Edward, Emmett, and Rosalie sprint through the forest, the blonde wearing many of Alessandra's clothes while Edward and Emmett have them on their hands.
-Rosalie, marc the tree. - Edward orders, still running.
The girl obeys him, marking the tree with Alessandra's scent. She gets closer to smell it, smiling lightly by feeling her brown-haired friend's scent. Rose keeps running behind her partner and brother.
Ethan and James follow the aroma, certain it's the girl. The wolf has intentions of keep running, but the vampire stops on his tracks by feeling a different scent.
The blonde man approaches the tree that Rosalie marked previously and smells it.
-Why'd you stop? Alessandra was here. - Ethan asks him.
-It's not the girl. It's the Cullens. - James sneeres, punching the tree. - They tricked us! Follow me!
Ethan curses and starts following the vampire, returning to where the were before. Edward, Emmett, and Rosalie return to that point after realising neither of the men is following them.
-They've figured it out. - Edward breathes, thinking about his soulmate.
Both Rose and Emmett curse, and, along with their brother, they start running.
Alessandra gets out of the bathroom, putting the necklace on. She touches delicately for a few seconds before hearing an exclamation from Alice. The brown-haired immediately approaches the pixie-haired and Jasper, who turn to his partner.
-What is it? What do you see? - Jasper rubs Alice's back, who zones out.
-Ethan and James changed course. They realised it wasn't Alessandra who was going North. - She speaks, staring at a certain point of the room.
-Where are they heading, Alice? - Jasper takes a piece of paper and a pencil.
He places the paper in front of her and the pencil on her hand for her her to starts drawing without looking at the paper.
-A room full of mirrors. - Alice frowns, still drawing, still zoned out.
Alessandra stands in front of both vampires.
-Edward said the visions weren't always true. - The human recalls one of the many conversations with her soulmate.
-She sees the path people choose. They change it's course, the vision changes. - Jasper explains, still rubbing his partner's back.
Alessandra nods slowly and looks down at Alice's drawing.
-Ethan and James are going to... a ballet studio? - She frowns, confused.
-You've been there. - Jasper asks her.
The human shakes her head "no" quickly, but hears her phone ringing. She takes it, answering the call.
-Alli, we lost James and Ethan. - Edward speaks at the moment his partner answered the call.
-Is everyone okay? - The brown-haired asks worriedly.
-Yes. - He replies after staying silent for a few seconds. - I'm coming for you. Then you and I will go somewhere, alone. The others will keep searching for Ethan and James. - Alessandra nods, holding onto her grandma's necklace. - I'll do whatever it takes for you to be safe, Alessandra. - He assures, making the girl close her eyes.
Jasper and Alice stand up from the couch where they were sat after hearing Edward's words. They both start packing everything they took out while Alessandra speaks talks with Edward. Minutes later, the three of them head to the lobby. The human stays away from Alice and Jasper, but walks from one direction to another.
The girl jumps slightly on her place when hearing her phone ring. She stares at the unknown number, and, hesitantly, gets even more away from Alice and Jasper to answer.
-My gorgeous Alessandra. - The girl starts shaking by hearing Ethan's voice.
-E-Ethan. - She whispers, feeing her eyes teary.
-Did you miss me, babe? I did. You don't know how many times I've touched myself thinking it was you. - Alessandra closes her eyes, nauseous by his words.
-What do you want, Ethan? - She asks, her eyes still closed.
-What do I want, beautiful? I want you! I want you in my arms, kissing me and loving me! - Ethan yells furiously.
-I stopped loving you long ago. I'll never be with you again. - The human states, opening her eyes, many tears coming out.
-You really think that? If you don't do what I say, your whole family will pay. - Alessandra's breathing starts increasing.
-Don't bring my family into this! - She yells.
-I want you to come to the dance studio in Pheonix. Don't take your beloved Cullens, or the so-called Edward, or your family will pay. - Ethan warns before hanging up.
Alessandra pulls the phone apart from her ear, her hands shaky. She looks back at Alice and Jasper, who talk with one of the hotel receptionists. The girl hesitates for a moment if telling them or not. After making a choice, she turns around, exiting the hotel and calling a cab to go to the address Ethan told her.
As the cab goes, she thinks about the danger her family may be in, how worried Edward and his family will be. The girl contains a sob, and keeps looking through the window, delicately touching her grandmother's necklace.
The girl arrives at the dance studio, and after paying the driver, he drives away. The brown-haired stares at the outside of the studio, until deciding to come in, the place creepily silent.
-You took less than I thought, beautiful. - Ethan speaks, hiding in a stragetic point while watching Alessandra standing on a part of the studio.
-I'm here. Just finish this. - Alessandra orders, looking around. - You've always been a coward, Ethan. You never solve your problems on your own. - The guy starts getting angry by his ex's words. He has intentions of throwing himself at her, but James stops him. - Where is my family?! - Alessandra asks desperately, still looking around.
The girl hears a cackle from Ethan, for which she tries looking at him, but he finds himself reflected in every mirror.
-Your sweet family... - Ethan appears all of a sudden, walking toward Alessandra, who walks backwards.
-They're not even here. - The girl whispers, him pushing her against a wall while gripping her neck.
The guy sicks his face to the girl's neck, smelling her perfume, and smiles immediately. Alessandra closes her eyes, feeling a knot in her throat, remembering multiple bad moments she went through.
