"Evan? What are you doing here?"

I look up to see Scott staring at me from the doorway. We had just got home from the hell motel a few hours ago, and I wanted to check on Scott. I ended up climbing up the side of the house and sneaking through his window thanks to my newly, mostly controlled powers.

"Relaxing in your comfy ass bed." I said leaning back into the pillows even more. "Do you know how hard it is it get in through you window considering your bed is right under it?"

Scott closes the bedroom door before sitting at his desk. "It wouldn't be that hard if you walked through the front door like a normal person."

"Scotty, I think we both know I'm not normal." I chuckle. I close my hand. When it opens again, a small white flower is sitting in the palm of my hand. I take the flower and toss it at him, watching as it landed at his feet.

Scott picks up the flower before standing up. He walks over towards the bed, laying down and stretching out similar to myself. "You think you're good, huh?"

"I'm not good, I'm great." I say making Scott laugh. "Anyway, to answer your question from earlier. I came by to check on you."

"Evan, I told you I was fine." Scott said while playing with the flower.

"I know. Doesn't mean that I'm still not gonna check on you. You scared the hell out of me. Not once, not twice, but three times." I tell him.

"Three?" Scott looked at me.

I nodded. "You came into my room while I was taking a shower."

"Oh God." Scott said. I laughed at the blush creeping up his neck. "Did I do anything?"

I decide to have a little fun. "What didn't you do?"

Scott's head whipped to look at me. His eyes were wide and his mouth was slightly open. I can't help but burst out laughing at his face. "Relax Scotty. Nothing happened."

Scott let out a breath before calling me a 'jerk' and making me laugh even more. He relaxed once again next to me. We were both quiet for a while before I spoke up again.

"Can I ask you a question?" I ask.

"If it's anything embarrassing, no." Scott said making me chuckle.

"No, it's not embarrassing." I said before letting out a deep breath. "Did you mean what you said last night? About you being nothing?"

"I don't know." He says sitting up. "Sometimes I can't help but think that how I was nothing before that bite. I wouldn't have been on first line. I wouldn't have gotten popular and invited to parties."

I sit up as well. "You weren't nothing then are you aren't nothing now. You mean a lot to everyone around you, especially me. You're the light in this dark mess of the supernatural. We all probably be dead if it wasn't for you."

I watch as he looks down at his lap, not responding. I decide this is the time to tell him everything. "I left Beacon Hills to go to New York to get away from everything. I was starting to hate the person I was becoming. Some little teenager with uncontrollable powers and anger issues. While I was there, I thought I was getting over my feeling for you. Looking back on it now, I wasn't forgetting, I was accepting. I accepted what I feel for you won't ever go away. Scott, you mean everything to me. Watching you nearly die twice made me feel like I was dying with you. I would go insane if something like that happened to you again."

I feel a shock go though me as a pair of lips press to mine. I immediately kiss back, wrapping my arms around Scott's neck. I feel his arms wrap around my waist before pulling me onto his lap making me smile. He pulls away and places his head on mine. "I felt like I've waited a lifetime for that. Your relentless flirting nearly killed me."

"Your cuteness nearly killed me so we're even." I laugh. I pouted my lips at him. "Are we done talking for now? I really want you to kiss me again."

I let out a small gasp as my back hits the mattress. I look to see Scott smiling down at me. "My pleasure."

I walked alongside Scott into the ER. Scott wanted to bring his mom some dinner. He asked if I wanted to join him, and I said yes. It's not like I have anything better to do. I look around seeing so many people packed in the ER. Everyone was bloody and in pain. I guess there was an accident.

Melissa let out a smile as we walked up to her. "Oh, thank God. I'm starving." Melissa turned and set her food on the counter. She turned back to us. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thank you two angels for bringing me dinner."

"Is everything okay?" Scott asked as we looked around the packed ER.

"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay." Melissa said to us.

I look at her. "Not answering pages? What does that mean?"

"It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here." Melissa explained.

A woman walked up to us. "Miss."

Melissa turned to look at her. "Yes?"

"Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?" The woman begged. She was clinging onto her arm. I felt bad. You could tell how much pain she was in.

Melissa brought her over to a bench. "Okay, I'm sorry. I know. But, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors. Okay?"

The woman nodded. "Yeah."

"Okay. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?" Melissa asked the from desk.

"Ten minutes." She responded while on the phone.

I felt Scott grab my hand. He brought me over to the woman that was in pain. I sat down next to him while he sat next to her. "Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain."

She nodded her head. Scott looked around before grabbing her hand. I watched as the veins in his hands turned black as he took some of the woman's pain. A look of relief washed over her face as she looked at him gratefully.

"Someone... Someone help me!" A scream erupted through the already loud ER. I look at the entrance of the ER to see Ethan holding up a sick Danny. "Oh, I need help!"

Scott, Melissa, and I rush over to them. Scott helps Ethan drag Danny over to one of the chairs. Melissa grabs a stethoscope and holds it to Danny chest.

"What did you do to him?" Scott looked at Ethan.

Ethan looked at us a little freaked out. "Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it... it just kept getting worse."

"This is not good. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?" Melissa yelled. The woman at the front desk just shrugged. "His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax."

All of us jump back as Danny vomits. I cringe and look away.

"Mistletoe." Ethan said making Scott and I look at him.

Melissa and another nurse places Danny on a stretcher. We all follow them into the back. "Can you three please go back to the waiting room?"

None of us listened. Ethan looked around. "Where are the nurses and the doctors? Where is everyone?"

Melissa looked up. "It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients."

"Okay, well, mom, how can we help?" Scott asked. I looked down at Danny. He was moving all over the place while gasping for air.

Melissa shook her head. "Honey, you can't. His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity, so..."

"He's not gonna die, is he?" I ask her. All three of us look at her for an answer.

"No. No, he's not." She told us. "Scott, you grab the tape. You grab those scissors and cut his shirt open. Okay."

Scott grabs the tape while Melissa pulls out a huge needle out of the drawer. Ethan grabs Danny's shirt and rips it open.

"Mom, he's not breathing." Scott freaks out as Danny starts gasping more.

Melissa looks up. "I know, I know. Okay."

She feels around for the right spot on his chest. The three of us wait anxiously as she slams the needle into his chest. She pulls the syringe on the end of the needle before taking it out of his skin. His struggling stopped as he looked like he could breath again. We all looked at him waiting for some sort of reaction.

Danny opened his eyes and looked at Melissa. "Thank you."

"No problem." She told him. She looked up to see all of us looking at her with smile on our faces. She just saved Danny's life. "What?"

"That was awesome." Scott told her.

"It was no problem, you know? I mean, it wasn't a big deal." She said but her face said other wise. She had a huge smile on her face. I looked up at Scott to see him smiling at his mom. He looked so proud of her.

I followed Scott out of the hospital. He handed me his extra helmet as he went to grab his. We were about to put the helmets on when we heard footsteps behind us.

Ethan walked around the side of the bike and looked at us. "I know you're not gonna believe me, but I didn't do anything."

"The minute you two pricks got here, you went right for Danny, and your brother went for Lydia." I glare at him.

"We're not gonna hurt him." Ethan told us.

Scott glared at him as well. "Why should we believe you?"

"Because we knew one of them was gonna a be important to you, and now we know it's Lydia." Ethan told us.

I looked up at Scott when he didn't respond. He's looking at something behind Ethan. I follow his gaze to see a silver car making it's way down the parking lot. It was swerving really bad. The three of us jump as the car slams into a parked one. We all run towards the car. Scott opens the door to reveal that there is no one in the car.

I look to see a look of confusion on Scott's face. He bends down and picks something up off of the seat. "What is it?"

He lifts the object up so we could all see it. In his hands was a moth.

"Hang on, hang on." My dad stopped Scott. "They were both in the car?"

"No, dad, they're trying to tell you that it was two separate kidnappings, okay? Two doctors, both gone." Stiles explained.

My dad pointed at the car. "So whose car is this?"

