They were on the flight, with heavy hearts, yet a smile on their lips. They had got themselves a lot of memories from Maldives. It was a happy trip in every sense. Shehnaaz has laid her head on his shoulder and was fast asleep, where as Siddharth has his eyes closed and beautiful smile adorning his lips. He was in the land of their memories, he loved every bit of it, her smiling, the sound of her giggles, her angry pouted lips, the taste of those lips which he could not get enough of ever, her warmth, her everything just filled his heart with boundless love. How much he loved this little bundle , he would never be able to explain. She snuggled in him more making him kiss her forehead and pull more in him making his heart warm. After hours of travel they landed Banaglore. She was not happy coming back to bangalore leaving a heaven behind, how could she be? They left for their home and decided to relax until tomorrow.
*NEXT DAY*
Siddharth and Shehnaaz reached office late than usual. As soon as they entered the office, Shehnaaz left for her cabin and he was greeted by everyone. He just entered his cabin and was informed with not a very good news which angered him as well as scared him to his wits
"Siddharth there is something that you need to know", Anirudh spoke showing seriousness and Siddharth hummed in response, gesturing him to continue.
"After you left for the trip, I was looking for the work when Ramesh(the lift repairing man) came up to me and told that there are chances that the lift incident was not and accident but a very well planned event to harm Shehnaaz."
"Are you sure and how did he conclude about it", Siddharth said in anger knowing that Shehnaaz was harmed intentionally.
"He told that there was no such problem in the lift , so he went to the control room and found the switch to be turned off"
"call him right now"
In no time Ramesh was in the cabin with a worried lines on his forehead thinking that he would have done something wrong and might loose his job. Siddharth asked him about the lift incident, to which he replied
"Shahab jab lift kharab hui toh main dekhne gya kya kami hui par kuch fault nahi mila toh mene control room jaake dekha toh main switch band kar rkha tha Shahab, aisa lag rha tha kisi ne jaan boojh kar kiya ho",
He left the cabin along with Anirudh and a very tensed and a scared Siddharth. All the flashes of the horrifying day came running back to him making his spine chill with the fear he felt that day and he was and would never be ready to face that fear again. He quickly called a detective to look in the case, because if he would take help of police the person behind this might get alert and might harm her. He fixed a meeting with the detective in the evening in a café. The moment he hung up, Shehnaaz barged in,straddled in his lap, making a sad pout hiding herself in his neck. Feeling her this close was not new but after the information he got a few moments back, it felt as if he got his life back. He wrapped his arms around her holding her firmly and protectively, protecting her from every coming harm like a shield.
"kya hua bacha", the softness in his voice made her heart flutter and her lips smile.
"mujhe yaad aai teri bhut jyda or mujhe pyaar ki kami lag rhi thi mujhme,toh mein aa gyi", she murmured still intact at her place.
"mera bacha", he groaned and cupped her face, kissing every inch of face except her lips. She made a grumpy face, and he very well knew the reason but decided to play along.
"kya hua bacha, abhi bhi pyaar ki kami hai", mischievousness was clearly visible in his voice but Shehnaaz seemed to not identify it and spoke irritatedly.
"kiss me, gandi waali", he pecked her lips, parting his lips in a few seconds irritating her more. "Siddharth ache se kar gandi waali kiss", and he again did the same. This was it for Shehnaaz, she fisted his hairs, not harshly and slammed her lips for a passionate and wild kiss making his lips bleed a little.
"my wild kitten", and he again joined their lips for a soft kiss. She smiled in the kiss and parting the lips she resumed her position and he cradled her, closing his eyes and letting his fear and restlessness fade away.
It was already lunch time so he called for lunch and was having their lunch when Rhea came in and to Shehnaaz's dismay joined them for lunch.
"Siddharth baby I missed uh and why didn't you inform me about the trip I would have joined you and we would have had some us time", she spoke in extra sultry tone faking her accent which made Shehnaaz laugh on her as well as angry for the speaking shit to her man infront of her.
