When the sphere appeared, Jac turned to Santi. "Well, there goes the public mating," he said with a smile.



A few seconds later his observation was proven correct with the appearance of the couple's clothes outside of the sphere.



"I think, we have a few reports to turn in," Jac said with a half smile. "I need to report all of these developments to Beauf. You need to contact the Council of Six." He turned to leave the medical bay.



Santi reached down and picked up Lubin. "Would you have ordered an m-m field for the High Medic if she had tried to do that to me?" Santi asked as Jac reached the door.



"No," said Jac. His muscles in his shoulders tightened.



A look of disappointment crossed Santi's face. "Oh."



"I wouldn't have been so nice to her. I would have just killed her," said Jac. He stepped through the door.



"Oh," said Santi. With a far off look on her face, Santi sat down at her desk petting Lubin.
