Sean's PoV
"Hoy lalake gising na!"
What the hell is happening? Why I hear somehing that's really irritating?
I got up, only to find out that the owner of that irritating voice is George's grandmother. What's her name again? Asuncion?
Well, I'm not good at memorizing names. George's only name I often remember.
"Diba ang sabi ko sayo bago tumilaok ang manok dapat gising na kayo!?"
I stopped myself from covering my ears. She might say that I don't respect her. George might be mad at me.
"Susunod po ako" even I want to sleep again.
She looked at me badly, like I did something wrong before she left.
I breathe deeply, trying to calm myself.
I just went here to be with George. Yes, there's a part of me wants her grandmothers' approval because I know that George will be happy with it at ayoko namang may hahadlang sa amin ni George when the day came she agreed to marry me.
Naabutan ko si George na nasa kusina. She's busy preparing the breakfast. I can't wait to see her cooking at our home's kitchen every morning. Not just as George but as my wife.
I badly want to kiss her and hug her right now but her grandmothers are watching my every move. I'm sure they will not let me get close to her again.
"Mabuti naman at kumpleto na kayong pito. Oh sya, sumama kayo sakin at ituturo ko ang balon. Hindi naman yun kalayuan dito"
Sumunod kami sa kanya papunta sa balon na 'di kalayuan' daw but damn! Their house is too far from this well.
"Langya, hindi daw kalayuan. Gitna na halos 'to ng gubat eh" bulong ni Zham.
I prompted them to be quiet.
She taught us the pails near the well before she left.
"Boss, kami muna" I nodded. I don't have any idea how to get water from that well.
"Pucha naman Tres, bakit mo nilaglag yung timba sa balon?!" My forehead creased.
"Ang tanga mo Liam. Malamang para umigib"
Binatukan ni Liam si Tres but I didn't interfere with them. Hinayaan ko nalang sila sa mga kalokohan nila.
I leaned over a tree and watched them doing stupid things.
"Asan ba ang utak mo? Nasa talampakan? Paano ka makakaigib kung hinulog mo yung timba mo? Anong tingin mo, kusang magkakaroon ng tubig yung timba tapos lilipad papalapit sayo? Gago! Tabi nga!" Tumabi nga si Tres.
Liam took two pails and went near to the well. He looked at the well as if he's studying it.
I sense new trouble. Siguradong gagawa din ng kalokohan ang isang 'to.
"Ay shit!" Nakatanggap ng tatlong batok si Liam mula kay Red, Zham at Tres na talagang nilakasan.
"Aray! Tangina mga pare, masakit! Close ba tayo!?"
"Gago! Ang lakas mo kong pagsabihan! Tangina ka, dalawang timba ang hinulog mong gago ka!" Sigaw ni Tres.
Napahilot nanaman ako ng sentido. I'm starting to lose my temper. Why did I have such men like this? Where did I go wrong?
"Pa-try nga" si Red naman ang kumuha ng timba at lumapit sa balon.
We waited 20 minutes to find out if Red will succeed but we only heard a curse from him.
"Fucking shit!" Dalawa pala
"Bakit? Wag mong sabihing nahulog din ang timba mo?" naiinis na tanong ni Sampson.
"Hindi! Yung bagong cellphone ko ang nahulog! Pucha talaga!" nagsisimula nanaman akong mainis sa mga ito.
"Pa-try nga" si Chris naman ang kumuha ng panibagong timba.
He stripped off his belt and tied it to the pail.
"Malapit na, aabot na" yumuko sya sa balon.
It seems that his belt is too short. Masyadong malalim ang balon. Yumuko sya ng yumuko hanggang sa
"Waaaahhh! Mahuhulog akoooo! Tulooong!" Kung hindi sya nahawakan sa paa ni Sampson, malamang ay nahulog na sya. Pilit syang hinihila ni Sampson pero ang pants ni Chris ang sunod nya nahawakan kaya ito ang nahila nya.
"Walanghiya ka Sampson! May pagnanasa ka ata saking hayop ka!" Nag-tulong tulong silang lima para hilahin si Chris mula sa balon.
At first, they had difficulty in pulling Chris but eventually they succeed.
Napahiga silang anim sa lupa dala ng pagod.
We spend too much time here, it's time to be serious.
Ako naman ang kumuha ng panibagong timba malapit sa balon and I also took a rope to use in pail. Tinali ko ang lubid sa hawakan ng timba and I'm sure it's tight enough to prevent it from falling into the well.
I slowly dropped the bucket in the well hanggang sa magkaroon ng sapat na tubig sa timba at unti-unti kong hinila ito pataas.
Nanlalaki ang mga mata ng anim kong kasama habang pinapanuod nila na inuulit ko ang ginawa ko.
Their faces were astonished and they couldn't believe in what I had done.
"Totoo ba ang nakikita ko? Marunong si boss? Bakit hindi natin naisip yan kanina?" Liam said.
"Ulol! Pano mo maiisip eh wala ka namang utak!"
"Aba gago ka ah! Anong gusto mo? Chinese garter oh? Ano? Oh kaya jackstone nalang oh"
Hinilot ko ng hinilot ang sentido ko. These guys are really irritating.
