Mike James

I had just came from getting the final measurements for our tux's and I just wanted to go home and chill because this wedding stuff has me beat. There was so much going on that I didn't know if I was coming or going. I made sure to check the mail before I walked inside. It was nothing but junk mail, but I've paper stood out to me.

I opened the letter and began to read:

Dear Mr. James,

You have fallen behind on your mortgage payments. You must bring the mortgage current within 30 days of the date of this letter by sending the amount shown below to Nations Default Services in the form of a money order or certified check.

The total amount due as of January 4, 20XX is $210,000.53

To bring your account current, you must also include with the above payment, any payments or late charges that are due during this 30-day period. Acceptance of less than the total amount due includes, but is not limited to, the principal and interest and all other outstanding charges and costs. Acceptance of less than the total amount due does not waive our right to demand the entire balance due under the terms of your mortgage agreement.

If you do not bring your loan current within 30 days of the date of this letter, Nations Default Services will demand the entire balance outstanding under the terms of your mortgage agreement. This amount includes, but is not limited to, the principal and interest and all other outstanding charges and costs. Nations Default Services will start legal action to foreclose on the mortgage, which will result in the sale of the property. We may also have the right to seek a judgment against you for any deficiency after the home is sold.

You have the right to bring your loan current after legal action has begun. You also have the right to assert in the foreclosure proceeding the nonexistence of the default or any other defense to our legal action and sale of the property.

We want to work with you to resolve the problem and help you bring your account into good standing. We urge you to contact [name] at [telephone number] who will work with you to try to solve your current difficulty.

Sincerely,

Ed Miliband

I had to read this letter over and over. What in the hell was this about? What loan? Foreclosure? $210,000.53? What? Final notice? When did I even get the first notice? I haven't seen any bills come in lately so what the fuck was going on?

I get pissed as fuck! I get up and head into our bedroom. I search high and low for any bills I could find.

"Fuck!" I yell. I fucked up the whole room and still found nothing. I sit on the side of the bed and think about where she could hide them.

An hour later I had found the bills taped behind the headboard. I looked at all the bills over the past couple of months. I don't remember making any of these purchases. Some of these purchases were over $10,000.

What the actual fuck?!

I heard the front door open and Brit's voice as she entered the house.
