"Thank you for coming so early in the morning." Minho turns around to the lead the other through the house.

Changbin let's out a chuckle as they weaver around the boxes in the front room. "It's after one in the afternoon."

Minho stops, realising the idiotic words that came out of his mouth. "Sorry, my phone died so I don't actually know the time."

"It's alright," Changbin notices Minho looking around confused, "...the electrics should be in the basement."

"Ah, yes." Minho takes Changbin's word for it and heads to the door under the stairs. Going to open the door he finds it locked. "One moment." Minho disappears and quickly returns with a set of keys. Unlocking the door it's reveals darkness, no lights are working and there is no natural light inside the basement. Of course it's dark... it's a basement. Looking in, Minho feels a chill travel down his spin, the hairs on the back of his neck stand.

Fishing in his toll box, Changbin pulls out a flashlight, "Can you hold this for me?" Changbin hands Minho the flashlight. Making their way down the old wooden stairs, Minho wraps his jacket around him tighter. The air has become cooler and thicker to breath, clouds forming with each exhale. Reaching the bottom, it's not as empty as Minho expected. The walls are lined with shelves half filled with random boxes of things from previous owners.

"This should take just a moment." Changbin says bringing Minho out of thought.

After a few minutes, Changbin flips the final switch and the basement lights up. Everything can be seen a lot clearer, including the damaged brick wall to their right that has dark marks splattered across it.

"A few years back a boy was living here... he was a sweet innocent boy, could barely harm a fly." Changbin talks in an almost emotionless voice as he stares at the wall with Minho. Minho however is confused about what Changbin is talking about and why he is. "I don't know why but someone killed him and his friend one night. They tortured the poor boys like they were a child's toy." Changbin let's out a deep sigh remembering the event that took place.

"Why are you telling me this?" Minho asks without his eyes leaving the stains on the wall.

"As a warning..." Changbin slams the electric cupboard shut and makes his way back up the stairs, out of the bone chilling basement. Minho breaks away from the wall, following after changbin. "People have said that they've seen a boy walk this house as night, crying. I don't expect you to live here for long anyway. Most people leave not long after the first few weeks. I don't personally believe in ghosts but if that boy has become one, I'm sure he could never harm you." As Changbin speaks the hairs on the back of Minho's neck stand stiffer, as if the warm of someones breath tickles behind him.

"Well, that's all sorted I should get going and let you unpack but, don't fully unpack if you plan on leaving soon." Changbin waves, leaving before Minho can ask any questions.

Minho moves away from the basement door, not wanting to be anywhere near it at the moment. He already has enough problems to deal with; getting the water fixed, cleaning whatever is in the fridge, unpacking the rest of his stuff, finding a job, and getting over his lovers death.

"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming." He mumbles under his breath a quote he says when the weight of the world feels like it's on his shoulders— a quote he says when he wants to feel stronger.