"Dr. Hilyard, the on-call doctor." Melissa said. "The E.R. attending is the one that never made it in."

"Let me just focus on getting your story first, all right?" My dad said to Melissa.

Melissa agreed. "Yeah."

Dad looked at the three of us. "Kids, give us a second."

We walked away from the two of them. I looked at Stiles. "So these are the sacrifices you've been talking about, right?"

Stiles nodded. "Yeah, it's the one Deaton talked about. Healers."

"What about Danny?" Scott asked. "He threw up mistletoe. That's not a coincidence, and if he hadn't been with Ethan, he probably would've died. Danny's not a healer."

I see Stiles behind Scott and I. I turn to see my dad on the phone. Stiles pointed to our dad. "Can you hear that?"

Scott turned around and started listening to the phone call. He turned back to us. "They found a body."

As soon as I had walked out of class, I felt a hand grab me making me jump. I look to see Stiles standing there. He continued to have a hold on my hand as he dragged me down the hallway.

"Okay. Jackass let me go." I say struggling against his grip. "I can walk on my own."

He let me go. I continued to follow him out of the school and towards the jeep. As I got in, I looked at my brother. "Not that I don't mind skipping school, but where are we going?"

"Scott got a call in class from Deaton." Stiles says starting the jeep and exiting the parking lot. "Deaton told him he was going to be taken, so we're going to the animal clinic."

I look at him shocked. "We were to worried about it being a doctor that we didn't even think about him. Do you think we can save him before it's too late?"

"I hope so." Stiles said as we pulled into the clinic. The two of us got out and walked into the clinic. Scott was leaning against the counter watching as the police department search the place for any clues.

I placed my hand on Scott's shoulder as Stiles and I walked up to him. None of us said anything as our dad walked up to us.

"All right, we're doing everything we can. Right now, the best thing you can do is go back to school." He told us. After he walked away, Scott nodded his head towards the room where the keep the cats. The three of us walk in there.

Scott looks between the two of us. "We have to tell him."

"You mean, like, tell him, tell him, or tell him something else that isn't telling him what I think you want to tell him?" Stiles looked at him crazy. I'm sure I was wearing the same look. How am I supposed to protect him if he finds out?

"You know what I mean." Scott said.

"You want to tell him about the supernatural? Are you out of your mind?" I ask. "Do you not remember how your mom reacted? She didn't look you in the eye for, like, a week."

Scott looked at me. "And she got over it, and... and it actually made us closer."

"I don't know, dude. I mean, look at him. Come on, he's completely overwhelmed as it is." Stiles says. I look back out the window at my father. He looked so defeated because he couldn't figure anything out.

"He's overwhelmed because he has no clue what's happening. He's got people dying in his town, the town that he's supposed to protect, and it's not his fault that he doesn't know what's happening. He's gonna find out sooner or later." Scott told us.

"Yeah, but is now really the right time?" Stiles asked.

"What if not telling him now gets someone else killed?" Scott asked back.

"What if telling him gets him killed, Scott? We..." I motioned between Stiles and I. "We made a promise to keep him out of this to protect him? I'm not letting him throw himself in danger like that."

Stiles agreed with me. "I mean, okay, look, I get that Deaton's been like a father to you. I get that, okay? But this is m... Scott, this is our actual father. I can't... I can't lose both of my parents, all right? Not both of them."

Scott sighed. "You're right."

I looked up at Stiles. I groan. "No, we're not. We'll tell him."

"I'll help you." Scott told us. Stiles and I followed him back into the main part of the clinic. I walk up next to Scott when I hear a familiar female voice.

Ms. Morrell was talking to my father. "Please, whatever you need, however you can help find my brother. "

Sheriff nodded. "Will you excuse us for a moment?"

Ms. Morrell noticed us and starting walking towards us. "Okay, listen closely, the three of you. No sheriff, deputy, or Detective is going to be able to find him."

"You don't have to ask us for help." Scott told her.

