"What gender do you think it is?"
Luke asked while doing the dishes.
Michael was seated on a stool watching Luke.
"I don't care, I'll love them either way."
"What should we call it at the moment?"
"I'm gonna call them, bear."
"Any reason?"
"Teddy bears are cuddly, and i bet they're gonna be cuddly too."
Luke turned off the faucet and sat on the stool next to Michael.
"You have tell your mom."
"I will, maybe later."
...
Michael was on the couch watching a movie.
Luke sat down next to him, putting his arm around the boy.
"You have an appointment tomorrow."
Michael groaned.
The last thing he wanted was to go back to the hospital.
"It's to check on you and the baby, love."
Michael ignored Luke, he didn't want to go.
"Michael."
He kept his gaze on the television.
"Michael, I want you to be okay."
Michael sighed, and nodded.
He started to get tired and rubbed at his eye.
"I'm going to bed."
"Goodnight."
Luke said with a hint of sadness in his voice.
He watched Michael walk through the dark hallway and eventually disappear due to the corner he turned.
"God, marriage is hard!"
Luke breathed out then continued to watch the movie.
