It was 9pm, when Louis heard his phone ringing from the bedroom. — he was currently in the kitchen making himself something quick to eat before watching some tv in your shared bedroom.
He rushed down the hallway, and quickly grabbed his phone "H-hello?" He stuttered before breathing out. "Hey baby.." you softly say with a sniffle. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?" Louis replies as he walks back into the kitchen.
"I'm in hospital about to have surgery" you cry, which makes Louis stop everything he was doing. "W-what do you mean?" "What I mean is, is that my appendix burst and now I'm about to be wheeled into theatre to have it removed" you reply.
"Aw darling, it's alright, I'll be down as soon as I can" Louis sweetly says, "ok good, I just really want you here right now... I'm really scared" you shakily reply. "Don't be scared sweetheart, you're being looked after really well, I'll down in a bit" Louis says before ending the call.
Once he ends the call, he grabs whatever food he made and quickly eats it before rushing into your shared bedroom. He puts on a jacket, before grabbing his wallet and phone and then exiting the house.
It only takes Louis 10 minutes to get to the hospital — he was driving pretty fast, but to be honest... the roads weren't congested with traffic. Once Louis parks his car, he practically runs through the entrance of the hospital.
He goes to reception and speaks to the blonde-haired women behind the desk. "Hi, how may I help you this evening?" She asks, as she looks at Louis with her hazel-blue eyes. "Yeah um, my girlfriend texted me earlier to say she was having her appendix removed, do you know what floor she would be on.."
"Let me see, what's her name and date of birth?" She questions, as she types onto her computer. "Y/N Y/L/N, and she was born on Y/D.O.B" Louis nervously replies, as he bites his nails. "Yep, she's on our system, and she's currently in the OR still but is scheduled to be in recovery by 10pm." "That's good news, but what floor is she on?" "Floor 7"
"Thanks" Louis replies, before running to where the elevators are. Once he's onto floor 7, he speaks to another receptionist who tells him to wait in the waiting room. By 10:05pm, a doctor tells Louis, that you're in recovery now.
He nervously walks to where you are, and nearly breaks down in tears looking at you. He's not only worried-sick, but he's also glad that your appendix was removed. "Hi, sweetheart" Louis sweetly says as he kisses your forehead.
"Hi..." you mumble, before breaking down. "Don't cry darling, I'm right here" Louis reassures before pressing kisses all over your head. "I was... so scared" "I know sweetheart, but its over now, you'll get better" Louis replies as he breathes out.
A few hours later, you're moved into a singular room and spend the night in hospital. The next morning you're discharged around 11am, and told to take it easy. "You hungry darling?" Louis questions, as he drives out of the hospitals car-park. "Starving..." you reply before lightly chuckling.
"What do you want to eat?" "Take-away pizza, I've been craving it since last night" you reply before looking over at him. "Sounds good sweetheart" Louis replies before driving off to the pizza place and then back home with you.
