day 509 - the day my heart broke
dear journal,
those guys spilled food all over you so you ran to the bathroom. i followed you and that's when i saw, you were changing your clothes and when i walked inside, you were shirtless.
you were facing the wall and your back was covered in long lashes; some of which were still bleeding. there were scars that were inches long and one that was at least a foot, running down your back next to your spinal cord. i froze. i could physically feel my heart break at the sight. i could hear my own heartbeat accelerating dangerously and all i wanted was to run and wrap your poor yet beautiful body in my arms.
you turned around and i ran. you caught no more then a glimpse of my shoes. i hid in the locker room. i wasn't ready to see your innocent eyes scarred with fear and vulnerability, just yet. i'd be lying if i didn't admit to the few years that stained my shirt that day.
