Raven pov: today I was spending time with my nephew and I was so damn excited. I told Layla that I would meet at her house and get him since he had practice. I pulled up to their house and blew the horn and he came about a few minutes later.
Layla: have fun honey
Jamel: bye mama ( getting in the car ) hey TT
Raven: hey baby , how was practice?
Jamel: it was real good
Raven: what do you play?(backing out the driveway)
Jamel: basketball
Raven: ooh okay, I played basket ball for two years in high school, I was pretty good at it
Jamel: really ? Who taught you how to play ?
Raven: your dad(smiles) I was kinda a tomboy so I was always under Jay when I was younger and playing wit the guys
Jamel: he talked about you all the time, I always wanted to meet you but he said I couldn't because of granddad
Raven: sighs) yeah I'm finding a lot out about your granddad, but TT is here now and I'm not going anywhere
Jamel:(smiles) okay
Raven: so where do you wanna go ? I was thinking the arcade cause I'm the goat of course
Jamel: woahh , I'm the goat. I'm the best in the city !
Raven: laughs) oh really, we finna go see right now !
Raven pov: I drove to Dave and Busters and we went inside. We played just about every game in there and I won most of them. We stayed about 3 hours before going to Buffalo Wild Wings to get something to eat.
Raven: so Santana told me you were in a gang, what was that about ? You still in it ?
Jamel:(sighs) I'm not in it anymore. I joined a few months ago but then I wanted out because I realized that wasn't the type of kid I was and that's how I met Santana
Raven: why did you join in the first place ?
Jamel: I missed dad, I felt like I had so much anger built up and I needed a way to release it
Raven: now you know he wouldn't have wanted you to be in a gang. You been giving your mama a hard time huh?
Jamel: yes
Raven: look me and santana gone be working with you on that anger. But I want you doing better. I bet not hear nothing about you slipping in school or giving your mama a hard time. You understand
Jamel: yes ma'am
Raven: now what do you say, we go to the mall after this ?
Jamel: yes!
Raven:(smiles) alright
Jamel pov: my dad always talked about TT Ray, she was his best friend for real and they had a super close bond. I feel like she the closest thing left I have to my dad. I'm glad she's in my life.
Later that night:
Raven:(pulling up in the driveway and parks) well I hope you had fun today
Jamel: I did(sighs)
Raven: what's wrong?
Jamel: do you really have to go?
Raven: it's late lil man, plus I gotta work in the morning
Jamel: can I please go wit you? I won't be in the way, I can even help you at work. Please
Raven:go ask your mama
Jamel: okay ( gets out the car and goes inside )
Raven pov: he did not wanna leave and I honestly didn't want him to go either. I dont mind taking him with me. I'm guessing Layla said it was cool because after a few minutes he came back with a duffle bag.
Jamel: she said yes (smiles)
Raven: okay, let's go
Jamel: gets in and shuts the door and puts his seatbelt on) how long have you and Santana been dating ?
Raven: 3 years now (smiles)
Jamel: you excited to marry him?
Raven: of course, he's so amazing and makes me really happy (pulling out the driveway)
Jamel: what are the twins names?
Raven: Royal and Seven
Jamel: I like them, it's different
Raven; thank you
Raven pov: once we got to my house I showed him to the guest bed room and let him get settled in while I went to my room.
Santana: hey baby ( rocking the baby to sleep)how it go?
Raven:hey, it was so perfect, he's actually spending the night, he didn't want to leave
Santana: smiles) aww he love his TT already
Raven:(smiling hard) yes he does, he's an amazing kid baby, reminds me so much of jay. I feel like that grief I was feeling is gone now that Jamel is around (getting undressed)
Santana: I'm happy for you bae
Raven: thank you
(Raven goes and takes a shower and changes. Once she's done she Carries the twins to their room and put them in bed and then goes to the guest room to check on Jamel )
Raven:(knocks on the door)you good ?
Jamel: yes
Raven:(opens the door ) I just wanted to see if you needed anything ?
Jamel: no I'm okay
Raven: alright, well I'm heading to bed, don't be up too long okay
Jamel: yes ma'am
Raven: good night (smiles)
Jamel: good night TT(smiles)
(Raven closes the door and heads back into her room to see Santana laying down)
Raven: clear my spot (smiles)
Santana:laughs and moves the pillow from underneath his arm) come on big baby
Raven: lays down ) how was your day ? The twins kept you busy?
Santana: yes, been changing shitty diapers all day. I don't know what the hell is in your breast milk (laughs)
Raven:(laughs) damn
Santana:(wraps his arm around her waist) mmm you smell like strawberries
Raven: really ?
Santana: mhm what lotion you put on ?
Raven: vanilla (laughs) your nosey is messed up
Santana:(laughs) whatever you still smell good
