7 months hasn't been too rough for Jamie but very happy it's officially the offseason. They still haven't discussed names lately and have found themselves in a few magazine articles, some good, some bad. The couple did an exclusive feature in People Magainze where Jamie was finally introduced as the new woman in his life along with announcing the news that he's going to be a father. But, some articles haven't been so uplifting.
"I hate these articles," Reid sighs reading one on his iPad. The article accusing Reid of cheating on Jamie.
"Yeah same."
"You know it's obviously not true right."
"Yeah I didn't think it was true. Should I not?"
"It's not true. I spend every waking moment with you."
"I just don't know why we've suddenly become a hot news topic."
"Cause people always want to know about my life and now that we introduced you to it, I'm a hot topic and now so are you."
"Only if we had a super exciting life," she teases, taking his iPad and reading the article. It brings up Valerie and how Reid is secretly seeing her behind Jamie's back. "When's the last time you saw her?"
"When I took the DNA test."
"You know babe I'm really trusting you when you are out on the road. Don't give me a reason not to trust you."
"Wow that hurt..." he smiles. "Damn."
"I'm being serious," she hits his shoulder.
"Trust me I will never talk to that woman ever again."
"Or any women," she smiles, sliding his hand on her belly.
"Is he kicking?"
Jamie nods, placing it on the spot. "Feel him?"
"He's gonna be a punter," he winks. "What should we name him?"
"Do you like traditional or unique?"
Reid shrugs. "Unique wouldn't be too bad."
Jamie is a little quiet at first. "How about Grayson?"
Reid nods. "I like that."
"He's going to look like you."
"Then he's gonna be freaking adorable," Reid winks.
"Ehh he will be okay," Jamie teases.
"And if we have a daughter down the line she's gonna be drop dead gorgeous like her mother."
"You and our son will have to keep all the boys away from her."
"I'll be sitting outside with a shotgun, locked and loaded," Reid smirks.
"You're not allowed to do that," she shakes her head. Her phone ringing next to her. She pecks his lips before answering the phone. "Hey momma."
"Hey hun. How are you feeling?"
"Good I'm just eating some lunch, your grandson is kicking up a storm."
"Oh baby I wish I could feel. What's that hunk of your boyfriend doing?"
Jamie rolls her eyes. "He's here with me just loving my mom calling him a hunk."
"Love you mom!" Reid says close to the speaker.
"Did you hear him?" Jamie laughs.
"He's so sweet. He's a great find," Jamie says. "Just the kind of guy I'd want to get me pregnant."
"Multiple times because it's gonna happen," Reid smiles kissing her forehead and walking out, giving them some privacy.
"He's already planning," Jamie smiles.
"I hope he does. I need lots of grandbabies."
"Let's just get through one at a time mom."
"I'm expecting at least 4 maybe 5 from you since you are my only child."
"That's your fault mom. You should have had more."
"Fine three tops."
"Okay that I could do. What are you up to?"
"Nothing...your dad is out in the garage tinkering with that old car again. What are you two doing?"
"We talked briefly about names but we are just hanging around the house today. We are going to start to shop for nursery stuff soon."
"You better, you only have what? A few more months?"
"About two more months."
"Be careful, first time babies might come early," her mom warns.
Jamie hearing Reid's phone ringing as he answers it. "So when is that boy going to put a huge diamond ring on your finger?" her mom asks.
"Mom I'm not asking him that."
"Give it time. That boy is crazy about you. Are you guys gonna stay in Atlanta? I was a little surprised when you told me you were moving."
"I know. I'm not sure his contract is up so I guess we will see."
"Well let us know. If he can get signed by the Giants and move back to New York that would be perfect."
"But mom his family is here too and the Giants have to want him too but I'll tell him."
"Honey I'm sure they'll want him."
"We will see. I kinda like it here."
"Well I'll let you go, get back to that hunk of a boyfriend. Come see us soon."
"Will do mom," she smiles Reid walking back in as she hangs up. "Mom misses you more than me."
"I have that affect on people. What else did you guys talk about?"
"Just gossiped, asking about us, wanting us to move to New York."
"I do want to talk to you about that."
"About us?"
"No about my other football options besides the Falcons."
"Babe...what do you want to do?"
"Well you love your doctor in New York, you love your job, you love the city. The Giants have been after me for months."
"So it's only between the Giants and here?" Jamie asks knowing other teams have shown interest. "But you like it here and you have a good team and your family is here."
"You're right on all of that but I like it there too and their team is pretty good and your family is in New York. Anywhere I'm with you and our son is where I want to be."
"Any hospital can deliver a baby though babe and I just moved here. I'm not sure I want to move at almost 8 months pregnant or with a newborn."
"I mean I can worry about the moving. I'm sure I can get a couple guys to help me."
"I know," she bites her lip. "Do you really want to raise a baby in the city?" she asks looking at him. "You have your mind set on New York don't you?"'
"No not necessarily," he laughs. "I just wanted to consult with my girl before I made a decision."
"Babe I'm happy with whatever you think is best for you, as long as you don't move us to the middle of the country," she smiles. "When are you going to have to get back to Michelle?"
"I'll call her tomorrow."
"Why don't you just see what New York offers you but keep the options open."
"Michelle is flying in tomorrow so I think I'll meet up with her."
"A whole day at the house without you, might be nice," Jamie teases. "Or is she coming here?"
"She's coming here smartass."
"Hey watch it mister," Jamie laughs. "Remember she likes me more than you."
"This is true."
"I was thinking about starting to shop for the room but I guess I should wait till we decide where we are going?"
"We can still shop."
"No I want his room to be a perfect fit for our home and if we move it won't be."
"Fine," he laughs. "So are we naming him the moment he comes out? Whatever he looks like?"
"Whatever he looks like?" she gives him a look. "I'm not Valerie, he's going to look like you."
He smiles looking back at the TV.
