IVY
I woke up around 8:00 to find my mate was not in the room. I got up and decided a shower was what I needed the most. I felt like he took his scent and made it into a liquid. Then dunked me in it a million times. It was overpowering and I hate it. I go in the bathroom and check out the Jacuzzi, deciding to leave that for another day. I hop in the shower and start to wash my hair.
"Ivy? You in there?" I hear Ron's muffled voice from the other side of the door.
"No, just another side hoe in here." I yell back jokingly. Suddenly the door opens to reveal my mate. His eyes grow dark as his eyes roam my naked body. I turn my back to him and continue to wash. I hear a playful growl come from his lips.
"You know, I was in need of a shower." He growls, stripping down. He steps into the shower and traces his hand down my back. I shiver in response to his warm touch.
"Stop." I say as I step towards the corner. He gets closer and turns me around looking at my body.
"Don't hide yourself from me." He places a kiss on my neck.
"Then stop trying to get some." I growl out playfully. Pushing him away, I continue to wash.
"It was worth a shot." He shrugs, defending his case.
LATER
"Hey Luna!" A woman waves as she heads to work. I wave back and smile as I continue to follow Ron.
"Do you even understand the duties of a Luna?" A random woman asks as she appears next to me.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask confused; feeling slightly attacked.
"Well, I've trained my whole life to be Luna of this pack but you came along and ruined it. Have you even had sex yet?" She asks me.
"Back off Courtney." Ron uses his alpha tone on her. She looks at him and smiles rudely to me.
"Don't listen to her. She has been training herself." Damien says while leaning against the kitchen door frame.
"Oh Damien, I was wondering......How's your mother?" Courtney asks coldly with a fake smile. Ron looks at Damien and waves his hand, telling him to leave it.
"How's your womanhood? Able to walk properly yet?" Damien glares at her.
"How dare you!" Courtney's face grows redder and she walks of quickly. Ron bursts into laughter while Damien chuckles at her reaction.
"Damien....." I say, both him and Ron go silent.
"Yes?" He replies
"I understand that she's a bitch. But that was uncalled for. Thus making you just as much of a bitch as she is." My icy tone shocks Damien and Ron. I walk into the kitchen purposely bumping into Damien as I go.
"Bravo princess. You've got more balls than both of them." Alpha Will, a childhood friend, speaks up. A playful smirk gracing his ruggedly handsome face.
"I don't need balls to be better than them, much less you." I smile sweetly at him.
"I believe you have stunned at total of three men so far love." Ron chuckles.
"Thanks for letting me stay tonight Ron." Will speaks up.
"No problem Will. Just a little more warning next time. Is she still asleep?"
"God I hope she stays asleep. I can't deal with her right now." He replies annoyed.
"Honestly I feel bad for her." I say as I make a cup of coffee. Ron and Will both look at me confused.
"You know, cause she's stuck with you?" I say. Will's face shows instant annoyance, whilst Ron kisses my forehead, chuckling at my comment.
"Are you joking? I can't stand her. All she does is yell at me. Always reminding me of what a good mate is supposed to do." Will grunts out with evident frustration.
"Everyone has the right to correct their mate from time to time Solace." I speak softly.
"But it's not from time to time Ivy. It's all the time." A slight hint of anger laced with his words.
"What is she telling you to be like in general?" Ron speaks up, curious.
"She's practically telling me to be her knight in shining armor." His face falls slightly.
"But your not a knight in shining armor. You are Alpha Will Solace. You have a cold demeanor and hold grudges for eternity. And damn anyone who tells you your wrong. She's trying to fix what she thinks is broken. Every girl does it at one point." I reply, he's unchangeable and she needs to understand that.
"Wish she could hear you say that. She'd probably just think that your some bitch I fucked back in college anyways." Will sighs in annoyance.
"Actually, I was one of the only bitches you talked to in college." I smiled and looked over at him. He grins in response.
"Yeah no shit, between the three of you ladies and the others, I barely left the friend circle." He chuckles and looks into his coffee.
"First off, I wouldn't think that she's just some bitch you fucked in college. Second off, you are the cruelest mate in America so drop the act of innocence!" A woman yells angrily from the entrance to the kitchen.
"Ah, I see the she-beast has awoken." Ron mumbles.
"Solace?" I look at him for some kind of an introduction and explanation.
"This is Mia, my mate. Mia, this is Ivy, one of my closest friends." Will introduces us.
"Wait, so she gets to call you by your last name but for some reason I can't?! Mia shouts.
"Calm the fuck down." I growl at her. Grabbing Will's arm while I'm at it because he was about to get in her face.
"Who do you think you are telling me what to do?" She says like she's a princess. (Oddly enough I'm the only royal for miles around.)
"I'm the Luna of this pack." I growl, my authority causing her to whimper.
"Ivy..." Will gestures at my hand. Which is still locked onto his arm. I let go quickly and concentrate back on Mia.
"You honestly think that you can talk down to me? Will might have a heart of ice, but ice melts when warmth is introduced. However, the way he's talked about you this morning, and the way you have presented yourself, has told me that your heart is just as frozen as his. How do you expect him to be a good mate, when you can't even do that yourself? Plus, there are worse mates in America than you think." I state calmly. The room went completely silent. Even Will was shocked.
"Well........I.....I just........I wanted......" Mia stutters.
"Spit it out." Ron speaks up.
"I wanted a mate who would love me and make my heart flutter with every touch. For every sweet whisper to-." Mia begins, but I cut her off quickly.
"Okay, we don't need all that personal information." I state.
"Mia, I'm not that kind of guy." Will speaks up. He walks out and motions her to follow him.
"We need to talk about this!" Mia shouts weakly following him.
"What do you think we're going to do?" He asks annoyed. They both leave with Mia trailing behind Will.
"Well, damn." Damien says out loud towards me.
"What? He's one of my closest friends, I had to do something." I turn around and Ron smiles at me.
"It's gonna be fun with you around." He says amused.
"Oh really? Are you thoroughly entertained?" I ask sarcastically.
"Yes, I am indeed, love." He kisses my nose as if I were a child.
"What the-?" I'm confused by the child like treatment.
"Come on, I've got to introduce you to important people in the pack today." Ron says leaving the room. I jog a little to catch up to him.
"Only important people?" I ask.
"Maybe a few old friends of mine as well. And of course, any pack member that says hello." He answers.
"Good! The important people can't take up all of my memory." I joke. He chuckles and we leave the pack house.
