What Will He Choose

What will he choose?

Will it be me?

Or will he choose

To remain free?

He said goodbye

And only one day has past.

Only twenty-four hours

How long they seem to last.

Each minute an hour

And the seconds even longer.

I always thought that time

Would make me stronger.

But weak I remain

Alone in my bed.

"Maybe we should break up"

Repeating over in my head.

What will he choose?

His old way of life

With other women on his body

And walking by his side.

Whispering his words

He use to say to me

Not hearing my voice

Someone else he sees.

Someone else gets him

Now what do I do?

Who am I suppose to say

I love you to?

What will he choose?

What choice will it be?

May I make a request?

Choose me.

I have searched for more of Nichole's poetry that reflected the "good" times with this young man. I have only found a few which I have already shared with you. There seems to be far more poetry reflecting turmoil and self doubt about their relationship.
