25th of December 2018

"Si, Si, wake up!" Jordan cried into my ear and I sighed gently before sitting up and grinning at my little brother who was sporting a red Christmas jumper and a pair of reindeer ears.

"Merry Christmas Jordy," I said, walking over to my wardrobe to find my green and white Christmas jumper, along with an elf hat. It is a tradition in our family that Christmas morning, we all wear our Christmas jumpers along with some sort of Christmas hat on our head.

"Can we pleaseeee go and open presents," he begged grabbing my hand and pulling me out of my room and down the stairs to the lounge room where my parents and Ashton were sitting.

"Merry Christmas," I said sitting down next to Ashton, whilst Jordan made his way to the Christmas tree, trying to find presents with his name on them.

"Merry Christmas Sienna," Ashton and my parents said in unison. We began opening presents, Jordan going absolutely ballistic, making us all smile. One of my favourite things about having a little brother is that Christmas still feels magical as he still believes in Father Christmas, making everything seem more special.

After the presents were opened, my parents began making us breakfast, when I noticed that we had no ham in the fridge.

"Mum?"

"Yes, Sienna?"

"Why do we not have any meat in the fridge?" I asked slightly confused as to what we would be eating today.

"Oh right yeah, I forgot to tell you, we are having lunch at the Hemming's today," she said as she continued to cook the bacon and eggs.

"Why?" I asked, making myself a cup of tea and sitting on the kitchen bench.

"Liz offered and I said yes," she said and I nodded as I heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it.

"Oh, hey," Luke said standing at my front door with a huge grin on his face, which I assume was about my current attire.

"Hey Luke, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to hide the fact that I was blushing because of his smile.

"I was just checking if your family wanted turkey or ham?" he asked.

"We eat both," I said, which indicated that he could leave since I was going to see him in about two hours anyway.

"Okay."

"Luke?" I said with a smile on my face, which triggered one on the boys face too.

"Yes?"

"You can go now," I laughed. This time it was his turn to blush and he nodded.

"Oh. RIght. Well, see you later Sienna," he said awkwardly. Luke Hemming's does not strike me as an awkward person, so my mind was confused as to why he was acting like one.

"See you later Luke," I said before closing the door and walking back inside, helping my parents finish breakfast whilst Ashton kept Jordan occupied. Once breakfast was finished, I headed back upstairs to get myself ready for the day, having a shower and washing my hair. I decided on simple makeup and a simple white dress and then I was ready for the day. I made my way back downstairs to where Ashton and Jordan were playing together with Jordan's new train set.

"Sienna, come play!" Jordan said and I smiled and walked over to my two brothers who were seemingly having the time of their lives.

"Remind me how old you are again Ash?" I said with a laugh to my older brother who rolled his eyes at me.

"Oi nah, leave me alone," he said with a laugh. Our parents eventually appeared downstairs, grabbing everything that we needed to bring to the Hemming's house. We made the short walk over there, a middle-aged lady who I assume is Luke's mum, answering the door for us.

"Merry Christmas!" she exclaimed opening the door for us. She was quite short, so I am unsure where Luke gets his height from then. However, her blonde hair, blue eyes and warm smile all remind me of Luke.

"You must be Sienna, I am Liz," she said giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you for having us today," I said with a smile as I followed her through the hallway, the walls lined with photos of a family of five, and many individual photos of three boys, which I assumed were Luke and his brothers.

I spotted Luke and Ashton already talking, whilst Jordan was in my father's arms. I made way over to the two older boys who were laughing about something.

"Oh, hey Sienna," Ashton said with a smile, a beer in both boys hands.

"Do you want a drink?" Luke asked and I shook my head.

"Sienna isn't allowed to drink in front of our parents," Ashton said with a laugh. I drink when I am at parties and such, but my parents would kill me if they found out that I was drinking in Year Ten. Ashton has been drinking since Year Ten and was only allowed to start drinking in front of my parents only a couple of months ago.

"I will just have a water if that is okay?" I asked and Luke nodded.

"I will get it," Ashton said and I thanked him before he walked off.

"I got you a present," Luke said and I raised my eyebrow as to why. I am not even sure Luke and I are friends yet, so I have no clue as to why he got me a present.

"Why?" I asked following him inside to the Christmas tree in the front lounge room, which was completely empty of people as everyone was outside. The tree was decorated in silver and red, matching the theme of the decorations throughout the house too. I noticed a Pandora bag that looked out of place amongst all the beautifully wrapped presents.

"Because I felt like it," Luke said picking up the Pandora bag and handing it to me.

"I didn't get you anything Luke, I can't accept this."

"Oh shut up Sienna, just open the present and tell me if you like it or not."

I nervously undid the pink bow around the bag and pulled out a small box, carefully taking the wrapping paper off to reveal a small silver ring daisy ring that fits perfectly on my right index finger.

"How did you know my ring size?" I asked admiring the ring on my finger, not even trying to hide the smile on my face.

"I asked Ashton," Luke said with a smile, as he took a step closer to me, making my heart beat faster.

"It is beautiful Luke, thank you," I said. Ten seconds after my thank you, Liz called out to us saying that lunch was ready. Luke sighed as I followed him back outside, sitting down at the table in between my Dad and Jordan, Luke and Ashton sitting across from me. I popped my cracker with Luke, both of us trading crowns as he got a white one and I got a blue one.

"You look like a princess Si!" Jordan exclaimed as I put the crown on my head, making me giggle as I put some ham on my plate.

"I agree," Luke said with a flirtatious smile, which I did not return as I was unsure if he really meant it like that. I don't understand Luke's motives with me. I mean I am his friends younger sister, which means that I should be off limits, yet Ashton is doing nothing to stop Luke from making a move on me.

"Merry Christmas everyone, let us eat!" Andrew, Luke's dad called out, interrupting from my thoughts that would consume me for the rest of the day.
