You were in your local cafe, drinking the same drink you always order while reading a book. The environment here was nice. It was quiet, the music was just at the perfect tempo.. It's just nice here.
Though despite the bright side of this cafe, there aren't that much people going. Which was good for you since there are a lot of seats that are vacant but it doesn't feel right.
While you were taking a sip from your drink, you saw a man around his 20s enter the cafe. You didn't recognize him as a frequent customer. You tilted your head, 'Why did he decide to come here?'
He started to analyze the variety of coffee written down on the menu. He went up to the counter and told the cashier what kind of coffee he wanted.
After he got his receipt, he thanked the barista and turned to the seats, which were all vacant, and his eyes landed at you.
He smiled shyly and walked over to you, who was busy reading a book while drinking coffee from time to time.
He held the chair in front of you and coughed to get your attention. You looked up a bit shocked and saw him looking down at you, still having the same shy smile.
"Uhh.. Is this seat taken?" He asked, pointing onto the chair he's holding.
You shook your head saying no. He smiled even wider and sat down on the seat in front of you making you think, 'out of all the vacant seats.. Why did he choose to sit with me- A COMPLETE STRANGER?'
Instead of continuing to read your book, you looked at the guy and studied every inch of his face. He looked like he was a foreigner..
"So.. Uhh... My name is Hong Jisoo but you can call me Joshua." He said and lent out his hand for you to shake it.
You gladly took it and replied, "The name's (Y/n)."
You two let go and you closed the book you were reading, then taking a sip from your drink.
"So.. Do you frequently go here?" He asked, looking around the place and it's aura. You nodded in reply, bringing your cup down.
"Can you recommend some good drinks? I wanna try them out." He replied, grabbing a tissue and bringing out a pen.
You nodded once more and took the pen. You started to write two of your favorite drinks in. One of them was the coffee you were drinking now.
You heard a click from the pen and gave it back to him with the tissue that had the name of your two favorite drinks.
He smiled and read the two names. He brought down the tissue and got his pen back, placing it in his pockets.
"Now.. Uhh... I'm not trying to be rude or anything but.. Can you please tell me about yourself? I just moved in and I want to have friends." He said, feeling nervous at every word.
You looked down and tried to hide your smile. He looks so adorable when he's shy omo.
You turned back to him and nodded, "Sure, why not?"

An hour has passed by and Joshua already finished his coffee. He checked the time and it read, 8:47 PM.
He pouted slightly and turned back to you. "I gotta go now.."
You also pouted at what he said, "Well, It's okay. Let's just talk some other time. It was nice meeting you." You said while smiling brightly, hiding the fact that you're sad that he's already leaving.
He stood up and bowed politely, "It was nice meeting you too (Y/n)."
You showed a small wave to him as he went to leave. But, before he did. He went to the counter and wrote something down. He gave it to the barista after and whispered something into her ear.
With a satisfied smile, he waved bye to you and left the cafe.
You wondered what was the thing he gave the barista and why. But, you still continued to drink your coffee and finishing a few more chapters of the book.
After a while, you finished your coffee and stood up, grabbing your stuff and preparing to leave.
You walked out of the door but stopped when the barista, who was given the thing Joshua wrote on earlier, called you.
You went back in and tilted your head slightly, "Yes-?"
She smiled sweetly, "That man you were with told me to give you this." She handed you a tissue. You eyed the tissue she was giving you feeling suspicious about it but you took it anyways.
You walked out the door once more and unfolded the tissue, seeing the two of your favorite drinks written there.
'It's the same tissue..' You thought as you saw another different font of handwriting below yours.
You squinted your eyes and read what was written down.

You smiled at what he wrote. Covering the blush that was slowly rising up your cheeks.
You folded the tissue neatly again and stuffed it in your pocket.
"It's a date."
