Alessandra walks up to the Jeep that Edward picked her up with and leans on it, touching the soulmate necklace delicately. The brunette closes her eyes, trying to push the fear of any Cullen or wolf ending up hurt in the battle against the newborns.
-Jasper. - The girl calls when seeing the mentioned one walk past her. - Can't I do anything else?
-Your presence. Your scent will distract the newborns. - The brunette nods with a grimace. - Their hunting instincts will overwhelm and drive them mad.
Alessandra makes a mental note.
-Not to be pushy or anything but... how do you know so much about this? - Jasper turns to the girl with half a smile.
-I didn't have the same upbringing as my foster siblings. - The guy uncovers his arms, Alli noticing biting marks all over them.
She gets closer and touhes each mark carefully, remembering hers.
-They're like mine. - She whispers, making him smile lightly.
-Battle scars. My training at the confederate army was useless against the newborns. Still, I never lost one battle. - He assures. The human, without helping it, smiles proudly. They both start walking alongside each other.
-It happened during the Civil War? - She exclaims, intrigued. Inserting her hands in her pockets.
-I was the youngest mayor in the cavalry. All without seeing a single battle. - He smiles, looking at the forest.
-And then?
-I met a ceratin immortal. Maria. - Jasper recalls with grudge, making the girl frown in confusion. - I was returning after evacuating a bunch of women and children. Then I saw them and immediately offered to help.
The human keeps quiet, imagining Jasper in that scenario.
-She was creating an army?
-They were very common in the South. There were constant and violent battles for territory. Maria won them all. - He explains, remembering every battle. - She was smart, careful, and she had me. I was her second in command. My ability to control emotions served her well. She trained her newborns. It was a constant occupation, for she never let them live more than a year. Disposing them was my job.
Alessandra turns to him, realizing there's a feeling of guilt behind those words. Jasper had killed so many people before Alice or the Cullens appeared in his life.
-I could feel everything they felt. I thought what Maria and I had was love. But she was using me, I was just he puppet and she pulled the strings. I didn't know there was another way... until I found Alice. - He smiles, his eyes sparkling. Making the girl feel moved. - She saw me coming, of course.
-You kept me waiting long enough. - Alice suddenly appears beside Jasper.
Alessandra smiles, enchanted by the way both vampires look into each other's eyes.
-My apologies, ma'am. - Jasper follows, without looking away. - I don't know what I'd become without her.
-Shh. You won't have to be that again. - Alice whispers before kissing him lovingly.
Alli switches her gaze somewhere else with a smile, containing her desire of taking a picture of the adorable couple.

The brunette looks around in confusion, realizing she isn't in Forks. She looks down at her clothes, finding out she finds herself dressed with clothing from a completely different era. The girl looks up front, seeing Jasper and an unknown woman, both of them staring at her.
-Jasper. - The woman whispers in the blond's ear, whose eyes are carmine red.
-Jasper? - Alessandra slowly walks toward him.
-I want you to kill her. - The woman whispers, suddenly transforming into Victoria, who finds herself behind Jasper.
Alli walks backwards, watching how the guy starts smiling, without looking away from her. Suddenly, it's not Victoria anymore, it's Jessica now. Alessandra chokes a scream when seeing Ethan beside the guy.
-Jasper. - The human begs, frightened.
-Kill her, Jasper. Do it. - Jessica and Victoria order, letting him approach he girl.
-It won't hurt, babe. It'll be quick. - Ethan assures, Alli shaking her head immediately.
The brunette tries escaping, but Jasper quickly grips her neck. Alessandra suddenly wakes up, heavy breathing, rapid heartbeat.
-Sweetheart? - Edward calls, lying by her side. - What's wrong?
The mind reader caresses her cheek delicately, making her look at him worriedly. Seconds later, her expression softens and she closes her eyes tightly, trying to push the image of Ethan attacking her alongside Jasper by Victoria and Jessica's orders.
-Riley. The newborn army are their puppets. - She whispers, without opening her eyes. Trying to control her breathing. - Victoria, Ethan, and Jessica.
Alli opens her eyes, Edward tensing by her words. The vampire keeps caressing his partner's cheek, attempting to distract her.
-Alice would've seen if they were forming an army. - The girl places a hand over his, shaking her head.
-Unless they're hiding in the shadows and are letting someone else decide. Victoria knows about Alice's gift and Jessica would have colaborated along with Ethan. - She explains. Edward stays silent, thinking about such possibility before staring back at his soulmate.
-We'll speak about it with Carlisle. You need to rest, sweetheart. - He whispers, leaning closer to kiss his soulmate's lips.
Alessandra nods slowly and accommodates herself on the bed, hugging Edward's chest. She closes her eyes to try falling asleep again, and does it bit by bit since her soulmate strokes her hair. Edward starts singing a lullaby, making her smile lightly and fall into a deep sleep once again.
♥️My parents got me some stuff from their trip. Things like a kpop album, some clothes, two books, etc.
♥️One of the books is called "Tales" by David Jones. I've discovered it through Tiktok and was immediately intrigued by all the diffferent worlds in it. The other book is call "Fairest Of All". It's like the Evil Queen's backstory. There's a series of books with the backstories of different Disney villains. I also wanna get Ursula's and Cruella's.
♥️Moving on to my school talent show, the final is next Friday, so I'll be practicing every Taylor Swift song I know as much as I can. In addition to that, on Thursday and Friday there won't be school, so that'll give me even more time to practiice.
