A/N: HELP ME HAS REACHED 4.2K READS!  Thank you to all my readers and followers of this story!  As a thank you, here is an early post of Chapter 43.  Friday's chapter will still be posted as well.  So two this week!  Thank you again!

Shortly after Jimin picked up Jungkook, Y/N was in the kitchen straightening up. Although she was grateful for Jimin coming over and spending time with her, letting her visit with Jungkook, the conversation about Yoongi had really gotten to her. It had been two weeks since she had seen her kitty and she missed him even more than she thought possible.

Grabbing her sketchbook, Y/N sat on the sofa, flipping the book open to her latest drawing. It was a sketch of Yoongi, asleep on the sofa, cat stuffie under his arm, covered by his favorite blanket. She had planned on working on it a little more, but when Y/N looked at the sketch, a wave of loneliness crashed over her. Y/N ran her finger down the sketch, tracing the soft lines that made up her kitty's fuzzy ears, the sweet smile that appeared on his face when he was having good dreams, the subtle curve of his slim frame under the blanket.

Unable to handle it anymore, Y/N closed the book, setting it down on the coffee table. As much as she wanted to continue the sketch of Yoongi, she just wasn't ready. Leaning her head back on the sofa, Y/N closed her eyes, trying to control the tears that were threatening to spill down her cheeks. She had cried more tears the last two weeks than she had in a long time, the feelings of grief rushing over her like a tidal wave.

At the sound of the doorbell, Y/N quickly wiped her tears and stood, brushing the hair from her face. She unlocked the door and pulled it open, her eyes widening in shock at the sight on the other side of the threshold.

Yoongi was standing there, next to Jin, eyes cast down to the ground. He had his keyboard in hand, along with his headphones and the leather portfolio Y/N had bought him. Y/N could immediately tell he had lost weight, too much weight on his already slender frame. His skin was paler than usual and he had dark circles under his eyes, a clear indication that he wasn't sleeping well.

Jin was standing next to him, a look of shame and grief on his face. "Can... can we come in?"

Y/N nodded then pulled the door open further, gesturing for them to come in. Once they crossed the threshold, Y/N closed the door, taking the few extra seconds to pull herself together. Why were they here? Could it be...? Y/N gave herself a mental shake, trying to push down the flash of hope that coursed through her. "Have a seat," she said, motioning towards the sofa.

Yoongi and Jin sat down on the plush cushions, leaving plenty of space for Y/N to join them, but she sat down in a chair across from them. At her distance, Yoongi's heart split in two. He had hoped she would be excited to see him, but her blank expression gave away nothing and his heart felt strangely hurt.

"What can I do for you Jin?" Y/N asked, ignoring the way Jin flinched at her polite tone. She knew she didn't speak up the day everything went to hell, but she was so much in shock over everything that happened that the thought didn't cross her mind. She wanted so badly to blame Jin, but she knew that she was at fault as well.

Jin's heart dropped at the overly polite tone in his friend's voice, a tone he was familiar with, but one that was never directed at him. It was the tone she used when she was speaking to someone she didn't really want to be around. "I... I want to apologize. I didn't give you a chance to explain what happened that day between Jaehyun and Yoongi. I... I automatically assumed the worst of you." Jin sighed and continued. "I've been a terrible friend. I took Yoongi away because I thought he was in danger."

Y/N's eyes dropped down to her lap at his words. "It's... it's fine. Making sure they are safe is your responsibility. I... I understand why you made that decision. I couldn't protect... couldn't protect Yoongi."
