Cut to the lunch room as Marley is trying to hide her free lunch tickets as Jake approaches. "Too late. I saw them," Jake said. "Saw what?" Marley asked trying to play it cool. "Your free lunch tickets," Jake said as he pulled out his own tickets "Sucks being poor. Before the recession, my mom was a real estate agent. Solid middle class. Now she's the only black waitress working at the Lima Country Club, taking orders from a bunch of rich old white guys who barely tip. And it kills me, she's working extra shifts to pay for my dance lessons." "Wait you dance?" Marley asked intrigued. "Let's just keep that between us," Jake said as Marley chuckled a bit as Blaine and Brittany watch them longing to feel that way again. "Oh young love," Brittany sighed. "Do you remember when you first started dating Santana and I started dating Kurt, back before everyone was so busy and so far away. Things were so much simpler. We had so much more hope and innocence. Every day was just like Valentine's Day," Blaine sighed watching Jake and Marley who were smiling and laughing. "We're still young. Shouldn't we still be experiencing those things?" Brittany said as Blaine sighed knowing she had a point. Kitty was watching Jake and Marley from a distance, none too pleased about how close the two were getting. She had to put a stop to that but how?

Cut to Rachel and Kurt's apartment as Kurt is making lunch as Rachel walks out. "Hey. Somebody slept late," Kurt said as he turned over an egg "It's lunchtime. Do you want a Croque Madame?" "We didn't go to bed till late," Rachel said honestly. "Thank God for earplugs," Kurt said relieved "I love you both but I don't want to hear any of that." "We didn't do anything," Rachel said saddened as Kurt looked at her surprised "He didn't even talk to me, we just, like, laid there." Finn then came out of the room as Kurt looked between them awkwardly knowing they needed to talk. "I'm gonna take this down to the park and watch drug deals go down," Kurt said grabbing his plate "It's good to see you again, Finn." "You, too, little brother," Finn smiled a bit as he hugged Kurt as he left the apartment leaving Finn and Rachel to talk.

"Um, so, are you hungry? Can I make you some eggs?" Rachel said awkwardly going by the food. "Yeah. Thanks," Finn grinned as he looked around the apartment "Wow, this place is awesome." "It's not the ideal neighborhood, but at least we can sort of see Manhattan," Rachel said as Finn nodded. Rachel then took a deep breath "I can't do this, Finn. I don't understand. I don't know what's going on. Why are you here and why aren't you in your uniform?" Rachel asked. "Because I'm not in the Army," Finn said as Rachel looked confused. "But I thought you said you joined?" Rachel asked confused. "I did. I was in it for 16 days until I accidentally shot right through my thigh," Finn said as Rachel gasped horrified. "Thank God it didn't hit any bone," Rachel said shaking her head. "I got a semi-honorable discharge and since then I spent the last few months back in Lima working at Burt's Tire Shop," Finn said as Rachel looked confused as to why he never called her once he got back "I'm sorry I didn't call you, but but I was just so embarrassed. I couldn't face you seeing me as a Lima loser." "Enough of this enough lumping around. All right, so what? The Army didn't work out. Plans change. You're here now, with me, in in the greatest city in the whole world and what a better place for you and I to find you a new dream," Rachel smiled a bit. "Like what?" Finn asked confused. "Well we talked about you working on your teaching degree. I know PACE didn't work out but NYADA has an amazing teaching program. I mean, why don't you come with me to all of my classes this week, and if you love it, then you can move in here and we'll spend the whole year just finding a way for you to get in," Rachel said. "You serious?" Finn asked shocked as Rachel nodded. "I love it here, but something has always been missing," Rachel said as she wrapped her arms around Finn "I let you go once and I'm not gonna let it happen again." The two then shared a kiss making like no time had passed at all since Finn had left her all those months ago.

