Raven pov: today I was taking my niece and nephew school shopping. Paris is going to the 4th grade and Jamel is in high school, 9th grade! I'm so happy I get to spend all this time with my niece and nephew cause I really enjoy it. I love their bond though, Jamel and Paris are so close just like me and Jamal were.
Jamel: sees a boy from his gang) um TT let's go
Raven: what's wrong ?
Jamel: nothing I'm um tired
Raven: don't lie to me Mel , what's going on ?
Alex:(walking over to them) what's up home boy (smirks) ain't seen you in a minute
Jamel: Paris go wit TT
Paris: what's going on?
Jamel: what you want Alex ? Why you bothering me ?
Raven: little boy you don't scare my nephew. I don't give a fuck about you being in a gang. Y'all jumped him out right ?

Raven: exactly, now gone and tell the rest of the gang that, cause y'all met my husband but trust me I'm much worse than him(smiles) have a great day honey. Don't let me catch you lacking alright ( pats his shoulder)
(Alex runs away)
Jamel: TT you got a gun !?
Raven: I have a lot actually ( smiling) come on , let's go to foot locker next
Paris: TT was in a gang too
Raven:(stops walking) who told you that ?
Paris: I heard daddy say it before

Raven pov: she's right, I joined a gang when I was in high school. I had my ass whooped to get in and they did much worse for me to get out. Jamal hated it and kept trying to get me to leave. I only joined it because I rarely had friends. The gang treated me so good when I first joined. After awhile I wanted out. I haven't even told Santana about it. It's not something I'm proud of. Once we got done I drove them to Layla's house cause Paris was spending the night there. We got out the car and Jamel used his key and we went inside.
Layla: hey y'all had fun ?
Jamel: yeah TT let us buy so much stuff (carrying his bags)
Paris: yeah!!
Raven:I'm glad y'all had fun, I'm bout to go so gimme my hugs
( they walk over and hug her)
Raven: bye babies I love y'all
Jamel: bye tt I love you too
Paris: I love you too tt
(The kids go upstairs )
Layla: what's wrong why you looking like that?
Raven: one of the little boys from his gang tried to intimidate him at the mall, I shut that shit down immediately
Layla:(sighs) thank you Ray
Raven: don't worry, they ain't gone bother him no more I promise you that
Layla: nods) I'm just so worried about him, I never thought he would get into that lifestyle
Raven: I get it, I would go crazy if my boys ever joined a gang, but like I said I got it handled,me and Santana not gone let nothing happen to him
Layla:(nods) you're just like Jay(smiles) he was so protective
Raven: smiles) I learned from the best, Call me if you need anything
Layla: okay
Santana pov: I was at home on a zoom call with JP and the rest of my staff at my Detroit location. The shop was ready to be opened and we were tryna pick a date for the grand opening party. Bae been gone all day with her niece and nephew and I'm glad to see her getting back to normal and getting her energy back.
Raven:(coming in the house, whispers ) you on zoom?
Santana: nods) yeah
Raven: ok
Raven pov: I washed my hands then came and got the boys from him. I missed my babies. They're almost 3 months now and it's been amazing watching the grow. They're both advanced because they try so hard to crawl and lift their heads already. I still can't believe I'm a mama! It's the best feeling in the entire world. I went and put them in their portable bed and then hopped in the shower real quick and changed. By the time I was out Santana was walking into the room.
Santana: mmm hey baby (walking over to her ) how was your day ?
Raven: it was good, we had a little issue at the mall but overall it was perfect
Santana:( kisses her) what happened at the mall? Why you ain't call me?
Raven: it wasn't nothing major, once of the little boys from the gang thought he was gone scare Jamel and I put that ass in check. Nothing to worry about
Santana: you sure?
Raven: yes baby I'm sure, I need to tell you something that nobody really knows
Santana: what's up?(sits on the bed)
Raven: I used to be on a gang when I was in high school
Santana: I know
Raven:(raises an eyebrow) you know?
Santana: it's certain stuff you do I could tell, plus you weren't fooling me wit that scar on your hip. I've been on multiple gangs, the Bloods were one and I know they gave a lot of the females who ran wit them that same scar
Raven:sighs) it's not something I'm proud of, I joined cause I wanted friends. I never fit in at school for real and they treated me so good at first
Santana: i ain't judging, I know how it goes. I'm just glad you out now and away from that life style (pulling her onto his lap)
Raven: I want my nephew and niece as far away as they can be from that
Santana: I know and we gone make sure of that
