The day before Christmas, the wonderful Christmas Eve. You were buzzing around the castle with the girls as you tried to get ready for the ball. All your maids were with each girl bringing out dress after dress, necklace after necklace and shoe after shoe. Rikku was collapsed on the floor in sheer amazement.
"I can't believe how much stuff you have!" Xion exclaimed as she watched the maids come back in and out of the room. You were sat on Gentiana's bed and nodded along, completely embarrassed. Your sister was sat on her chair flicking through her book as the others were on the floor around you.
"Okay, so I think I've narrowed it down..." Kairi murmured in a trance. Gentiana glanced up from her book and her eyes flickered to each and every maid.
"Would you like my advice girls?" She asked quickly, you glanced at your sister as the girls glanced at your sister.
"Uh, sure?" Yuffie began, Gentiana closed her book and stood up. She floated across her bedroom floor and stood in the centre. You sat back on your elbows and closed your eyes.
"Well." She cleared her throat and waved one of her hands before closing her eyes. "if I were you Kairi I would go for this pink floral, knee length, off the shoulder, dress. Your hair should be pulled back into a low bun and your fringe should be slightly pushed to the side. You should wear a flat pair of dolly pink shoes." She turned to Luna. "Luna I would go for a light blue floral, off the shoulder dress, which is higher at the front and longer at the back. A high bun would fit perfectly, I would choose a pair silver high heels. Cindy you would fit a beautiful floral yellow off the shoulder dress, leave your hair down and straighten it. The dress should be short at the front and at the back it should float along the ground, you should also consider a pair of open toe wedges." The girls began to gawp at your sister. You knew she was good at this, but you didn't realise that after only two meetings with your friends she would find the perfect dresses for them. She dismissed the first set of maids and they ran to the three girls and handed over their dresses, shoes and accessories. "I trust you can sort out your own make up, I will be wearing, a long off the shoulder green sparkly dress. {Name}, this blue one should do for you." You gave a slight nod, you knew which dress she meant, the maid bowed to you and you took it from her gratefully. Gentinana turned her attention to Xion.
"Now Xion, I believe a black dress, with an over the top mesh and it should be knee length would suit you. Keep your hair as it is an add a sparkly silver headband, with a pair of black high heels. Aqua, I think this dress would be perfect for you a light blue butterfly accented over the knee dress, with a pair of white dolly shoes." Gentiana said, Aqua's eyes widened but she nodded enthusiastically.
"Namine, I think this pale blue dress with golden embroidery, this one has a bateau neckline and to elbow netting sleeves. Also your hair should be pulled back into a low bun and a pair of golden dolly shoes. Tifa, this navy blue long, off one shoulder dress should fit you perfectly, with a pair of silver high heels. As well as your hair up in a high ponytail." She said, she walked around the girls before stopping by Lightning. "I think this off one shoulder, silver and black long dress would be perfect for you. With your hair kept down but curled, a pair of nice black heels would suit nicely." She said, Tifa, Namine, Aqua and Lightning were given their dresses and even they were in amazement. Gentiana sent a smirk Paine's way and she raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing too extravagant I presume?" She asked, Paine nodded slightly and Gentiana turned to a maid with a black dress in her arms, the maid nodded and held it up. "For you Paine a black halter neck floor length dress. Underneath wear a pair of black boots. No one will notice." She gave her a wink before turning to Serah and Rikku. "Serah and Rikku, here are two heart shaped neckline dresses which go all the way to the floor. Serah yours is a purple jewelled bodice with a mix of light purple and white bottom half of the dress, a pair of silver wedges would go nicely and your hair curled. Rikku, your bodice will be blue, and the bottom half of the dress will be a mix of pink and light blue. I believe your hair in a high messy bun would fit nicely and a pair of pink wedges." She said, the maids gave the girls their dresses and Gentiana turned to Olette and Yuna and Aerith. "For you three, Olette a pink heart neckline and thin strapped, floor length dress with white patterns across the bodice and the hemline. Your hair should be down and curled lightly, a pair of pink small heeled shoes should do. Yuna, a darker pink floor length dress, with a white patterned bodice. Leave your hair as it is with a small silver flower on one side. A pair of white heels. Aerith for you, a dark red off the shoulder satin floor length dress, with tulle. Your hair should be in a high pony tail with a small black ribbon and a pair of red high heels." Your sister was on a roll and she only had a few girls left, you could tell by your friends faces that they were truly grateful for your sister's assistance. Gentiana turned to Yuffie, Vanille and Iris.
