Sitting in this hospital
Been here for hours
Grandma, I hope you get better
It was an emergency call, last minute
Had to stop what I was doing.
Didn't even eat dinner
Got told that we need to go
3 hours later we finally get into the room
Still sitting here waiting patiently
Bills getting out of hand
Quit my job a month ago to help
No one else could help besides my diabetic aunt
We drive to a bad area for a hospital
It's currently 1 A.M.
Not letting my family go here by themselves.
Wish I could have supported more, I can only do so much.
Chemo and radiation is destroying my grandmas beautiful outer features,
But she's still beautiful to me
Her heart is full of gold, and her son is my father who went through this 2 years ago.
Will I get cancer as well? If so I'm not wanting to live through the pain that they went through.
Why does such a disease exist with "no cure"?
Why can't we figure out why it's not curable?
Why is it so expensive to just live a little bit longer?
Can life ever get easier? It doesn't seem so with the thoughts of negativity boggling my mind daily with how my family is being sick.
Maybe the world will soon disappear and we won't have to worry about that anymore...