I prefer George to be here and watching over these six
"You! Are you going to help me or not?!"
Taranta silang tumayo at kumuha ng kanya-kanyang timba.
Kailangan pa talagang sigawan ang anim na 'to para sumunod ng mabilis.
Natauhan siguro ang mga tauhan ko kaya kumilos ng mabilis.
"Aba! Bakit ngayon lang kayo? Pito kayo tapos ang tagal tagal nyo? Ano kayo mga pagong!?" Alam kong gustong gusto ng takpan ng mga tauhan ko ang mga tenga nila dahil sa sermon na inabot namin pagdating namin sa bahay.
Do they think that it's easy to get water from the middle of the forest?
"Lola Cecilia naman, hindi po sila sanay umigib" from the kitchen, George went out to save our ass.
Her face and neck were sweaty but she was even more beautiful. I can spend my whole time staring at her innocent but lovely face.
"Ano? Tapos ka na bang pagpantasyahan ang apo ko?" saka lang ako bumalik sa katinuan ko.
We poured water into the drum but we didn't get enough of water to fill the drum that's why we need to go back to the middle of the forest to get more water to fill the ten drums.
We were about to go back to the well when someone grabbed my arms. I was ready to be mad and shout at the person who grabbed my arm but when I saw that it's George, I forgot that I was tired.
"Sorry ha. Ganun lang talaga ang mga lola ko" I smiled at her and I tried to show that I am very much okay with that smile.
I can do everything for her and for her happiness.
Pinunasan nya ang pawis sa buong muka ko kaya napangiti nanaman ako.
"This is the least thing that I can do. Don't hide it, Sean. Alam kong nahihirapan ka din" inipit nya ang muka ko ng mga kamay nya at dinampian nya ng isang mabilis na halik ang labi ko.
I smiled again. It seems like all my strengths returns.
I grabbed her cheeks, I gave her a quick but deep kiss.
"Yuck! Porn" I ignore them. I don't care about people or anything around me as long as George is with me.
"Gotta go wife"
Ilang beses kaming nagpabalik balik sa gitna ng gubat para umigib at mapuno ang sampung drums. It was really tiring but I know it's worth it.
Kulang nalang ay ibato namin sa sofa ang mga katawan namin ng matapos kaming umigib.
Sampung malalaking drum lang naman ang pinuno namin.
"Hey, breakfast is ready" nagtakbuhan ang mga tauhan ko sa kusina. Gutom na gutom ang mga gago.
I stayed sitting in sofa. My body is slightly hurt due to repeated lifting. I'm pretty sure my body will use to this. All I need is rest.
"Hey" tumabi sakin si George at alam kong naaawa sya sa amin. Bakit ba sobrang bait ng babaeng mahal ko?
"Hey, susunod na ko sa kusina" hindi ko na maitago ang pagod ko.
"I'm really sor-"
"Don't be sorry wife. I chose this and I'm not sorry for loving you" she sighed.
"Tumalikod ka"
"Why?"
"Just do it Sean" tumalikod na ko at baka magalit pa si misis.
"Oh!" She's giving me a massage. I don't have any idea where she learned to massage but I must say, she is really good.
"Baba, wife. That!" It feels so good.
Can someone tell me who wouldn't marry a perfect girl like this? Who wouldn't love this lovely girl? Because I will never understand them.
"You'll be a perfect wife" bigla nalang lumabas sa bibig ko yun.
"You think so?"
"I'm sure"
"And I know you'll be a perfect husband and perfect father, Sean"
"I can only be a perfect husband if you're the wife and I can only be a perfect father if you're the mother of my children" sandali syang natahimik pero patuloy pa rin sya sa pagmamasahe sa likod ko.
"Pano mo nasabi? What if it didn't work? Wag mong ipaikot sakin ang mundo mo Sean. Maraming babae sa mundo. You can be a perfect husband with someone else. I'm not pushing you but let's face the reality na walang kasiguraduhan sa mundo"
"Hindi sayo umiikot ang mundo ko George because you are my world. There are many women in this world but their quantity is wortless because my eyes can only see one girl and that's you and no one else. I don't know if I can be a perfect husband if my wife isn't you because from the very start, I'm sure that you're the only girl I want to marry someday. You and only you. Ikaw lang ang pwedeng maging asawa ko. I refused to believe that there's no certainty in this world because I'm sure that I will love you until my last breath. You and no one else"
Natigil sya sa pagmamasahe sakin.
Humarap ako sa kanya at hinaplos ang pisngi nya.
"I love you so damn much. At hindi ako mapapagod na sabihin at iparamdam sayo na mahal na mahal kita" hindi pa rin sya umimik at naiintindihan ko
I'm not a chatty person and a few words often come out from my mouth but this girl changed me.
"Tara na? Gusto ko ng matikman ang masarap mong luto"

By the way, pasukan na sa lunes kaya baka once or twice a week nalang ako makapag-update o baka hindi pa kapag busy. Last year ko na sa junior high kaya kailangang pagbutihin pero pipilitin kong mag-update.