Cut to Brittany's house where Brittany and Santana are doing laundry together. "I mean, I'm not jealous, I just think that it's insane that all Porcelain had to do to get an internship with Vogue.com is take photos of every ridiculous outfit he's ever paired with a Cossack hat, and a see-through raincoat and then show up at an interview where he is lauded as a visionary because his jodhpurs happened to match his riding crop," Santana snarked. "Well, you know, you could follow your dream, too. Your mom gave you that money and said you could go to New York, too, if you wanted," Brittany suggested. "I like being in college," Santana shrugged "My schedule is crazy but I love being a cheerleader and I like the idea that I'm never more than a few hours away from you." Brittany smiled a bit as she yawned. "Can't you do laundry at school?" Brittany asked. "Mm-mm. My first week there, I heard a rumor that all the water in Louisville is just purified runoff from the Kentucky Derby stables," Santana said shaking her head. "Nasty," Brittany frowned. "But more importantly, I promised myself that I would only do laundry at home, that way, no matter how busy I got, I would be forced to come home every few weeks, and then I'd get to see you," Santana said as Brittany yawned once again as Santana looked at her concerned "Are you okay? I mean there had to a reason you told me I needed to come home immediately." "Yeah, sorry. I've just been really tired but it's all for a good reason," Brittany said as Santana looked at her confused "We're having a baby."

Santana's mouth hung open in shock knowing there was no possible way she could've gotten Brittany pregnant. "I know it's surprising to me too but I totally wanted to tell you in person," Brittany said as Santana shook her head. "Okay hold up, hold up. You're pregnant? How is that possible?" Santana exclaimed as Brittany told her the truth. "I'm just as confused as you are. The stork didn't build its nest or anything," Brittany frowned. "Oh that's not what I'm talking about who did you cheat on me with hmmm?" Santana said folding her arms. "I didn't," Brittany protested. "Britts. I can't get you pregnant. You had to have been with someone else," Santana said upset. "But I wasn't," Brittany frowned. "Can you please stop with the lies? Seriously I love you, but if you're not even going to have the decency to tell me who's kid you're having I can't stay with you," Santana said as Brittany frowned. "But I don't know," Brittany said honestly. "Well when you figure out who you cheated on me with, call them and let them know they're having a kid," Santana huffed as she stormed out of Brittany's house as Brittany frowned, upset by the fact that she had hurt Santana and she didn't know what to do about it.

Santana then began to perform the Alanis Morsiette hit 'You Oughta Know' to explain exactly how she felt about what went down between Brittany and whoever's child she was having. Santana was out for blood.

"I want you to know, that I am happy for you. I wish nothing but the best for you both," Santana sang glaring at Brittany as we cut to the choir room "An older version of me is he perverted like me? Would he go down on you in a theater? Does he speak eloquently and would you have his baby? I'm sure you'd make a really excellent mother. 'Cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able to make it enough for you to be open wide, no. And every time you speak his name does he know how you told me you'd hold me until you died. 'Til you died, but you're still alive. And I'm here, to remind you of the mess you left when you went away. It's not fair, to deny me of the cross I bear that you gave to me. You, you, you oughta know," Santana sang angrily towards Brittany as we cut to the auditorium where Santana finishes up the song. "'Cause the joke that you laid in the bed that was me and I'm not gonna fade as soon as you close your eyes, and you know it. And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back I hope you feel it. Well, can you feel it? And I'm here, to remind you of the mess you left when you went away.i t's not fair, to deny me of the cross I bear that you gave to me. You, you, you oughta know," Santana sang with a passion as she glared at Brittany as well as the other members of the club, figuring one of them had to have gotten Brittany pregnant. Whoever it was she was going to find out and they were going to be sorry they did that.

Brittany is seated in the choir room alone as she is trying not to cry as Sam approaches her. "I heard about you and Santana...I'm sorry," Sam sighed as Brittany shrugged clearly upset. "She's mad at me for cheating when I can't even do that," Brittany said upset. "I think she's just upset about you having a baby is all," Sam said as Brittany sighed. "I'm so stupid. I don't even know how it happened," Brittany said. "So you don't think you could be having anyone else's baby other than Santana?" Sam asked. "No...should I?" Brittany asked. "No," Sam said as Brittany layed her head on his shoulder. "I don't know what to do. I mean like I thought Santana would be happy," Brittany said. "She might just need some time. It's sort of a lot to get use to," Sam said as Brittany nodded. "Yeah I mean I totally thought I had an alien invasion going on whenever I felt movement," Brittany said as Sam chuckled a bit, happy to for once have Brittany's attention. "Well if Santana isn't going to be there for you, you know you can always count me," Sam said as Brittany smiled. "I know," Brittany said as she sat up "I just really wanted to raise our lesbian love child together. Now I guess I'll do this on my own." "You don't have to you know," Sam said. "I know. I just can't think about being in another relationship right now," Brittany said as Sam understood. "Thanks for being such a good friend," Brittany smiled hugging Sam as she then left the choir room as Sam couldn't help but feel saddened that there wasn't a chance for him and Brittany.

