FIVE MONTHS LATER

╰┈➤𝐘𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐎𝐕*ೃ༄

The sun was setting over the quiet street as War and I stood by my car, excitement bubbling in the air. "Are you ready for your first driving lesson, baby?" I asked, smiling.

War nodded eagerly. "Absolutely! I have been looking forward to this all week, P'Yin!" He replied with enthusiasm.

I opened the driver's side door and motioned for him to slide into the driver's seat. "Get in, baby," I said and he grinned adorably.

"Alright, first things first," I began, settling into the passenger seat beside him. "Adjust your seat and mirrors until you are comfortable and have good visibility."

War fumbled with the controls for a moment before finally finding the right position. "Like this?" He asked, shooting me a hopeful glance.

Smiling, I nodded. "Perfect. Now, let's start the engine and get ready to roll," I said, reaching over to help him start the car.

"Uh, P'Yin, I have to admit something...I have never actually driven a car before," he confessed sheepishly.

I chuckled. "No worries, baby. Everyone has to start somewhere, right?" I reassured him, though a small part of me couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness as well. But well, my baby can do it!!!

As War tentatively pressed down on the accelerator, the car lurched forward slightly, eliciting a nervous laugh from both of us. "Easy there, baby," I said, gently guiding his foot to apply just the right amount of pressure. "Okay, just ease onto the gas pedal," I instructed.

But as War pressed down on the accelerator, the car lurched forward with surprising speed, causing me to let out a terrified scream. "Ahh! Slow down, slow down!" I cried, gripping the door handle for dear life.

War's eyes widened in alarm as he struggled to regain control of the car. "Sorry, sorry!" He stammered, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly.

With each jerky turn and sudden stop, my screams grew louder, punctuated by nervous laughter as we careened down the street. "Watch out for that—ahh!" I yelled as we narrowly avoided a mailbox.

Despite the chaos, War remained surprisingly calm. "I got this, I got this," he muttered to himself, his hands shaking on the wheel.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we pulled back into the driveway, both of us breathing heavily and covered in sweat. "Well, that was...an experience," I gasped, trying to steady my racing heart.

War grinned, his hair tousled and his cheeks flushed with adrenaline. "I'm sorry, P'Yin. I'm just a terrible driver," he said.

I quickly shook my head. "No, no, you are not a terrible driver, baby," I reassured him, trying to suppress my laughter. "Let's just say...you have a unique driving style?"

War's grin widened. "Unique? Is that a polite way of saying I'm a disaster behind the wheel, P'Yin?" He quipped.

I laughed. "Well, we have some room for improvement," I replied.

As we stepped out of the car, I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. "But you know what?" I said, looking into his eyes with affection. "Even if you are the world's worst driver, I wouldn't want to be in that car with anyone else."

War's cheeks flushed with a charming shade of pink as he looked away bashfully. "P'Yin always knows how to make me feel shy," he murmured.

I grinned at his response, unable to resist teasing him gently. "Well, what can I say? I'm just stating the facts," I teased, reaching up to brush a stray lock of hair from his forehead.

War rolled his eyes playfully but his smile remained. "P'Yin is the sweetest boyfriend." He chuckled, leaning in to press a soft kiss to my lips.

━◦○◦━◦○◦━

After our eventful driving class, I suggested we take a break and treat ourselves to War's favorite chocolate waffle before diving back into his driving practice. As we sat at the cafe, savoring each delicious bite, I couldn't resist teasing him about needing a break after driving for what felt like mere minutes.

"So, Mr. Speed Racer, you know, most people don't need a two-hour rest after such a short drive?" I uttered, winking playfully.

War grinned. "Hey, driving can be exhausting work, okay?" He retorted.

I laughed, shaking my head in mock disbelief. "Well, lucky for you, I'm here to provide moral support and plenty of chocolate waffles to keep my baby going," I replied, reaching across the table to squeeze his hand affectionately.