Before she could say anything Siddharth spoke.
"Rhea don't baby me and there is no us between you and me and there can never be.I hope I have made myself very clear"
Rhea definitely did not like what he said but forced a smile speaking "Come on Siddharth, we are friends and business associates and we would look perfect together,media will be always around us,we will always be in lime light, so what's wrong in giving a chance. Right? "
This angered Shehnaaz to no limits. She so wished she could just snap her head off.
"chudail" she muttered under her breath with a line of more curses which followed.
Siddharth stared Rhea with a disgusted look
"Listen Rhea I don't want to be in lime light with you just for the sake of public. I want to be there where my heart is", he spoke eyeing Shehnaaz and she smiled in response. Rhea was a burning soul by now and decided to keep quiet for meanwhile knowing that one day Siddharth will be by her side forever.
It was the closing time now and everyone was heading home when Ishika came to Shehnaaz and aksed her to come along with her and she couldn't deny.
"just wait Ishika I will be back in moment", and rushed to Siddharth's cabin.
"Siddharth you go ahead I will come with Ishika", she informed him as she reached his cabin.
"okay sweetheart",he spoke pecking her lips and lingering his lips on her forehead for a while.
"Do you want me to get something for you?" he asked coming out of the cabin along with her. "Ice cream",she stated giggling. "mera bacha ", he cooed kissing her forehead lovingly before parting ways with her.
He headed towards the café to meet the dectetive. On other hand Shehnaaz was with Ishika enjoying their girl time when Ishika asked her about the trip.
"So how was the trip Shehnaaz? Or tune mujhe kyun nahi bat apne or Siddharth ke baare mein",
"kya btati, pta hi nahi chala kab he became so important for me and now it feels impossible to think a life without him"
"ohooo yeh baat hai sahi hai yaar, I know he is great man and I am so happy for you, you deserve all the love in the world cup cake", she said happily and hugged her. "chal chain chalte hein" "kahan?" Shehnaaz questioned. "acha chal mall chalte hai for some shopping than a celebration for your happiness", Shehnaaz hummed and blushed walking along with Ishika and her teasing. All the way she kept asking about Siddharth and her and she was blushing telling her their story but only pointers and no details.
*AT CAFE*
"Hi Siddharth I am Arjun", Arjun the detective introduced himself forwarding his hand for a handshake.
"Hi Arjun", he greeted him shaking their hands.
"So tell me what is about" Siddharth told him about the incident which horrified him to his wits and Arjun very paitently and keenly listened his every word. After his info he spoke " she is lucky, man", he smiled.
"Do you doubt someone?"
"No"
"Okay then tomorrow I will come to your office then I will start with my work and don't worry she will be alright having you around. Okay"
"Thanks Arjun, thank you so much."
He was back on his way to their home taking the icecream along. The meet with Arjun has calmed him a bit but the fear was never leaving him. He was scared every second now and could not take any chance with her safety. She was all what he had and he at any cost can't loose her. He will be damned if she even got a scratch. He loved her and how much, nothing in this world could measure. He reached home and not making any noises entered the home. He quickly kept the ice cream in the refrigerator and went inside the room. She was standing in the balcony enjoying the beautiful night, winds blowing and calmness spread. He hugged her from back and nuzzled his nose in her neck, kissing her.
"Boo-boo", she cooed feeling his warm breaths on her neck. He hummed burying himself more in her.
"Buggu freshen up, dinner is ready or mujhe bhut bhook lagi hai."
"okay baby coming in 5 minutes", he paced towards the washroom.
They were having their dinner with her telling him about all her talks with Ishika and whatever she did the whole day and he only admired her. She was jumping like kid seeing the ice cream, although she knew he would have get her an ice cream but it felt like a surprise for her. They were off to bed after an hour talking about everything they did and how much they missed each other.
