We arrive at the airport and take an Uber back home while Adym texts my nieces and nephews that we're gonna pick up Pablo tomorrow. The whole way home I was dreading talking to Adym. Ever since we left Sac it really started to hit me how soon I could be leaving for tour which means I'll need to talk to Adym about it soon. As we ride home in silence Adym rests his hand on my thigh as he looks out the window.
Once we're home we get our things out and head into the house. Immediately I leave Adym downstairs and head for our room. Honestly I don't even know how to bring up to Adym since the last time wasn't a very good experience. Don't get me wrong I had a lot of fun meeting supporters but it just got awkward you know?
"Where are you going?" Adym asks
"To our room." I reply
"What about dinner?" He questions
"It's just take out. Nothing big. Imma shower." I answer.
"Okay..." he mumbles
"I love you.." I add
"I love you too" he smiles
After my shower
I get out of the shower and put lotion on before brushing my hair and washing my face. Once I'm done I grab my phone and walk out of the bedroom. Adym looks up at me with a serious look on his face,
"Hey.. can we talk?"
I need to tell him about tour. It starts in two days..
"Yeah" I walk over to the couch, "I actually-"
"I love you" he gives me a small smile, "I really wanna talk about this."
"Okay.." I reply
"You know I love you baby and I love spending time with you. You know, taking pictures and just making memories with you. That makes me so happy. I hope you feel the same way.." he smiles
"You make me happy too.." I smile
"Okay well I was talking to my manager and we were talking about my social media accounts and what works and what doesn't.. and he came to the conclusion, after my team did tons of research and studies, that um.. the pictures we post together.. they Ugh- They're the reason I lose followers and subscribers.. and likes.. and you know.. views-"
"So basically I'm the reason you're losing clout? So- So what am I supposed to do just not post pictures of us?" I cross my arms
"Baby wait listen" he continues, "I love you baby but this is how I make money-"
"So I'm in the way of how you make money?!" I narrow my eyes, "Right because money is everything Adym-"
"No babe hold up" he interrupts, "Its just.. my manager suggested that maybe we just stop posting pictures of each other and you know.. stop appearing in each other's videos? I was thinking maybe we can tell them we broke up or something? I haven't really figured it all out yet but I-"
"You're fucking kidding right?" I mutter
"Baby- babe- babygirl, come on just think about it.. both our views would go up and we'd make more money so we can afford more things in life and our relationship- now our relationship is more personal you know? It's not like everyone's watching us, it's like we're just another lowkey couple." He tries to explain
"Adym I don't give a fuck about the clout. I never did and I never will. I don't give a fuck about the money. I don't give a fuck if I'm barely making ends meet or not because if I got you then I'm fucking happy. I'm content. Adym I'm sorry but look around you, look what we got. You're telling me you aren't happy? With the views and shit you got you can get Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. and You're telling me that isn't enough?! So am I not enough too?!" I exclaim
"No baby you're perfect it's just-"
"You want more" I interrupt, "You want more Adym Yorba. You wanna be somebody famous. I get that's your goal but Adym I love you either way and the way you're talking makes me feel like I'm not enough. I'm not gonna sit around like that shit doesn't hurt when it does-"
"No I'm not tryna hurt you" He says calmly
"Adym you're talking like you can replace everything around here with something better and you literally make me feel like I'm another item that can be replaced." I sigh
"I feel like you're not tryna grow though. I'm tryna get bigger and make money but I feel like you're not you know?" He says with a cocky look on his face
"Are you fucking kidding me?" I mutter, "Sorry money isn't everything to me Adym. What's up? Why're you acting like this?"
"Im being myself" he says, "Im just doing this for the money baby, for us, it's all gonna be worth it later. I promise.."
"Don't call me baby" I stand up and begin walking off
"Where are you going?" He asks
"Look Adym if you wanna fucking act like we're not a couple and tell the world we're not a thing so you can get 1 or 2 more followers and views then what's the sense in acting it? We might as well just not be a couple!!" I exclaim
"No baby stop it's literally just a few pictures and videos. Don't be mad-" he reaches for my arm
"Don't touch me" I pull my arm away, "I'm gonna go pack."
"Babygirl-"
"SAVE IT YORBA" I yell and stomp upstairs, "If this-if this is how you're gonna be then maybe this isn't gonna work."
As I enter our room I feel tears forming in my eyes.
