[ Chapter 32 ]

"Sif..." Y/n muttered, watching as the wolf prance around the room like she owned the place, a look of annoyance present in the eyes of her master.

"I was right! I was right! Yes, I was!" Sif sang in response, only further annoying the embarrassed man who found himself on the receiving end of Sif's sing-song voice.

"Oi! How the heck was I supposed to know?" Y/n responded, crossing his arms as he leaned on the back of his room door.

"I just thought he, she...was a very androgynous man..."

It had been only a day since the world's most historic gender reveal, one that surprisingly didn't light anything on fire. Instead, the bomb that had been dropped twice on Y/n, resulted in a much brighter future for both the man and Artoria. But that of course was still to be seen.

Shocking, to say the least, and a little overjoyed to put it lightly, after goodbyes were said, the man had spent the rest of his time alone in his room. He needed to get his thoughts in order after what had happened, even turning down doing something with Merlin, though the woman did also seem a little... Well until Sif came back of course. The wolf has been none the wiser to what had occurred that day, well until now at least.

But, for the rest of that day, the redhead had much to think about, all of his thoughts centering around his king of course, though it would be more accurate to call them lovers. But surely, if you referred to the two as such, especially when in front of them, their reactions would be hilarious to say the very least.

I still need to get used to seeing her, as... Well, her... Kinda difficult when you're in my position, ya know? Y/n thought as he watched Sif's tail wag, his friend was certainly proud at being right. But that doesn't mean she can just laugh at me!

Ah yes, while the day had just started, as it was still partly dark outside, Y/n had oddly woken up very early. Maybe it was due to not getting enough sleep from thinking all throughout the night, or it could have been something else that made him want to get up early. He did have plans made for today, some were of his own making, while others... Safe to say, today was going to be very interesting.

No matter the reason, the man's early rise surprised Sif, and seeing that the wolf was also up, Y/n decided now was a good time to reveal the truth he had learned about Artoria, along with what he agreed to and had transpired.

But right now? The man couldn't help but regret his decision.

While the wolf was certainly surprised at the many things she had learned, Sif couldn't help but feel an overwhelming amount of satisfaction at being proven right. A classic case of "I told you so", was occurring right before Y/n's eyes as Sif strutted around with a level of confidence that none could match. And, unfortunately, he was the victim.

Stopping right in front of her master, Sif seemed to grin up with a sense of smugness written all over her.

"But master, your nose is as good as mine, so how could you not know? Hahaha! It's not like you never had chances to get up close." Sif said in a very sarcastic tone, fully enjoying and taking in the power before her. Staring up at Y/n as he narrowed his eyes at her, trying to appear unfazed, though, on the inside, he was more than embarrassed. His senses were unlike any other, so this was a rather crippling defeat.

"...I just didn't see a reason to sniff her! That would be weird, and creepy for me to do..." Y/n quickly said in retort, trying to save any shred of pride he had left in this current moment. But, like any close friend, Sif knew a lot of things the man has done and kept secret out of sheer embarrassment.