Cut to the hallway as Blaine is walking down as his phone rings. He sees it's Kurt and Blaine couldn't be happier. Since last week he felt his relationship with Kurt was getting strained he was hoping this conversation could change that. "Hey, stranger," Blaine grinned answering his phone. "Hey," Kurt said as a phone went off in the background "Uh Crap! Can you hold on one second?" "Sure," Blaine said as Kurt then tried to answer the call but didn't "Isabelle Wright's office. How can I help you?" Kurt said. "Um, it's me, Kurt," Blaine said awkwardly. "Oh, my God, I'm so sorry," Kurt sighed "Uh, look, I've taken over Isabelle's phones for the week, and they just won't stop ringing." "It's it's okay. If you want to call me back later, we can talk then," Blaine said coolly. "I can't. Isabelle says we have to get the column on the Web site by midnight tonight," Kurt said as Blaine sighed upset "Look, I know this is frustrating. It's frustrating for me, too, and I don't want to miss our phone dates but, you know, this-this could be a career for me." "I get that; I-I do. I really get it. It's just I really miss you. A lot, okay?" Blaine sighed "I miss talking to you and I miss hugging you and I miss messing around with you..." "Me, too," Kurt cut him off "But you're coming in two weeks, right?" "I know, but what am I supposed to do until then, just hold my breath?" Blaine asked as Kurt didn't answer getting distracted once again. "Shoot. Joan Didion's calling. She always has the best gossip," Kurt said thinking on his feet "Um, all right, I will call you or text you on a break, okay?" "Okay," Blaine said. "Okay," Kurt sighed relieved hanging up. "I love you," Blaine said but it was too late Kurt had already disconnected which was frustrating to Blaine.

"Bad phone call?" Sam asked approaching Blaine. "More like a short one," Blaine said putting his phone away "It just seems like Kurt's always too busy to make time for me." "Aww I'm sure that's not the case dude. Kurt loves you," Sam said. "I'm not so sure he does anymore," Blaine sighed as Sam looked at Blaine sympathetically. "Well if he doesn't it's his loss, dude. You're a great guy who anyone would be lucky to date," Sam said as Blaine seemed shocked to hear him say that, did this mean what he thought it meant?

Cut to Rachel and Finn at NYADA where Finn is watching Rachel in her classes. "Look at her, she's amazing. Even when she's not all dolled up. I've never seen her so alive. She's found the place where she belongs, where she thrives," Finn said in a voiceover watching Rachel smiling and acting "I just wish I could find a place for me because I definitely don't belong here. I'd never get into NYADA, and what the hell am I gonna do in New York, run a hot dog cart outside of Madison Square Garden? No way. I used to be the man of her dreams, but now we're not even in the same world." Cut back to the hall of McKinley High as Blaine once again tries to message Kurt to no avail as he and Finn fantasize about singing 'Barely Breathing' by Duncan Sheik.

As Blaine sings in the auditorium onstage he pretends Kurt is sitting in front of him, feeling more alone than he had before. Finn however is watching Rachel, feeling proud of her. Rachel kisses Finn as Finn wonders if he's good enough to be with Rachel anymore, feeling she's excelling and he's not. Cut to the choir room as Blaine is on his phone looking at photos of him and Sam spending time together in various places, this used to be how he was with Kurt, could it be he needs to move on just like Kurt did? Sam enters the choir room as Blaine made his way over to him finishing the song. "Hey Blaine I was..." Sam began as Blaine cut him off by kissing him as Sam looked stunned. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have done that," Blaine said awkwardly pulling away. "No...no it's cool. I mean it's not cool since you're kind of with Kurt but it's cool that you kissed me," Sam said honestly. "Really?" Blaine asked surprised. "Yeah," Sam smiled a bit as Blaine seemed shocked that Sam actually was okay with being with him "But you've got to figure things out with Kurt before anything could happen here." Blaine nodded knowing what Sam was asking was a fair thing to ask. "See you later dude," Sam smiled a bit as he left, leaving Blaine feeling somewhat guilty as he knows he has to see Kurt sooner rather than later.

