STAR'S POV
I step out of the shower with a content sigh, putting on one of the clean robes and tying it before stepping out of the bathroom
"Logan?" I call when I don't see her in the room
"Hm?" I hear the wordless reply from the attached balcony and head there
"You really need to stop drinking so much" I say, coming to stand next to her by the rail and she turns to look at me
"Why?" She asks
"Cause it hurts the next day and alcohol is not the best liquid for the body" I say
"Okay" she says and still goes ahead to down the remaining content of her glass
"You never listen to me" I say with a shake of my head
"And you listen to me?" She asks and I turn my body to face her
"I do"
"Alright, go away. I want to be here alone" she says and I frown
"No" I say and she tsks
"You listen so well" she mocks
"I'll listen to something else that is not me going away. I want to stay with you" I say
"Yeah?"
"Yeah" I say "So I'm not going to go away even if you say it a million times"
"I know" she says with a small chuckle, setting her glass on the tall stool that sat the bottle of wine she was drinking from.
"Tell me about you" I say
"What do you want to know?" She asks and I smile at the fact that she's not objecting to the giving of information
"Birthday?"
"30th day of August"
"Do you have siblings?"
"None that I like" she says
"You don't like your siblings?" I ask with the raise of a brow
"They're not likeable" she says only and I nod
"Alright then. How many are they?"
"Three"
"Are you the first?"
"Third child" she says
"You seem like a first born" I say
"What do first borns seem like?" She asks and I shrug
"I don't know, you just give me that kind of vibe" I say and she nods "I don't have siblings" I inform
"I know"
"You do?"
"You didn't think I let you live with me without doing a background check on you, did you?" She asks
"You did a background check on me?" My surprise is unhidden
"It's usually not written on the face whether one is a criminal, psychopath or not, of course I did" she says
Even though I'm kind of surprised, it makes sense that she'd do so.
Any reasonable person would do so.
"Okay so what else do you know about me?" I ask
"Your previous address, places you've worked, I know you have no criminal record which is very good, I know you have a grandmother in another state, she's currently your only family, yes?"
"Wow, you really did your research"
"I don't like to take risks with strangers who I have to share a house with" she shrugs and I nod
"I see. Alright, since you seem to have enough information on me, we can focus on you"
"What part?" She asks, moving closer to me and I clear my throat at her suggestive tone
"Are you going to make a move on me every time you get tipsy/ drunk?" I ask
"I can do it sober too" she says with that stupid smile that sets my heart racing "You don't get any less attractive then" she says and I take a breath as her body presses to mine
"You think I'm attractive?"
"Gorgeous" she answers without hesitation and I feel intense coyness seep into me at her words
Okay okay, pause
I'm missing the whole point. I should be stopping this, not blushing over the fact that she thinks I'm attractive.
But she does, she thinks I'm gorgeous.
Okay, focus.
"I don't think you should be making moves on me like this. Shouldn't we maintain the boundaries of our..." I trail off with a breath as she leans her forehead against mine, her hand settling on my waist as her body presses against mine
"What boundaries?" She asks quietly, the thumb of her free hand trailing gently over my bottom lip and I'm pretty sure, a waterfall just settled between my legs
God, what this woman does to me is insane.
"W...what?"
"What boundaries should we maintain?" She asks again, a smile pulling at her lips
Honestly I'm not even sure I remember what the hell I was talking about before.
"Um...right...um... boundaries of..." I trail off, unable to stop the quiet sigh that leaves my lips as her lips gently brush the skin of my neck
"I'm listening"
Okay that's unfair, how can I possibly speak when she's purposely turning off my brain?
"Do you want to play a game with me?" She whispers against my ear
"A...a game?"
That can't end well.