"And finally, Vanille a burgundy spaghetti strap floor length dress with lace thigh split. Leave your hair straightened and down and have an opened toe silver sparkly shoes. Yuffie, a black strapless knee length dress with lace illusion neckline and capped sleeves, a pair of black sparkly dolly shoes and your hair like it is with a silver clip. Iris, here is a silvery heart shaped neckline with over the top sparkly mesh, knee length dress, curl your hair and add a pair of nude high heels. And Fran will be in her type black off one shoulder, floor length dress, with a silver sparkly mid belt and across the shoulder silver sparkles." Gentiana stopped and everyone began talking one over the other with excitement.
"Alright, I suggest we get ready!" Yuffie said excitedly, everyone nodded.
"Let's do it!" And all of you began to get ready for the Christmas Eve ball.

You and the girls were ready and you were all making your way to the hall.
"I'm so nervous!" Iris hissed into your ear and you smirked.
"Why?"
"Because, like they'll be royals in there and everything..." She said gripping your arm. You shook your head.
"It'll be fine, besides everyone is usually more interested in my family." You stated, Iris raised an eyebrow as Xion bounded over to you.
"YEAH, but we're here this time and we attract everyone." She laughed, Iris sighed as you smiled. Fran met you all at the door and she curtsied to you and your sister.
"Everyone's inside. Have fun." She said, she nodded to the two guards and they pushed open the doors. Everyone gasped in awe as so many people were crowded into one hall. All the decorations had been completed and the hall felt like a magical Christmas wonderland. You all walked in with you and Gentiana leading the way. Everyone bowing and curtseying to you as you made your way to the bottom of the steps. Where your father and mother were standing. They noticed you and they nodded, causing the music to stop and everyone turn to your parents. "Welcome to our annual Christmas Ball! We hope you all enjoy the festivities tonight!" Your father bellowed to the whole room. You were stood with Xion and Namine both attached to your arms as you listened to your father's annual speech. For once it was relatively enjoyable, but you figured it was because your friends were here too, you hadn't seen the boys yet, but Hayner and Marlene were stood on either side of your parents. Hayner noticed you and gave you a smirk and you smiled up at him.

The night had been going swimmingly, everyone was enjoying the food. Rikku, Vanille and Cindy were getting their flirt on with royals. Vanitas, Zexion and Gensis were hiding in the corner with a drink in hand as Sora, Kairi, Demyx and Yuffie took to the dance floor partying hard. Axel, Reno, Terra and Zack took to the food table. Lightning, Tifa and Aerith accompanied your eldest sister and met some very handsome suitors. Cloud, Noctis, Leon and Gladiolus were casually talking whilst having many female royals flirt with them. And everyone else was taking it in turns around the hall chatting, dancing and eating with everyone as Prompto, snapped pictures of nearly everyone. Finally, you were alone standing outside in the cold staring up at all the twinkling lights. You sighed you were glad to be home, but nothing seemed to settle with you. You pushed your hair behind your ear as the wind blew softly around you. You walked through the courtyard and along the cobble stone until you came to an archway which led to a quiet garden, you ran your hand along the flowers and picked up a beautiful midnight blue rose. You exhaled and glanced up at the crystal blue heart shaped statue, you smiled they had decorated it with fairy lights. You sighed, knowing you had to be back in the castle ready for the stroke of midnight. You turned around but came face to face with.

"Zack." You breathed out, he was stood with his hands in his pockets and a small smile on his face. "What are you doing out here?" You asked, Zack let out a small chuckle.
"Because you were out here." He said simply, your cheeks reddened as he walked closer, he took your hand and pulled you closer.
"But why?" You said, he shrugged his shoulders.
"{Name}, do I really need to give a reason? I just, you're out here and I just wanted to be with you." He smiled at you and placed his other hand on your hip. "Princess {Name}, can I have this dance?" He asked, you nodded slowly, and you placed your hand on his shoulder and the two of you danced slowly.
"You know the first moment I met you, I knew how special you were. But never in my dreams did I think I'd end up dancing with a princess." He mused, you rested your head against his chest. A loud bang echoed through the night sky and the two of you stopped dancing to glance up at the fireworks. You pulled back slightly from Zack and he looked at his phone. "It's midnight, it's Christmas day." He said, you looked up as the sky was filled with fireworks. "Merry Christmas {Name}." He said, you glanced up at him. You could hear the faint music playing from the ballroom and the colours lit up around you two. You stepped closer to him, your heart racing as you reached up and wrapped your arms around Zack's neck. Your eyes closed and you pressed your lips against his causing Zack's eyes to widen before he swiftly kissed back, his eyes closed and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer and deepening the kiss.