Cut to Rachel and Kurt's apartment as Rachel, Kurt, and Finn are there. "Dude, I'm not wearing a suit for a night out on the town. I didn't even bring a suit," Finn said shaking his head. "Then you can't wear Dad jeans and a rugby shirt to Callbacks," Kurt complained. "What's Callbacks?" Finn asked confused. "This amazing bar that all the NYADA students go to, and Friday nights are the best because everybody gets up and sings, and it's where we're going tonight, and it's gonna be great," Rachel grinned. "So I have to dress up to go to a karaoke bar?" Finn said in disbelief. "Come on, Finn, we'll let you sing "Don't Stop Believin'," or something equally uplifting," Kurt begged. "I don't I don't know. I'm so out of practice, I haven't even sang in the shower since Nationals," Finn sighed as Rachel looked surprised, how bad had things gotten? There was then a knock on the door as Kurt answered. "Surprise!" Blaine grinned. "Blaine!" Kurt exclaimed all too excited. "Hi," Blaine smiled hugging Kurt tightly as the two shared a kiss. "This is amazing! But I wasn't expecting you for another two weeks," Kurt said shaking his head. "I know, I just couldn't wait any longer. I miss you too much," Blaine replied somewhat honestly. "Oh, I miss you, too. So good to see you," Kurt grinned as he and Blaine kissed as Rachel and Finn rushed over. "Wait! I can't believe you're here," Rachel grinned hugging Blaine "I missed you so much. Hi." "Hi," Blaine smiled then he noticed Finn "Oh, Finn! What are you doing here?" "I'm not really sure at the moment, but..." Finn said awkwardly. "It's fantastic we're all together here. Just like the good old days," Rachel grinned all too happy to be reunited with Finn and Blaine.

Cut to callbacks where Kurt and Blaine are sitting together as Kurt looks over at Blaine concerned. "You okay? You seem a little..." Kurt asked. "I'm-I'm great," Blaine lied "It was just a it was a rough flight. I had a middle seat because I booked the ticket so last-minute." "Well, I, for one, am glad you did," Kurt smiled taking Blaine's hand "It's our first night out in New York. We'll never forget this." Blaine couldn't help but feel even more guilty about what he came to say.

Cut to the bar where Finn and Rachel are ordering drinks. "Uh, Coke and, uh..." Finn began. "Oh, amaretto sour, please virgin," Rachel said as Finn looked surprised by Rachel's order "It's good." "Hey, Finn, Rachel," Brody smiled as he approached Finn and Rachel at the bar. "Brody, hi," Rachel smiled. "Hey, Brody, good to see you again, man," Finn smiled shaking Brody's hand. "Yeah, you too, you too. So, how's the, uh, visit been going so far?" Brody asked. "Amazing. I took him to school to get the full NYADA experience together," Rachel grinned laying her head on Finn's shoulder. "Cool," Brody nodded "Well, in that case, I hope you're singing tonight. You haven't really been to NYADA until you've sung at Callbacks." "This is what I've been trying to tell him, and I really, really want him to sing. "Give Your Heart a Break" with me, but..." Rachel began. "But I'm not a student, so..." Finn said. "Well, you're with Rachel, which makes you honorary," Brody said honestly "And I'm buddies with Pascal, the piano player." "And the song works better as a duet, so...." Rachel began. "Well, why don't you guys sing it together?" Finn suggested as Rachel seemed taken aback by the request "It's a NYADA tradition, right? And you guys are both NYADA students." "Finn...." Rachel began saying but Brody interrupted her. "Yeah. All right, let's do it," Brody grinned. "I love you. Wish me luck," Rachel smiled kissing Finn as she and Brody got onstage. "I'm so nervous. It's my Off-Off Broadway debut," Rachel said nervously. "It's all good. I got your back," Brody smiled a bit as the two began to perform a piano-driven version of Demi Lovato's 'Give Your Heart a Break'.

