Summary: waiting for Tom you chat with Mattheo before he reveals something that riles you and Tom up. Meeting up together you both make up.

I greeted Mattheo as I entered the dorm he shared with Tom. Tom asked me to stop by his dorm so we could possibly read together.
"Hey y/n" He said as I walked in and sat myself on Toms bed. Mattheo was doing homework on his bed and piles of both books and papers on his bed. He and Tom seemed like complete opposites. Tom kept his things neat and in place while Mattheo kept things everywhere. Clothes were scattered on the floor of Mattheos side while Toms side remained spotless.
"Do you mind helping me y/n?" Mattheo asked looking up at me desperately.
"Yeah" I replied getting up from Toms bed.
"I just struggle with potions" He sighed as I took a look at the quills he had open. Examining his quill he had taken side notes all over the edges of his quill.
"You messed up on the second part" I told him as he examined what I pointed out.
"It's a common mistake I used to make it a lot especially with potions like pythernia" I told Mattheo as he nodded in realization. He quickly re writes his assignment before showing me.
Looking through it I give back to him nodding
"It looks good to me" I said.
"And who helped you out with it?" Mattheo asked again looking at me.
"Tom, you know he understands the material better than I do right" I said.
"Don't wanna waste his time" Mattheo shot back. Opening another one of his text books.
I knew they shared an odd relationship. Sometimes people even forget they're brothers. I'd even question is they truly liked each other.
I didn't want to say anything else so I sat myself in front of him. His papers laid between us as we sat facing each other.
"Was that all you needed for potions?" I asked Mattheo wanting to be for helpful.
"Uh no just a few more you mind helping?" He asked me grabbing a hold of more papers that were behind him. I nod my head before he hands me his quills.
If Tom wasn't here as might as well use my time wisely and spend it on helping Mattheo.
Mattheo was a year younger than me and Tom. Me and Tom were both 6th years while Mattheo was a 5th year. At some times I did feel guilty for Mattheo. Having to meet up to Toms high reputation.
Tom was always a top student ahead of our class. Of course I would come second a few times but I never really minded it I was still top 3. I remembered the one time I scored higher than Tom he refused to talk to me. Claimed because he was helping me so much I was scoring better than him.
"As much as I want to no" Tom huffed turning his back on me and studying.
"Oh come on it was just a test" I whined wrapping my arms around his shoulders from behind leaning down to kiss his cheek.
"A test that will cost me my future because I wanted to help my girlfriend out" He continued on.
"Fine you big moody baby" I teased Tom ruffling his hair before laying on his bed.
"Alright that should be all of it Mattheo says as I look over the pile of work he has laid out. I nod before I start to skim over his work.
"Okay this is where you messed up" I told Mattheo pointing to the third step of his equation.
"How? He asked confused.
"You need to add the string after putting in the red leaves" I told Mattheo as I re-wrote his statement.
"I thought it didn't matter" Mattheo groans annoyed.
"Potions is too complicated" He says.
"Alright last one" I told Mattheo placing the last quill out in front of us.
"Do you see your mistake yet?" I questioned Mattheo. He studied his answers before pointing to a step.
"I forgot to put the drop of malice oil into the cauldron"Mattheo says unsurely and I nod. I high-five him happy of his accomplishment.
"Where the hell is your brother" I asked Mattheo checking the time to see 2 hours have passed. Mattheo shrugs his shoulders and I decide to help him clean up the mess he's made on his bed. Gathering the quills with ink written over them.
While cleaning up his bed the door opens and I turn around to see Tom. Handing Mattheo his last text book I walk up to Tom giving him a kiss.
"Where have you been" I asked Tom hugging my arms around his waist. He smiles placing his arms around my shoulders looking down at me.
"I was called in last minute for prefect duties. Tried my best to get here as quick as I could" Tom said leaning down to give me another kiss. I kiss him again.
"So what we're you two doing" Tom questions motioning to Mattheo.
I let go of Tom sitting on his bed.
"Nothing I just helped him with his work" I told Tom as he scoffed.
"What?" I asked confused. Was he mad at me?
"He's old enough to do his own work" Tom said as I turned to look at Mattheo who only looked at Tom with anger.
"Oh here he goes again" Mattheo says talking about Tom.
"Me? Please your the one using my girlfriend to do your homework because your a fucking idiot your practically smoking your head off" Tom spat harshly at Mattheo my eyes widen from Toms words.
I can tell by the silence and tension in the room that Mattheo was taken back.
How could Tom be so foolish. How could he say such hurtful things to his own brother the one person who shared his blood. I shook my head in disapproval of Toms words as I feel Tom staring at me.
"Is this why you allowed that Ravenclaw to give you head for a stupid fucking crown" Mattheo shot back minutes later as I turn to look at him.
What?!
I turned to Tom who stood still.
