LOGAN'S POV
"What time is the meeting set for?" I ask, handing the sketchbook to Jacob, my assistant, as he followed after me into the elevator
"By 3 on Thursday. Final plans for the launch are to be made then" he says, pressing the button for the last floor where my office is situate and I nod
"I have arranged a meeting with section B's design team for 12 today. They're to submit their proposal for the winter collection" he informs, his fingers now moving on his pad as he got me up to date with my schedule clearly displayed on its screen
"By 2 today, you have lunch with the directors of MODE. You'll be discussing their already proposed plans for a collaboration and by 5, you'll be attending the get together of the CEO of BELLE. It's his daughter's 23rd birthday and he has personally sent you an invitation" he says and I turn to him
"Do I have to go?"
"I'm afraid so" there's a small smile on his lips "I hear your parents are invited too"
"More reasons for me not to go"
"BELLE has worked well with us Miss Donahue, your absence would disappoint him" he says and I sigh
"By 5?"
"By 5. I'll make sure you're home before then to get ready" he says and I nod
"You'll be coming?" I ask even though I know the answer already
"Of course. I'm your date for as many events as there come as long as you have no one else in mind" he says and I nod, satisfied
It would be bearable as long as he is there.
Maybe it's because he's been by my side for long years or maybe it's his charming personality, but I don't want to jump off a building whenever he's standing by me.
Momentarily I think about inviting the woman that had recently wormed her way into my heart but quickly dismiss the thought.
This is a part of my life I'd rather keep away from her.
Keep her from.
Rather than the Logan Donahue the rest of the world knew, I wanted her to get to know a better me.
Rather than the founder of one of the most thriving fashion lines in the world, I was content with her knowing me as just me.
Content with her being with me for just me. Not cause of opportunities or favours or material things as it usually is with the rest of the world but because she likes plain, ordinary me.
Plain, ordinary Logan.
