"(Y/n)! I don't understand this question, can you help me?"
You were currently at the sebongs' house, helping them with their homework. Even though you're new to the school you transferred to, or Seoul in general, you found yourself getting used to the environment pretty easily.
You previously lived in China until you moved to South Korea. Your cousin, Jun, encouraged you to go and even helped you look for a place to stay in. Oh by the way, he taught you how to speak Korean before you moved so there isn't an awkward language barrier :D
And since you adjusted pretty quickly to the place and your school, you didn't have any problem with transportation or your grades. You were one of the smartest students in your batch, maybe even your department. And because of that, these guys keep asking you for help when they have homework.
"-And this is how you get this answer. Get it?" You said as you looked up at Joshua, who has some kind of shocked expression on his face.
"Oh!" He let out, as if he understood what you explained. "How did you do it again??" He added, making you playfully roll your eyes at him. "It's like this." You pointed at the notebook and explained it once more.
[Hoshi's POV]
As I was doing my homework, I couldn't help but take subtle glances at (Y/n). She was currently teaching Joshua hyung how to answer his homework while I'm here, struggling. Everyone has probably finished with theirs as they started goofing around.
When I first met (Y/n), I had a small crush on her. You can call it "love at first sight". I had a habit of looking at her from time to time and sometimes admiring her from afar. We haven't really talked to each other but I could tell that she was a cool person. As time flew, we kept hanging out with her and this "small" crush has developed into something... more.
"Hoshi-ah?" I heard someone call out. I turned to the direction of the voice and saw Seungcheol hyung there. "Oh hi hyung. What's up?" I asked, patting at the space beside me, ushering the older one to sit down.
He complied and replied, "Nothing much- You're still not finished?" He pointed out as he saw me holding my pen and paper. I sighed, "Not yet.. I don't understand the questions.." I admitted, taking another glance at (Y/n) who was giving a high-five to Joshua hyung after he finally understood what she was trying to explain.
Seungcheol probably noticed that and my small, shy smile afterwards because he said, "Why don't you ask her for help? (Y/n) pretty much helped the rest of us so I think she can help you too."
I sighed, "I can't even look at her straight in the eyes hyung." I looked up at him, he puts his lips in a straight line, his dimples showing. "I get that you like (Y/n) a lot and I respect that but, you have to at least show that you care." He said, apologizing afterwards if it sounded harsh.
"She might lose interest in you and like someone else." He added, making me widen my eyes. He sighed and patted my shoulder. "Plus you'll never finish your homework if you don't ask." He shook his head and pretended to facepalm. I laughed, "Hyung!"
He pulled his hand away and carefully pointing at (Y/n), making sure she doesn't notice. "Go get her... Tiger."
I took a deep breath and grabbed my unfinished homework and approached her. I was literally a feet away until my whole body just made a u-turn and my feet guided me to my room instead. Everyone was giving me confused looks and Seungcheol just sighed in disappointment.
"Aish, why can't I just talk to (Y/n)..."
[Back to Your POV]
You looked at Hoshi as he walked away after he walked to your direction. He was also holding his homework too.. Was he supposed to ask for help? You thought as you looked at your cousin, Jun, who was by your side.
"Hoshi.. Such as weirdo." He chuckled as he looked back at you. "Is there something you wanted to tell me?" He asked. You nodded and looked around, "Not here though. Let's go in the hallway." You said.
"Okay then. C'mon." He said, doing a small "follow me" gesture and we both went to the hallway for some privacy. He crossed his arms, "What is it you want to tell me?"
You took a deep breath, "I think I'm falling for your best friend.."
Jun widened his eyes, "Who?? Is it Seungcheol hyung? No.. Joshua hyung?? Jeonghan-"
"Hoshi.." You cut him off. "I think I'm falling for Hoshi."
[Jun's POV + Time Skip]
"Hyung!" I shouted as I ran up to Jeonghan hyung. "Are you guys ready for later?" I asked him. Jeonghan hyung nodded, "Yup. Everything's set, he's on his way too." He said as he grabbed his things.
"Nice, let's go get her then." I said and walked to the front door but I turned back around and asked, "Where's Seungcheol and Joshua hyung?"
"Oh them." He said. "They're already there to make sure everything is in place."
"Okay cool cool." I said, opening the door and hopped into the car, Jeonghan hyung following after me. I smirked, "I'm gonna make a ship sail tonight."
[Your POV]
"Jun where are we going? It's already late.." You said as you looked out the window, seeing the city lighten up as the sun falls. "Somewhere. Don't worry, I'm not gonna give you to a serial killer." He joked.
"You better not." You rolled your eyes at him.
You continued to stare out the window as Jun drove. As you did, you didn't notice that he already pulled over and hopped off of the vehicle. You were abruptly disturbed by Jun opening the car door you were leaning on.
"Hey!" You shouted as you almost fell off the car. Luckily, Jun was there to catch your fall. "Sorry, I didn't notice you there." He chuckled, guiding you off the vehicle.
"So where are w-" You cut yourself off as you looked up at the dim environment you're in. "What the-? Jun where are we??"
Jun didn't give any response. You turned around and saw that he was already inside the car. He lowered the window and waved, "You better thank me late cuz! Buh-bye!" And with that, he left.
"Hey!!" You shouted at him. "You said you weren't gonna give me to a serial killer!"
"Uhm.. I haven't really killed anyone so.."
You turned back around and saw a faint figure of a man standing in front of you. "Who-"
Suddenly, everything started to light up. You covered your eyes at the sudden lights but you removed them after you got used to the brightness. As you did, you noticed that you were at the park but the trees were decorated with fairy lights and of course, there's that tree in the middle that is just filled with decorations.
"Wow.." You gasped in awe. You looked around and soon, your eyes met a familiar looking boy.
"No way.." You muttered. "H-Hoshi??"
He smiled, "That's me."
You slowly walked up to him as you continued to look around the park. When you're finally within his reach, you stopped and your eyes finally met. He blushed, "Hey there (Y/n).."
You couldn't help but smile at his cuteness. "Hey there."
"So do you know why we're here?" You asked him. He turned to his side and took a deep breath. He muttered something that sounded like, "you can do this soonyoung", and turned back to you.
"(Y/n).. Ever since I've met you, I couldn't help but grow feelings for you. Everything about you just..." He said, trying to look for words to describe the feeling. "I don't know what to call it but your appearance, your laugh, your gaze, the way you cope with everything when you moved here, your kindness. Wahh.."
You lightly pressed your cheeks together as you looked down at the floor, trying to hide your embarrassment. Hoshi was having a hard time trying to talk as he can't keep his eyes off your cuteness.
"The reason why I tend to avoid you or don't talk to you at times is because I was shy. I was scared that you'd think that I'm weird or something." He explained.
"S-So.. To keep it simple.. I like you a lot." He confessed. "The guys helped me plan everything so I'm sorry if I scared you or anything." He chuckled, scratching his nape.
"Hoshi.." You muttered and looked up at him. "I like you too."
His eyes lightened up, "Really?!" You nodded at him, making him hug you tight in excitement. He rested his chin on your head for a while before pulling away.
He cupped your cheeks and said, "I'm so happy!! I could kiss you!!" He blurted out. You two stared at each other for a while before he pulled away, "I'm sorry! I-"
You cut him off by giving him a small kiss on his cheek. "It's okay, you have my permission."
And with that, he pulled you in and kisses you. Of course, you kisses back. As you two had your own moment, you could see the boys there heading to your direction with a proud smile om their faces.
You smiled through the kiss, Maybe moving to Korea isn't bad after all.
