~Sangeet Ceremony~

A a r u s h

The grand Sangeet Ceremony was moments away from commencing, and all the guests had gathered in the spacious hall of the palace. However, I couldn't help but notice that one important person was missing - my Dhriti. I had made the difficult decision to stop talking to her since yesterday, and it was tearing me apart from the inside. I tried my best to maintain my composure and not let my emotions get the best of me.

Despite my inner turmoil, I couldn't shake off the nagging question in my mind - would Dhriti come back to me? I had resolved not to go after her, but the thought of her not being by my side made me regret my decision. To make matters worse, I had missed out on the opportunity to apply Haldi on her during the pre-wedding ceremony.

To add insult to injury, that pain in my ass Ishaan had applied it to her instead. I couldn't help but feel annoyed by the situation, but I knew that my love for Dhriti was stronger than any temporary setback.

My heart skipped a beat as I stood there restlessly. And then, suddenly, I saw her - Dhriti, descending the staircase in a stunning baby blue net saree, with a sleeveless blouse that perfectly complemented her chiselled arms. Her hair was free and flowing, swaying with every step she took. And the best part? She wore a choker around her neck, adding a touch of elegance to her already breathtaking beauty. But what truly made my heart race was the smile that graced her lips - a smile that was both enchanting and leaving me spellbound.

"Hayeee. . .if she comes like this, I would need CPR immediately. She is taking my whole breath." I mumbled myself.

Control, Aarush. Control!

Don't forget that you're upset with her, don't let it go. I turned my head to the other side as her eyes met mine.

Someone tapped my shoulders, I think it was her but no it was Nithya. This girl is really annoying.

"Why are you standing alone? I can give you company," Nithya said as Dhriti was looking at us with a poker face, okay so she was jealous that's why she didn't show any expression.

"No thanks, Aarush Bhai is not alone, I'm with him not only me Veer Bhai, Rehaan Bhai and Charan Bhai are also with him. So you don't need to worry about this," Ayaan said placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Even if it's not enough, I'm also with him," Aashu said holding my arm on my other side.

"But I can stand here, right?" Nithya said.

"Actually Bhai, Mom is calling you," Aashu said. I know it is a lie but anyway, I went with Aashu leaving a sulking Nithya behind us.

"Did really Mom call me, Aashu?" I asked her.

"Sorry Bhai, I lied to you." She lowered her head.

"For what?"
"To save you from her. Didn't you see how she was trying to cling to you? Like hell, I will let her do that." She huffed.

"You little Devil!" I commented tugging her cheeks.

"Anyways let's go near Mom," I said as we walked to Mom.

Ayaan and Aashvi are all set to anchor the function and they are already at the centre of the hall, ready to take the stage.

"Hey all, myself Ayaan Malhotra." Ayaan bowed his head saying, dramatic boy!

"And I'm Aashvi Malhotra, so we're here to celebrate the grand Sangeet Ceremony of Mr Aryan Malhotra and would be Mrs Aryan Malhotra." Everyone clapped their hands.
