Tonight is prom night.

In just over two weeks Alex will be graduating and in less than three months he will be heading off to college.

He has come such a long way sine the start of the school year.

We have come such a long way.

This time last year I could've have never imagined my self here.

Sitting in Cora's room as we got ready for prom.

Her brother being my date.

The man I am hopelessly in love with.

"Can I use some of that blush?" Cora asks and I pass her the container.

She dusts some on her brush before applying it to her cheeks.

"My mom said she wants to take some pictures of us once Landon gets here."

I nod, not speaking on that subject.

Landon had cheated and even though Cora had forgiven him I couldn't.

How could you claim to love and respect someone and then go behind their back and betray them like that?

I wouldn't force her to break up with him, I would just remind her she deserved better.

She really did.

I watch as she twists the ends of her curled hair.

We had gotten our hair done a the salon earlier.

Cora's hair was curled with half of it pinning back.

Mine was in an updo with curled pieces strategically pulled out of it.

"Are the rest of Alex's friends coming?" She asks as I apply some lipstick to my lips.

I nod, "Yeah Stevie and Toby are coming together. Ben and Willy are solo."

She hums.

We finish applying the rest of our make up and go to put our dresses on.

Mine is a lavender spaghetti strap dress. It had tool with flowers stitched into it.

I had on a pair of white heels.

Cora is in a baby pink off the shoulder dress. It had that satin look and she had matching baby pink heels.

"Ready?" She asks and I nod.

Linking our arms together we leave the room and head down stairs.

The moment the living room comes into view, I lock lies with Alex.

He gulps and if I didnt know any better I would say maybe even a little flustered.

I smile at him and he bites his lower lip.

I know where those lips are going tonight.

Walking up to him, he opens a box revealing a light purple corsage.

He takes it out and slips it onto my wrist.

I don't miss the slight shake in his hand as he does so.

"You look-" He swallows, "Fuck."

"Language Alexander." His mom says and I laugh.

Leaning in his whispers into my ear something that sends a hot shiver down my spine.