Ms Morrell looked at him. "Actually, I'm trying to help you, because, if you're going to find my brother, then you need to use the one person who might actually have an ability to seek out the supernatural."

Stiles looked at us. "Lydia."

As soon as Stiles and I walked into the school, the fire alarm went off. The hallway began to get crowded as students evacuate the school.

"Where oh where could Lydia be?" I ask as we walk down the hallway. She's not with Aiden considering he just walked past us.

The two of us started to walk down the hallway. I heard female voices coming from the boys locker room. I stepped in to see Coach's office door open. Both Lydia and Cora were inside. Cora had Lydia's wrist in her hand.

"Let go." Lydia said. I felt my hands close in anger. "I said-"

"She said let go." I growl. I open my hand to reveal a small fire ball. I launch it at Cora. She ducked in order to avoid it, but she let go of Lydia's wrist which was my goal.

She growled at me. Stiles took a step back when she started to walk towards us. I let out a smirk when she stopped. She placed her hand up and touched the little wind barrier I had put up. "You're really starting to piss me off."

"Honey, I'm a Stilinski. It's my job to piss people off." I said walking forward. I grabbed Lydia's arm. "We need you."

Stiles led us to an empty chemistry classroom. I felt my eyes roll as Stiles placed a ouija board in front of Lydia and I. Lydia and I were sitting next to each other while Stiles and Cora sat off to the side. "A ouija board? Are you serious?"

"Also called a spirit board, and it's worth a shot." Stiles said.

"A shot in the dark." Lydia said making me chuckle.

"Could you just try it, please, okay? Let's not forget who this is for... Scott's boss, the guy who has saved our collective asses on more than one occasion." Stiles said. Lydia nodded before placing her hand on the board. Stiles looked at Cora and I.

Cora looked shocked. "Oh, wait, should we all do this?"

"Yeah." Stiles said. I let out an inward groan as Cora and I placed out hand on it as well. "You guys ready?"

Lydia nodded. "Yeah."

"Yes." Cora agreed.

"Let's get this started." I tell Stiles.

"Where's Dr. Deaton?" Stiles asked. I look down at the board to see the piece not move an inch. I look back at Stiles to see him looking at Lydia.

Lydia looked back at Stiles. "What?"

"Aren't you gonna answer it?" Stiles asked making me scoff. He's such an idiot sometimes I swear.

Lydia shrugged. "Oh, I don't know the answer. I thought we were asking some sort of spirit."

"Well, do you know any spirits?" Cora asked making Lydia and I look at her weird.

Lydia looked at me. "Is she for real?"

"I mean she's Derek's sister. What did you expect?" I shrug. I smile when I see Cora glare at me for the second time today.

"Okay." Stiles said getting us back on topic. He grabbed some keys out of his pocket. "These are Deaton's keys for the clinic. Close you're eyes, and I'm gonna put 'em in your hand, and then we're just gonna try and see if you can feel out for his location. It's called psychometry."

Lydia rolled her eyes. "I'm not a psychic."

"You're something!" Stiles raised his voice before calming down again. "Okay? Just, Lydia, put out your hand, and..."

When Stiles placed the keys in Lydia's hands, she flinched. She also let out a small 'hmm' making Stiles look at her. "What?"

"They're cold." Lydia shrugged. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh at Stiles face.

"Lydia, concentrate, please?" Stiles told her. "Trying to save lives here, for the love of God. Yeah, what is it? What do you see?"

Lydia looked up. "Nothing."

"Do you have any other plans genius?" I tilt my head at my brother.

"As a matter a fact, I do." Stiles pulled out a notebook and pencil from his bag and handed it to Lydia. "Automatic writing."

"Automatic writing?" Lydia asked. She picked up the pencil and started drawing a tree.

"Lydia, what are you doing?" Stiles asked when he realized she wasn't writing words. "What... what the hell is that?"

"What does it look like Stilinski? It's a tree." I roll my eyes. "A nice one too. I didn't know you could draw."

"I can draw a little bit. Not as good as you though." She shrugged.

"Can we please get back on track? Lydia, you're supposed to be writing words, like in sentences, something like a location, something that would tell us where he is." Stiles said.

