Chapter 39
*Sandy P.O.V.*
I and Tooth met the guardians and they were all surprised except maybe for Jack because he's expecting us somehow. We all knew of the burning of Burgess so Jack and I went to rescue. Jack made slight snow enough for the fire to be gone. The frustatrated people were calmed by me through genuinely giving them sleep and hope through their dreams outside the remains of their houses.
"Is Nefaria really can be trusted? You know. After all of this?" Jack gestured to the burnt houses.
I nodded. I know Nefaria can have a soft spot for people especially that she knew of how she was victimed by Pitch and overruled. She has no one else to turn to, not even her very own mother. Gothel for sure does not believe that Nefaria is still the child she once knew.
Jack sighed. "Fine. Let's go back. We're suppose to know the plans as well."
Just as we turned around, two black horses, nightmares, blocked our way. And a few more came to surround us completely.
Ahg. My dear cousins, eh?
Shut up, Mansnoozie. One of them scowled.
JACK FROST... Hmhmhm. Did you get my package earlier?
"Pitch. You scum, show yourself!"
"Ha!" Pitch appeared in front of us with Gothel, who now possesses the same abilities as him. "Nefaria did good on persuading you to come here." He smirked.
"What?!" Jack glared.
"Oh there's nothing to be afraid of honey. Except maybe.... your FEAR." Gothel pulled someone behind her. It was Jamie, Jack's best pal and the first ever.
"No. I thought this happens tomorrow!" Jack shouted.
"Oh please. Why wait for tomorrow when I can use this moment perfectly to destroy your head and your feelings even more?"
You lay a finger on him, you'll all be nothing but an urn for your dead body.
"Sandy! You're alive!" Jamie shouted. I half-smiled at him.
"Pitch, whatever you hate of me, let Jamie out of this!" Jack begged.
"And why would I? He was the reason you were stronger than I. Plus," Pitch looked at Sandy. "...he reincarnated Sandman. TWICE! He should be.... eliminated."
"NO!" NO!
"No? Hmm." Pitch grabbed Jamie and looked unto him. "He's of no use in the looks of me. What can he do?" Pitch smirked on the both of us. I sensed a trade. No way would Jack accept this.
"He's not yours. Jamie belongs to himself. Let him go."
Pitch laughed like we were some poor people scavenging for food. "I've got a better idea! Jack. You take Jamie, and little Rapunzel remains with me, forever. Or the other way around. I'll eliminate Jamie and Rapunzel is all yours unharmed. Sounds like it?"
Sighs. No, Jack. He's a trickster. None of those words would come true. He wants you to grow weak!
"Jack, take Rapunzel. You need her more than I. Please, Jack." Jamie cried. "I'll sacrifice if I have to."
"No, Jamie. Both you and Rapunzel should be safe."
"By five minutes, you shall give us your answer, Frost." Gothel sneered.
You little witch, you don't belong to this war.
"Rapunzel is a protector. Not only you will need her but the world too. Me, only my family does and the Guardians." Jamie explained.
"Exactly. Which is why we need you, kiddo. You are our symbol of faith. We need you. I need you." Jack cried.
"But Rapunzel needs you, Jack. She loves you. I love you too as my bestest friend in the world. Yet I am of no use but to keep believing. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE YOU, JACK, and the Guardians. Always. But there's always an end to everything. It is time for mine and for good reason."
"Tic toc, the clock is on the dock." Pitch signaled.
Jack was so frustrated. So am I. Pitch would not let go of anything for him. Jack already knew this when he once traded his staff for Baby Tooth yet his staff was broken and Baby Tooth was thrown away with him. He knows none of this will work.
"Shit! Dammit Pitch!"
Five minutes....
"Your time's up, flyboy. What's it gonna be?" Pitch's laughter echoed on the roads.
~Merida P.O.V.~
It's getting colder in here. It has to do with the evilness of Black. -___- And I'm hungry. He ain't given us food.
"Punzel, ye starvin'?" I asked.
"Yes, I am. But.." She groaned. "We can't get any food from here. Who knows foods here are poisoned."
"O' the'e's no food fow us, aye. Fow sure, Pitch has no plans of se'ving us eithe'."
Rapunzel drifted herself into the bars and I heard her stomach growled. "I can't live without food!!!" She shouted.
Suddenly, we heard a big noise from the entrance. You can say it was like.. a bomb. "Merida?! Punzel!"
Rapunzel and I were glad to hear that voice again. It's been like forever. "Hiccup! Oh Hiccup help our poor stomach!" Rapunzel cried. But seriously, I'm beginning to crack up.
Hiccup came towards us with him riding on Toothless. It lifted my spirit to see his dragon. I missed Toothless, ya know. "Where 's Gothel and Pitch?" Hiccup whisper-shouted.
"Welp, they kinda left a while ago." I said.
Hiccup came down from Toothless and came closer. So did I. Well at least, to where I can be closer to him because we are still inside this prison. He looked at me smilingly, I did the same. But later on I frowned at him. That... made him curious.
"You a'e late!" I slapped his face using my hands through the bars. Toothless cackled unaudibly..
Hiccup was of course shocked. Who wouldn't know...? "What? I-- I--- Don't you know how long we have been expecting you to show up with Punzel?" He raised his voice but not really that high. "Do you know how many days and nights I've been worried--- I mean-- I've been..." He sighed. "Let's just get you two out of here." He said then later on, his cheeks grew pink.
He let Toothless blast the bars open and... "YES FINALLY!!! Now can we go to somewhere we could eat? I'm starving!" Rapunzel crazily jumped up and down. Typical her.
I, on the other hand, faced Hiccup to where he was standing. I eyed on Rapunzel when she calmed down and petted Toothless for a short while. That's when Hiccup walked close and I was unable to watch over my sister.
"I.... I .... I missed you." He said.
Right now, I can imagine myself glowing red! Darn it, Hic! "Aye, I know you did." I smiled.
He came closer to me with his eyes still in contact with mine. I could barely breathe because he is coming way too close for my liking. Later on, I understood. I moved close to him as well and our heads trying to move inch by inch. His eyes.... they hypnotized me to something I never have done before until....
"What's taking so long in there, mates?!"

"Bunny, shut up! Just please shut up! You destroyed the whole scene here! Oh my goodness." Rapunzel threw rocks on the blasted entrance.
Hiccup and I stopped. Yes, I am hating Bunny even more now. "Let's go, Hic." I said.
"Alright."
Nefaria showed up at the entrance and greeted me and Rapunzel. "It's good to see you two free now. But I'm afraid that Jack's in trouble. I can sense Pitch in Burgess. Jack and Sandy's there."
"SANDY?" Rapunzel and I gasped. "He's alive?!"
"Uhm.. Reincarnated." Tooth said from behind. "And.. well... you missed entirely a lot of things going on outside. Especially you, Rapunzel. But thing is, I'm sorry I haven't told you sooner about being the lost princess... It really wasn't the right time."
"Oh.." Rapunzel paused. "It's fine, Tooth. I understand. Maybe? Okay whatever. We have to go to Jack now!"
"Ooooh. Som'on' mis'ed tha flyboy!"
"Shh. I've been mad on Nefaria because of that."
"Okay. Case closed. We should go." Nefaria dropped.
"AND OFF WE G--" North coughed. Well, that's the first. "g--Gooo."
We all laughed. Oh how I've missed being with them again (and of course Rapunzel).