Finn watched Rachel onstage feeling incredibly proud of her but as she performed with Brody, Finn couldn't help but see the chemistry between them, feeling even more on the outs with Rachel. The crowd cheered as Brody and Rachel finished, celebrating their performance as they rejoined Finn, Kurt, and Blaine at the table. "Oh, my God, you guys. It's so amazing up there. You have to do your Sweeney Todd mega-medley," Rachel said to Kurt. "And risk a Page Six spread? I don't think so," Kurt said shaking his head. "Vogue.com intern sings without warming up." Not happening." "I want to sing something," Blaine said as Kurt looked surprised. "Yeah, just, uh, ask Pascal," Brody said. "Pascal," Blaine nodded as he got up. "How was I? Was I good?" Rachel asked Finn. "Yeah. Yeah!" Finn smiled a bit as their conversation was interrupted by Blaine. "Um, hi, everyone. I, um I want to sing a song that's very special to me. This is a song that I sang the first time I ever met the love of my life. Um, so, Kurt, this is for you," Blaine said emotionally as he began to play piano and sing an acoustic version of 'Teenage Dream'.

Kurt smiled at first thrilled that the song was dedicated to him but as Blaine performed, it slowly became apparent that he was singing it more as an apology than the fact that he was so in love with Kurt. Kurt had no idea what happened or why Blaine was so emotional singing it, but he knew one thing was for sure, he was going to have to talk to Blaine after the performance.

Cut to outside of callbacks as Finn, Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine are leaving as the couples are talking. "So, you and your friend sounded great together," Finn said awkwardly. "Oh, I wish you would have gotten up there and sang with me," Rachel frowned. "Yeah, I just I don't fit in here. This place is just too big. It moves too fast. People are too talented," Finn said honestly. "No. I felt that way when I first moved here," Rachel said understandingly. "Even in Ohio, I knew you were meant for this," Finn told Rachel seriously as she looked surprised. "I'm just not," Finn sighed.

"So, that was moving," Kurt said. "I guess I'm kind of wondering why that was." Blaine sighed knowing he was going to have to tell Kurt the truth "Well, you know, I, uh I really missed you." "I miss you, too. And I'm really glad that you're here. But you've been so emotional and weirdly sad. Please stop pretending that there's nothing wrong," Kurt said as Blaine took a deep breath, knowing what he had to say next was going to hurt Kurt. "I kissed someone," Blaine said as Kurt's eyes grew wide, feeling hurt and betrayed.

"So, are you sure you and that Brody guy are just friends?" Finn asked Rachel who looked hurt. "Look, I told you, everything's..." Rachel began. "Just, ple-please don't lie to me," Finn frowned as Rachel sighed. "I couldn't get in touch with you, okay? I-I you weren't answering my calls or my text messages. I didn't know where you were or even if you were okay," Rachel frowned. "So you were with him?" Finn asked sad. "I kissed him, but that's it," Rachel said as Finn sighed "Okay, and only just because you told me that you wanted me to be free." "I can't believe I even said that. I'm so stupid," Finn said shaking his head.

"It was Sebastian, wasn't it?" Kurt said in a hurt tone. "No, it it wasn't Sebastian, but it doesn't..." Blaine began "It didn't mean anything. What matters is that I was by myself. I needed you. I needed you around, and you weren't there. And I was lonely, and I'm I'm really sorry." Kurt scoffed. "You don't think that I've been lonely? You don't think that I've had temptations? But I didn't act on it because I knew what it meant," Kurt said emotionally "It meant something horrible and awful and..." "I'm so sorry, Kurt. I really am," Blaine sighed as he, Kurt, Finn, and Rachel began to perform No Doubt's 'Don't Speak' to express how truly hurt they all were.

Kurt walked away from Blaine in tears as Finn started the song. Blaine then sang watching Kurt walk away as Rachel and Kurt soon chimed in. Cut to the apartment as the former couples are going to bed, turning away from each other since they all can't help but feel incredibly hurt and alone. As the end the song they head to bed for the night, hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

The next day Finn got up early and was trying to sneak out of the apartment when Kurt turned on the light. "You can't just run away," Kurt sighed. "Dude, you totally spooked me. I thought I was the only one awake," Finn said. "Been waiting for somebody to come out," Kurt shrugged "I was hoping it'd be Blaine." "You guys okay?" Finn asked. "I kind of feel like I'm going to die," Kurt admitted as Finn began to head out "Guess I don't have to ask you what you're doing, apparently." "I'll talk to her later about it. I just got to get away for a bit," Finn said as Kurt nodded, understandingly. "Six months ago, did you ever think that things would be like this?" Finn asked as Kurt shook his head. "Sometimes, I miss high school, you know?" Kurt sighed. "Come on, give me a hug before I go," Finn smiled a bit as he and Kurt hugged. "Do you want me to say anything to Rachel?" Kurt asked. "No," Finn said shaking his head and with that he was off.

