Sitting in English today, Mr. Shields asks us how our projects are coming along.

Everyone responds with 'good' or 'fine'.

Then he goes on to start the lesson for today.

It's Tuesday and homecoming is only three days away.

This week everyone is getting asked in different ways.

It's like people wait to the last minute to ask.

One of those guys being Landon.

Yesterday he came into school with a three foot teddy bear and a bouquet of roses for Cora.

It happened during lunch, as I watched from Alex's table.

I sat there again yesterday helping him 'study'.

Ben and I also talked a little more about music.

He shared his playlist to me but I lied about not having one.

I feel like listening to someones playlist is so personal.

Maybe that's just me.

"I will pair you guys up and you will interview each other with the questions that are written on your paper." Mr Shields says before partnering people up.

"Cora and Jason...."

Cora turns to me, "Ew not Jason. His finger is literally digging for gold right now."

Turning in my seat I see that Cora isn't exaggerating. Almost his entire finger is lodged in his nose.

Turning back to her I give her a sympathetic look, "Sorry."

"Naomi and Olivia..."

I close my eyes and Cora laughs.

Bitch.

"Looks like we're partners." Naomi says from beside me.

'Be thankful.' Cora mouths referring to Jason.

Taking a deep breath I turn to face Naomi.

"Do you want to go first, or should I?" I ask and she shrugs.

"If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?" I ask the first question on the paper.

Naomi just stares for a moment before she responds.

"Like books we've read in school?"

"Any book you've ever read. Which one would you choose to read for the rest of your life?"

"What's the one we read last year in English?" She asks and I furrow my brows.

"We read four books: Frankenstein, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime, Death Of A Salesman, The Yellow Wallpaper."