Vanitas
"Vanitas?" You whispered, he was stood in his suit with a hand in his pocket and a bored expression. "What are you doing out here?" You asked, Vanitas let out a sigh and he walked closer to you.
"Because the only one interesting at this party was out here." He said, you raised an eyebrow.
"Your face says different." You said with a hint of annoyance. Vanitas glanced at you and stopped in front of you. He raised his free hand and slowly brushed your cheeks.
"You make me crazy on the inside." He stated bluntly, your eyes widened, and your cheeks reddened. "You really do princess." His fingers went to your neck until he dropped his hand from you. "Come on, your family will be worrying about you." He turned to walk away, and you reached out your hand and grabbed his arm. He stopped and glanced back at you.
"Stay with me." You said, Vanitas turned back to you and took your hand and placed it on his shoulder before he took your other hand, and he placed his other hand on your hip and the two of you danced slowly. A loud bang echoed through the night sky and the two of you stopped dancing to glance up at the fireworks. You pulled back slightly from Vanitas and he looked at his phone. "It's midnight." He said, you looked up as the sky was filled with fireworks. "Merry Christmas {Name}, it's Christmas day." He said, you glanced up at him. You could hear the faint music playing from the ballroom and the colours lit up around you two. "We should get going." He took a step back, his eyes never leaving yours as you stepped closer to him, your heart racing, you reached up and wrapped your arms around Vanitas' neck. Your eyes closed and you pressed your lips against his causing Vanitas' eyes to widen before he quickly kissed back, his eyes closed and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer and deepening the kiss.
Ven
"Ven?" You whispered, he was stood in front of you in his suit with his hands in his pockets, his eyes bright as he smiled at you. "What are you doing out here?" You asked, Ven chuckled.
"I could ask you the same thing. Aren't you cold?" He mused, you shook your head as he walked closer to you. "So your little sister is crazy." He laughed you smiled slightly as Ven took your hand and carefully placed your hand on his shoulder before he took your other hand and placed his free hand on your waist. You blushed slightly, "but she seems to like me. Kinda. She did step on my feet so I'm sure that means we're friends." He grinned at you and you giggled.
"You danced with her? That's brave." You said, Ven smirked.
"Well nothing beats this." He said, you pursed your lips together, "I'm glad I could come with you to your home." He said as the two of you slow danced together. A loud bang echoed through the night sky and the two of you stopped dancing to glance up at the fireworks. You pulled back slightly from Ven and he looked at his phone. "It's midnight, it's Christmas day." He said, you looked up as the sky was filled with fireworks. "Merry Christmas {Name}." He smiled at you and you glanced up at him. You could hear the faint music playing from the ballroom and the colours lit up around you two. "We should join the others!" He took a step back, his eyes never leaving yours as you stepped closer to him, your heart racing, you reached up and wrapped your arms around Ven's neck. Your eyes closed and you pressed your lips against his causing Ven's eyes to widen before he kissed back, his eyes closed and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer and deepening the kiss.
Terra"Terra." You breathed out, he was stood in his suit, his hands in his pockets and a small smile on his face. "What are you doing out here?" You asked, Terra let out a small chuckle. "I think it's pretty obvious {Name}." He said simply, your cheeks reddened as he walked closer, he took your hand and pulled you closer.
"I don't think so." You said, he squeezed your hand and twirled you out and in, so you were pressed against him.
"{Name}, do I really need to give a reason? I wanted to see you." He smiled at you and placed his other hand on your hip. "Princess {Name}, can I have this dance?" He asked, you nodded slowly, and you placed your hand on his shoulder and the two of you danced slowly.
"It's funny, I never thought I'd be out on Christmas with a princess." He mused, you rested your head against his chest. A loud bang echoed through the night sky and the two of you stopped dancing to glance up at the fireworks. You pulled back slightly from Terra and he looked at his phone. "Midnight, it's Christmas day." He said, you looked up as the sky was filled with fireworks. "Merry Christmas {Name}." He said, you glanced up at him. You could hear the faint music playing from the ballroom and the colours lit up around you two. You stepped closer to him, your heart racing as you reached up and wrapped your arms around Terra's neck. Your eyes closed and you pressed your lips against his causing Terra's eyes to widen before he swiftly kissed back, his eyes closed and he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer and deepening the kiss.