Cut to the halls of McKinley High as Marley is at her locker when Kitty slams it shut. "Hi, Boobless," Kitty smirked. "What do you want Kitty?" Marley sighed as Kitty smirked. "I'm glad you asked that. Here's the deal. Jake is dating me now, I need you to stay the hell away from him, got it?" Kitty said in a definite tone. "I'm not going to try to steal him from you if that's what you're thinking," Marley said shaking her head as Kitty couldn't help but laugh. "Oh please don't be ridiculous. Like he'd dump the head cheerio to be with the lunch lady's daughter who in few short years will bloat up to an enormous size, just like her mother," Kitty smirked as Marley frowned as Jake approached them. "What's going on?" Jake asked wrapping an arm around Kitty. "Nothing...I was just leaving," Marley sighed as she walked off as Kitty smirked satisfactorily as Jake gave her a look, knowing that something had gone down between her and Marley but unsure of what it was.

Cut to the choir room office as Finn knocks on Will's door. "Hey, buddy," Will smiled as Finn walked in. "Hi," Finn smiled back as they hugged. "You look great. Oh, it's good to see you," Will smiled. "You too. I mean I haven't been back since Glee Club auditions," Finn said honestly. "Yeah I thought you were heading out to New York to see Rachel," Will said confused. "I did and trust me, it wasn't what I was expecting," Finn said honestly as Will frowned a bit. "Well what can I help you with?" Will asked. "Actually, I was hoping I could sit in for Glee rehearsals. You know just to get an idea of my next step," Finn said as Will put his hand on Finn's shoulder. "We'd be honored to have you," Will grinned as Finn smiled back. For once it felt nice to be somewhere where he felt appreciated.

That afternoon the New Directions had a Glee Club meeting as Blaine was the first to enter. "Hey," Blaine waved awkwardly "Um, by the time I got up, you were already gone. I didn't get a chance to say good-bye." "Why'd you do that to him?" Finn asked as Blaine sighed. "I don't know. I just..." Blaine said shaking his head. "There's no excuse," Finn said. "He won't talk to me. I don't even know if we're broken up..." Blaine began as Sam entered. "Finn! Dude, what's up?" Sam grinned shaking Finn's hand. "I'm just passing through, visiting my mom and Burt, and Mr. Schue said I could come by if I wanted," Finn explained. "Finn Hudson in the house, yo!" Artie grinned hugging Finn as did Brittany. "Do you know who that is?" Jake asked Marley who shook her head. "Listen up! For all of you guys who don't know, this is Finn Hudson right here," Sam grinned introducing Finn to the new people in the club. "I thought you were in New York with Rachel," Tina smiled as she entered the choir room hugging Finn. "I was, but.." Finn began. "But things don't always work out the way you planned them to," Will said entering the choir room "And I said to Finn the same thing I say everyone who comes through this club: We're a family, and you're always welcome here. Even if you just need to take a break and think things through." Finn nodded to Will appreciatively as he took his seat. "In any case, we have a lot to do today. First order of business: Deciding what the fall musical's going to be," Will said as the New Directions cheered as Will got a list off the piano. "So I'm passing out a list of possibilities," Will said as he handed the sheets to the New Directions. "Peter Pan?" Joe said confused. "Fiorello? What the heck?" Artie said shaking his head. "Unique wants to do Hedwig," Unique grinned. "Uh, Tina wants to do Pacific Overtures, Miss Saigon, and Flower Drum Song," Tina grinned. "The challenge is picking something that plays to our collective strengths, and that won't set off a firestorm in the community like Rocky Horror did," Will said honestly. "You should do Grease," Finn suggested as Will looked intrigued. "Grease?" Will said. "I know it 'cause the song I sang the first time in Glee Club was from Grease, remember?" Finn asked. "Yeah," Will nodded. "Guys like it. Girls like it. People like my mom like it. It's about high school, and growing up, and being true to yourself. Plus, the songs rock," Finn said. "The wisdom of Solomon," Artie smiled at Finn. "All right. Grease is the word," Will smiled as the New Directions cheered. "Finn's back!" Artie smiled as Finn smiled back at him feeling like he finally found a direction to go in.