War's laughter filled the air, blending with the chatter of the cafe patrons as we enjoyed our well-deserved break.

I excused myself to go to the toilet for a moment, leaving War alone at the table. As I returned, I was taken aback to find a stranger standing there, a wide smile plastered on his face as he handed his phone to my precious boyfriend.

I felt a surge of possessiveness rise within me as I watched the man flirt shamelessly with my boyfriend. Every fiber of my being screamed to defend what was rightfully mine.

As I drew closer, I caught the flicker of discomfort in War's eyes, the subtle tension in his posture. My anger flared, hot and fierce. I stepped forward, my voice steady despite the rage boiling beneath the surface. "Excuse me," I interjected sharply. "Is there a reason you are at our table?"

The stranger was taken aback by my sudden intrusion. "Oh, sorry," he stammered. "I just couldn't help but notice how cute your friend is," he added, gesturing towards War with a suggestive wink.

I felt my blood boil at his words, my protective instincts kicking into overdrive. "That's my boyfriend," I snapped as I stared at the intruder. "And I would appreciate it if you kept your comments to yourself."

War slightly adjusted his glasses and held my hand who stood beside him. "P'Yin…"

The stranger hesitated, his gaze lingering on me with a smirk, disbelief flickered in his eyes. "You? His boyfriend?" He scoffed.

My jaw clenched, my patience wearing thin at his dismissive attitude. "Yes, me," I replied firmly, meeting his eyes with steely determination. "Is there a problem with that?"

The stranger's smirk widened. "Well, forgive me for being skeptical," he said. "But you don't exactly look like the type who could keep up with someone like him. I mean, you look like someone who always plays around with girls."

My fists clenched at my sides, struggling to contain the anger bubbling within me. How dare this stranger make such presumptuous judgments about me based on nothing more than appearances?

Taking a deep breath to steady myself, I met the stranger's eyes head-on. "You have no idea who I am or what I'm capable of," I retorted. "And frankly, it's none of your business."

The stranger's smirk persisted as his gaze turned on War with unsettling intensity. "I just love looking at beauty when I see it," he remarked smugly,

"Well, you will have to find someone else to ogle," I snapped with irritation. "Because he's taken by me."

Before I could respond more, War stepped in. "Enough," he said. "P'Yin is my boyfriend and I won't tolerate any disrespect towards my boyfriend."

The stranger's smirk faltered, replaced by a look of uncertainty as he glanced between us. Sensing his discomfort, I held his gaze, my own expression unwavering. The stranger then backed away, casting one last skeptical glance in our direction before disappearing.

━◦○◦━◦○◦━

We found solace in the park, the gentle rustle of leaves and distant chatter offering a welcome respite from the earlier encounter. Yet, the memory lingered. With a sudden burst of emotion, I let out an exasperated scream. "Annoying!" I shouted.

"Aww, what's wrong, P'Yin?" War asked, his hand reaching out to gently touch my arm.

I shook my head, feeling a surge of annoyance at the stranger's words. "That guy back there...he really got under my skin," I admitted. "Do I really look like a playboy, baby?" I blurted out, the words tumbling from my lips before I could stop them.

War's eyes widened, a chuckle escaping his lips at the absurdity of the question. Cupping my face in his hands, he examined my features with mock seriousness. "Hmm, let me see..." he teased.

"Babyyyy," I whined, my bottom lip jutting out in a mock sulk.

War's eyes twinkled with amusement as he leaned in closer, his warm breath brushing against my cheek. "Hmm, P'Yin got the cutest nose, the most irresistible smile and those eyes...it's so beautiful," he murmured.

I couldn't help but blush at his sweet words. "But do I look like a playboy, baby?" I repeated.

War chuckled, brushing his thumb gently over my cheek. "No way," he replied. "P'Yin is the most caring, genuine person I know. And besides, P'Yin is all mine," he added with an adorable smile.