Lydia continued to draw her tree. "Well, maybe you should've said that."

"Isn't she supposed to be some kind of genius?" Cora spoke up.

Lydia looked at her clearly unamused. "Genius? Yes. Psychic, no. Honestly, I don't know why you're even bothering with me anyway. I mean, especially since it's obvious you should be talking to Danny."

The three of us looked at her. Danny?

"Why Danny?" I ask. "He's in the hospital."

"Because..." A voice said. I look up to see Scott walking towards us, holding his shoulder. "Last night, he was a target. But it wasn't a sacrifice."

×××

"Okay, so, what does this kid's homework have to do with finding Deaton?" Cora asked as we placed all of the papers on the clinic table.

Stiles snuck into Danny's hospital room and took some research paper that he was working on. It was about telluric currents. Scott went over to Allison's so she could show him that her dad has been tracking everything. The sacrifices and where the bodies we're found.

"Because it's not just homework, okay? It's a project on geomagnetic fields. They flow through the earth. They can even be affected by lunar phases, all right?" Stiles explained. "Now, look at this. This is a note from Harris on Danny's proposal."

Lydia leaned over to read the note. "I strongly advise you to choose another subject. The ideas here, while innovative and thoughtful, border on pseudo-science. Not suitable for class."

"Harris wasn't just a sacrifice. He knew something." Scott said.

"Now, check this out." Stiles said pointing at the map. "Allison's dad wasn't the only one with a map, all right? Danny had one too. Danny marked all the telluric currents, okay? Now, the weird thing about beacon hills is that it actually is a beacon. You wouldn't believe how much energy flowing through the earth is around this town."

As I looked at the two maps, I can't help but notice that they're exactly the same. "Wait a minute. They match." I point to the symbols. "Okay, so there's two places, right? Where they're kidnapped, and then the place where their body was found."

"Look, that's right on the telluric current." Lydia pointed out.

"So, maybe where he was sacrificed is somewhere in between." Scott suggested.

"Let me see that." Stiles grabbed the map. "You said there's six more bodies to be found. Deaton's one of them. Got to be somewhere in between, right?"

Cora spoke from next to me. "Stop. He's in the vault. He's in the same vault."

Stiles and Scott started rushing to go save Deaton when Lydia stopped them. "Guys, hold on."

"Lydia, we don't have time." Stiles said.

I look over to Cora to see a panic look on her face. "What's wrong?"

"It's Boyd. The plan didn't work. They cut the power." Cora answered.

"Go. I can save Deaton myself." Scott said to us.

"What? Scott, what are we supposed to do?" I ask him.

"Cora can't get there fast enough without you." Scott explained. "Go. We can save both of them."

×××

We had managed to turn to power back on for Derek, Isaac, and Boyd. I hope they manage to get out of the water and to safety. I don't want those three to get hurt. I know how much of a bitch Kali is. I mean, she has claws on both her hands and feet. It's honestly gross how she never has shoes on, werewolf or not.

As the four of us run up the stairs towards the lot, I can't help but get a bad feeling that something's wrong. Someone is hurt. If it's us or them, I don't know.

Cora and I made it to the loft first. My jaw drops at the scene. Isaac is holding our English teacher, Ms. Jennifer. In the middle of the water are Derek and Boyd. Derek is sitting on his knees looking at Boyd who is laying on the floor motionless. His chest is bloody, and I could tell his wasn't breathing. Boyd was dead.

Cora and I didn't hesitate to run in the water. Luckily electricity wasn't running through the water. Cora ran up to Boyd while I went up to Derek. The look on his face was heartbreaking.

I couldn't help myself as I bent down. Derek needs someone to lean on, and I was going to be that person. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I know how strong the bond is from alpha to beta. It's like losing a limb. And he had lost not one but two betas. I felt his arms move and wrap tightly around me.

It was completely silent in the loft that night. Nobody said a word. All that was heard was the soft cries coming from the younger Hale as she clutched Boyd for dear life.