Cut to Will's apartment as Will walks over to Emma handing her an envelope. "What's that?" Emma asked. "Open it," Will smiled. "Okay," Emma smiled a bit as she opened the envelope and began to read the letter inside. "I'm officially on the blue ribbon panel to improve arts education," Will grinned. "Oh, my goodness! Oh, my goodness, Mr.Schuester goes to Washington. Oh, congratulations!" Emma grinned hugging Will tightly. "Thank you. Thank you," Will smiled as he let Emma go "And what would you say about Miss Pillsbury also going to Washington?" Emma looked stunned. "My gosh, I'd love to. For like a long weekend, or something. That would be wonderful," Emma said honestly. "No, like like for a few months," Will said as Emma gave him a look "I want you to be there with me." "What about my job?" Emma asked. "That's what a tenure's for. Your job will be waiting when you get back," Will said honestly as Emma shook her head. "This is not that I'm afraid of losing my job. This is that I like my job," Emma said as Will sighed. "Look, this isn't a permanent thing, Emma. It's like an extended vacation. A sabbatical. Teachers take them all the time," Will said. "I don't want a sabbatical," Emma said in a definite tone. "But I-I thought you were supportive of this," Will said confused. "I am, because I know how much this means to you, but this is for you. I didn't know you just expected me to drop my entire life," Emma said shaking her head. "Emma, I love you. You're my fiancé," Will said as Emma looked at him "All I'm saying is, I don't want to be alone and not be with you." "And I don't want to sit alone in some hotel room somewhere doing nothing, while you're off fulfilling your dreams," Emma shot back as Will sighed. "You know, I don't think what I'm asking is so crazy. I thought you'd be excited," Will said honestly. "So you thought I'd just pop the champagne, follow you around like an obedient little puppy dog? Is that really all you think of me, Will?" Emma asked in a hurt tone. "No, of course not, Emma," Will said shaking his head as Emma got up to leave "Oh, come on, we still need to talk about this." "We just did. You just don't like what I have to say," Emma said in a somber tone as she left the room, leaving Will to think if he should go to Washington without her.

Cut to the Vogue office as Kurt arrives at his desk which has a huge bouquet of flowers from Blaine with a note that reads 'Kurt I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. Xo xo xo - Blaine'. Kurt sighed looking at it still hurt by the fact that Blaine had kissed someone else. Kurt still had no idea who it was since Blaine wouldn't tell him but the fact that Blaine even wanted to be with someone else still hurt Kurt and he didn't know if he could forgive him, not yet anyway. "Well, someone's either seriously crushing on you, or seriously trying to make up for something," Chase, another worker at Vogue said. "The latter," Kurt sighed looking at the card. "Ouch," Chase frowned "He cute?" "The cutest," Kurt sighed. "Oh, that sucks. I'm sorry," Chase said sympathetically to Kurt who still looked down. "Hey, you need to go binge-shopping? Isabelle's summoning us to the conference room. I can cover for you," Chase suggested. "I'm okay. I'll be okay," Kurt said honestly as Chase nodded walking off as Kurt dropped Blaine's note into the trash, ready to move on himself.