A soft giggle escaped my lips as I leaned in, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "And War Wanarat all mine too," I whispered, feeling the love and warmth between us grow with each passing moment.

━◦○◦━◦○◦━

War and I worked side by side, chopping vegetables and stirring pots to prepare our dinner. Just as I reached for a pot on the stove, my phone rang, breaking the peaceful rhythm of our cooking. I glanced at the screen and saw that it was my mae calling.

"Mae call," I told War, planting a quick kiss on his cheek before stepping aside to answer the call.

"Hello, mae," I greeted warmly.

Mae cleared her throat. "Hm hello, what are you doing?"

With a smile, I replied, "I'm helping War cook dinner, mae."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before mae responded with a nonchalant hum. "Well, you must enjoy War's cooking so much that you forgot to give your mae a call."

I chuckled softly. "Sorry about that, mae," I said sincerely. "But you know, War's cooking is amazing."

There was a hint of amusement in mae's voice. "I will have to come over sometime and taste it for myself."

The thought of my parents and War spending time together warmed my heart and I always looked forward to the possibility of them getting to know each other better.

"Sure, mae. We would love to have you over. Just inform me whenever you want to come," I said warmly, picturing mae and War sharing stories and laughter over a delicious meal.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months since the conversation at War's parents' house, I noticed a biggest shift in my parents' attitude towards my relationship with War. While they never explicitly voiced their full acceptance, their actions told everything.

During our phone calls, they no longer pressured me to leave War but instead, they always asked about his well-being, showing a genuine concern that hadn't been there before. It was as if they had started to understand the depth of our love. And with each passing day, their acceptance grew, like a seed slowly taking root and blossoming into a beautiful flower.

I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude towards my parents for their efforts to understand and support us. It wasn't easy for them, I knew but their willingness to try meant the world to me. War, too, was overjoyed by the positive changes in my parents' attitude. His gratitude knew no bounds as he witnessed the newfound acceptance from the people who mattered most to me.

After the pleasant conversation with my parents on the phone, I felt a sense of warmth and contentment washing over me. Ending the call with a smile, I turned to War.

I wrapped my arms around him from behind, pulling him close in a tight embrace. War let out a surprised chuckle as my lips found his, showering him with a flurry of kisses. His laughter was like music to my ears. With each kiss, I felt the love and affection between us grow stronger.

War turned in my arms. "What's gotten into P'Yin, hm?" He inquired while smiling cutely.

I grinned, unable to contain the happiness bubbling within me. "I'm just so grateful for you," I replied, pressing another gentle kiss to his lips. "For us, for everything."

War's smile widened, his arms wrapping around me. "I'm grateful for P'Yin too," he responded.

Feeling the warmth of our embrace and the electricity between us, I couldn't help but feel a surge of desire coursing through my veins, I leaned in close to War's ear. "Then, should we skip dinner and head straight to bed?" I suggested.

War's face flushed a deep shade of red. He let out a nervous laugh, his cheeks tinged with embarrassment as he tried to compose himself. "Phi-P'Yin, P'Yin can't just...suggest that out of nowhere," he stammered.

I smiled widely at his flustered reaction. "Come on, baby," I uttered, gently tracing his top nose with my finger. "We can always have dinner later. Right now, I just want to be with my baby."

A shy smile tugging at his lips. "P'Yin is pervert," he murmured.

With a mischievous grin, I scooped him up and slung him over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes. War couldn't contain his laughter, his joyful screams echoing through the house.

"P'Yin, put me down!" He exclaimed between fits of giggles.

But I simply laughed, tightening my grip on him as I carried him effortlessly. "Not a chance, baby," I replied with a chuckle of my own.

War's laughter only grew louder as he squirmed in my grasp, his protests turning into helpless giggles. "P'Yin is ridiculous!" He murmured.

And as we disappeared behind closed doors, the anticipation of what was to come filled the air, igniting a spark of passion between us that would burn long into the night.