"What did you just say?" I asked Mattheo turning my gaze towards him.
"Looks like Tommy isn't as perfect as you think he is" Mattheo said chuckling.
Looking at Tom I was angry and so was he.
"Are you serious Tom?!" I asked him standing up from his bed.
"No no no it wasn't like that y/n"
Tom says grabbing my arm.
"When did it happen?!" I questioned Tom as he stood quietly.
"please y/n I'm telling you it's not what it seems" Tom pleaded as I shook my head.
"Goodbye Riddle" I said pushing him out of my way.
I was hurt. Tom would really throw our relationship over a crown.
Toms POV:
"Well I hope your fucking happy" I spat at Mattheo angrily. My wand was clutched into my hand and I fought ever bone in my body telling me to cure this fucker.
"She deserved to know" Mattheo adds on leaning back against his head board pulling out a cigarette.
Walking up to Mattheo u choke him.
"What the hell Tom" He said trying to get out of my grip.
"I don't give s fuck who you are but you will never jeopardize nor get in the way of my relationship with y/n" I said before Mattheo punched me right across the face losing the grip I held on his neck. I hissed feeling a sting across my face but I pulled out my wand shooting a small curse at Mattheo.
"If you actually stayed and watched the whole thing you'd realize the moment that filthy mud blood got on her knees I killed her" I admitted fixing the collar of my shirt looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I was going to pay a visit to my beloved y/n.
"Your lucky she tolerates you brother I would've killed you right here" I spat at Mattheo before leaving our dorm.
Never a day where me and Mattheo didn't have an argument but I also knew we'd most likely get over whatever argument we had.
I figured y/n would be at the Room of Requirements considering her dorm would be full of annoying whores. And I was right.
Finding the entrance and enter the room I noticed y/n on a bed crying she had the blanket over her body but her sobs were easily heard.
"Get out Tom I don't want to see you!" She yelled. I'm guessing she sensed my presence.
"Please can we talk" I pleaded as I sat next to y/n who was laying down in the bed.
"About what that your a cheating prick!" She spat at me as I sighed.
"I promise dear I didn't let another girl touch me" I said placing my hand over y/ns hip and rubbing her sides softly. Her back was turned against me with a blanket over her.
"Then why would your own bother say that?"
"Because he saw it all wrong, the moment she got on her knees I got rid of her"
"I swear" I added on wanting y/n to believe me. It was the truth the thought of another girl disgusted me.
She stays silent still keeping her back faced to me as I let out a deep sigh.
"How about I take Veritaserum for you my love" I spoke softly removing the blanket off her face. I smiled I was getting somewhere with y/n.
"Fine" Y/n huffs. She was so stubborn. Having a vile already prepared I took it out of my pocket showing her. She examines the color of the potion making sure it was truly Veritaserum. Y/n sits up watching me open the vile before swallowing it.
"Go on ask me" I motioned to y/n.
"Anytime in our relationship have you ever cheated?" She asked.
"No never crossed my mind" I instantly spat out. Her eyes search my face seeing any small hint of a lie being said.
"And what Mattheo said is it true?" She questioned me.
"No I killed Astrid the moment she fell to her knees and gave me a crown" The words leave my mouth as y/n relaxes a bit.
"Will you admit I'm better than you" Y/n asks smiling as I shake my head. Suddenly the tension felt was cut and over with.
"If it makes you happy then yes but we both know the truth" I told y/n. She moves herself closer to me sitting on my lap.
"You finally believe me?" I ask her.
"Yeah" y/n mumbles pecking my lips.
"Good" I said pulling her in with my hands around her neck.
"I'm sorry for not telling you about it" I looked at her backing myself away from her. She smiles before kissing my forehead.
"It's okay" Y/n mumbles hugging my head against her chest.
After meeting with y/n in the Room of Requirements I walk her to her dorm. She kisses me before I watch her walk into her dorm and closing the door behind her.
Walking to my dorm I pass 3rd years trying to sneak into the girls dormitories. I scoff what a bunch of armatures. Entering my dorm I see Mattheo smoking on his bed.
"Hope you enjoyed the show" I told Mattheo slipping off my robes.
"Don't act like you two didn't just make up" Mattheo scolds.
"Accept the fact she wanted me not you" I shot back.
"If you need someone I can help out I'm sure there are plenty of whores here wanting to whore around with you" I said grinning at Mattheo as he chuckles.
"They're not y/n" He teased as I shot him a look.
"And your not me" I told him before ending our conversation.
I knew Mattheo liked y/n the moment she sat beside me during breakfast. I always had an eye out for her but during a party we both made moves on each other. Good to say it paid of. The second time I hooked up with y/n Mattheo was on his side of the room pretending to be asleep while his boner only grew. Sucks he wasn't ever going to experience y/n the way I do. He wasn't me.