Cut to the hallway of McKinley High as Jake approaches Marley at her locker. "Hey...I'm really sorry about Kitty," Jake said as Marley shook her head. "I just don't get it. I don't get why someone like you is with someone like Kitty," Marley said honestly. "What do you mean, someone like me?" Jake asked confused. "You act like you don't care what anyone thinks, but you obviously are just as desperate to fit in as everyone else if you'll date her," Marley huffed. "You don't know how it feels to really be on the outside," Jake said annoyed "The blacks kids think I'm too white; The white kids think I'm too black. Kitty's funny and hot, and yeah, a little crazy, but you know what, she likes me and when I'm next to her, no one makes fun of me for once." Kitty then approached them. "What's happening here? You coveting my man, itty-bitty?" Kitty smirked. "Kitty, come on, ease up," Jake said trying to stop her. "I heard they're opening up a new Ronald McDonald House in Lima just for you and your finger-licking, lard-loving, Gilbert-Grape-looking mama," Kitty said as Jake cut her off. "Hey! That's enough," Jake said upset. "I'm sorry, or what?" Kitty said shaking her head. "Or I'm breaking up with you," Jake said in a definite tone. "You do not want to break up with me, okay? I am like a bad Carrie Underwood song once I get going," Kitty said sassily. "Yeah, well, I'll take my chances. We're done," Jake shot as Kitty glared at Marley annoyed. "You did this," Kitty shot at Marley who looked nervous "Well, you're both gonna regret this turn of events because I will tell you one more thing." Kitty then got up in Jake's face "Obama's gonna lose." She then stormed off knocking the binder out of another student's hand as she did so. "Thank you. You didn't have to do that," Marley said thankful to Jake. "Actually, I think I did," Jake smiled a bit as Marley smiled back at him. "Hey, do you want to go through sheet music for Grease? I was thinking of auditioning for Sandy, and I think you'd be really great..." Marley began. "Actually, I have to go," Jake said honestly "But I'll see you later in Glee Club, okay?" "Okay," Marley said as she watched Jake leave, feeling more impressed with him than before.

Cut to the auditorium where Finn is standing as Rachel walks out onstage. "This is where you proposed to me," Rachel said approaching Finn "When you did, you reminded me it was where we had our first date. It's also where we first met. Do you remember that?" "Yeah, glee rehearsal," Finn smiled a bit "You, uh, you really freaked me out." "This place is kind of like our Jerusalem. All roads seem to just lead us back here," Rachel said taking a deep breath "I went to your house and to the tire shop. I should have known you would've just been here though." "I know it sounds kind of weird, but I just felt like singing up here. Seems to have helped me figure out stuff before, so..." Finn said. "Yeah, I would have just, you know, come here first, if you would have picked up your phone or answered my text messages. Instead I had to get on a plane and drive around town, looking for you, like an idiot," Rachel said annoyed as Finn sighed. "I'm sorry. I just needed time to think," Finn frowned. "You had four months," Rachel shot at Finn "I hated you for what you did to me at that train station." "I was trying to help you," Finn frowned. "I hated you," Rachel said emotionally "But then when I got to New York, I thought how much you love me and how hard that must have been for you. And I thought, this this is what a man looks like. This is how a man loves. But you not telling me where you were for four months and sneaking out before sunrise, in the middle of the night, without saying good-bye, that is not being a man, Finn." "I'm trying to give you your freedom!" Finn said annoyed. "I don't need you to give me my freedom! I am a grown woman," Rachel shot at Finn "I don't need you to hide from me, to keep me from doing what is right for me." "Like that Brody guy?" Finn shot back at Rachel. "I didn't do Brody, okay? And don't you think that I would have rather have been with you?" Rachel asked annoyed. "Well, didn't you say he was on Broadway? Right? And he's got, like, three-percent body fat. Who am I? I barely even graduated high school, and my life has absolutely no direction," Finn said as Rachel shook her head tearing up. "Don't you get it? No matter how rich or famous or successful I become, when it comes to you, I'm I'm always gonna be that moon-eyed girl who freaked you out at our first glee rehearsal," Rachel said tearfully as Finn looked stunned.

"You were the first boy who made me feel loved and sexy and visible. You are my first love. And I want, more than anything, for you to be my last. But I can't do this anymore. At least, not now. We're done," Rachel said emotionally as Finn couldn't help but feel even more lost. "Wow. What am I gonna do with my life? I don't have my girl, I don't have a job, I don't have a place in this world," Finn sighed. "You have you. And that's better than anyone else on the planet, as far as I'm concerned," Rachel said honestly as she gave Finn one last kiss goodbye, hoping to encourage him going forward. Finn then began to perform onstage the only song that felt right in the moment, 'The Scientist' by Coldplay.

As Finn performs he is joined in his vision by the other heartbroken people who have just lost their relationships in Blaine, Santana, Kurt, and Brittany who each sing lines reflecting how they felt. Will and Emma also joined in on the performance as their relationship was also on the fritz as they harmonized together. Rachel soon joined in harmonizing with Finn as the fallen couples completed the performance together, emotional as Finn got out of the fantasy wondering what in the world would be next for him now that he felt he lost everything.
