My Secret Lover

From a distance

I can almost make out his words.

He is swift as a tiger

But gentle as a bird.

He talks to many

Not to me though

I love him greatly

And of this he'll never know.

Loving him from afar

and with nothing returned.

I want to tell him

but I'm petrified of being burned.

So never will my lips touch his

No kiss of lovers warm embrace.

And my heart will die a little everyday

But of this there will be no trace.

Yearning for his taste

I sit and choose to remain alone.

He has no clue, how could he

No signs have I shown.

So night after night

I lie in bed and cry.

Upset that I've been hurt

And that my heart is not willing to try.

Though you will never know

I love you sweet,  sweet man.

And I will day dream of us together

Walking on the beach

Hovering above the sand.

Thank you for these thoughts

They make me eternally pleased.

And I know it will never come

It is simply my heart being teased.

You do not know me

And I to you or so it seems.

But we will be together

Every night in my dreams.

Unfortunately not to long after this poem she did start to get attention from this boy she liked. At first she seemed happier than ever before but that was not to last.

Her journey takes a little turn after this poem. I hope you stay with us as we continue her journey and if you like My Secret Lover, please vote.