-Oh, I'm sorry, beautiful, but you made it too easy like always. - Ethan mocks, pulling apart from her neck to stare at her. - So to make things more entertaining, we got company.
Alessandra feels her heart pounding by seeing James walking toward them, a small smile on his face.
-Action. - The immortal whispers, holding a camera, focusing her and Ethan, who smiles.
-This'll break your beloved Edward's little heart, don't you think? That's the idiot's name who you left me for? - Ethan sneeres, gripping her neck once again.
-Edward and his family have nothing to do with this! - She yells with difficulty, wanting to punch him, but he increases his grip on her neck.
-Stay like this, Alessandra. His anger will make this sport more interesting than his weak attempt of protecting you. - James comments, still recording.
Alessandra closes her eyes, and steps on Ethan's foot, making him curse. The brown-haired kicks her ex's stomach with her knee before escaping.
James curses and follows her with inhuman speed, until facing her. The girl has intentions of running on another direction, but the vampire grabs her neck, throwing her to a column, making her hit her head.
Alessandra sobs in pain, her shaky hand reaching her head, realising it starts bleeding. James smiles, and gets closer.
-Beautiful. Very visually dinamic. - He smirks, crouching in front of her. - We chose the stage well, right, Ethan? - The mentioned one approaches them with an angry expression. James grabs Alessandra's hand, which is covered in blood. The girl looks away, shaking as he approaches his face to the blood with a smile. - It's sad that Edward didn't have the will to turn you. He kept you a fragile human. - He hisses before Alessandra pulls her hand away abruptly. - That's truly cruel. - James smiles, and, without thinking twice, steps on the girl's leg, who screeches in pain. - Tell Edward how it hurts, Alessandra! Tell him! - He yells with excitement by seeing the girl in agony.
Ethan smiles immediately when seeing her tears. James is defeated by Edward, who suddenly appears. Ethan rushes to Alessandra to grip her neck.
Edward looks back at his partner, who looks at him with fear and desperation. The vampire turns to Ethan, who grins at him before pulling Alessandra's hair, making her grunt in pain.
The mind reader has intentions of approaching his soulmate, but James grabs his neck to push him against a mirror.
-You're alone, because you're faster than the others. - The blonde man hits the glass with Edward's head, making it shatter in pieces. - But not stronger.
-Strong enough to kill you both. - Edward speaks before kicking James away, throwing him at some part of the dance studio. James falls to the floor aftre breaking a mirror, the pieces spreading around. Edward approaches Ethan to defeat him. Alessandra falls down, and is immediately carried by her partner. - I'm sorry, Alli. - The vampire whispers before taking an impulse to get out of the place, but James grabs his foot. The human falls to the floor harshly over multiple pieces of shattered glass. The immediately sobs in pain. - Alessandra! - Edward has intentions approaching her, but James takes him, throwing him to a window, breaking it.
Alessandra closes her eyes tightly when feeling a piece of glass buried in her leg. She presses her lips together, and pulls it out. The girl starts making pressure on her right thigh to stop the bleeding. She takes some glass off her arms, tears coming out.
James approaches her, smiling. Ethan has intentions of going with her, but stops on his tracks when thinking Edward could finish him, for which he decides to leave. James grips Alessandra's wrist, grinning at Edward.
The girl tries setting herself free, but, seconds later, the blonde man buries his teeth into her wrist, managing to make her let out a deafening scream.
Edward throws himself at James, breaking the studio floor. Alessandra starts feeling a horrible burn through her entire body, as if fire was running through her veins. She keeps sobbing, panting as she hears different voices around, but doesn't recognize any of them.
-Alli. Alessandra, look at me. - The girl opens her eyes, finding Rosalie and Alice, who's in front of her.
-Enough, son. Remember who you are. - Carlisle tells Edward, grabbing his shoulder, making him turn to him. The man looks back at Alessandra, who finds hersef screaming in pain. - Alessandra needs you. - He tells his son, which was enough for the mind reader to react.
-It's okay, Alli. It's all right. - Alice starts making pressure on the girl's thigh. She approaches her blood-covered fingers to her nose, and closes her eyes. - Carlisle, her blood. - She calls, controlling her impulses along with Rosalie.
-Your brothers will help. - Carlisle assures. Edward lets James go, Jasper and Emmett immediately grabbing the blonde man by the shoulders.
-We'll take care of it. - Emmett speaks. - Light the fire. Use the boards.
Jasper takes many wooden boards from the floor, lighting up the fire while Emmett strongly holds James. Alessandra's body starts shaking abruptly.
-Alice! - Emmett and Jasper exclaim.
-She's losing too much blood. - Carlisle explains when kneeling beside Alessandra.
-I-It's burning. - The girl struggles, her body still shaking.
Rosalie holds her arms, trying to stop the harsh movements. Edward approaches to his partner to delicately take her hand.
-You have to choose, Edward. She doesn't have much time left. - Carlisle tells him, who shakes his head.
-Edward. - Rose begs.
-The change will happen, I've seen it. - Alice announces, still making pressure on Alessandra's wound.
-We gotta stop the hemorrhage. Make a tourniquet with your belt. - The man tells her, who nods, taking her belt off to make the torniquete around the human's leg. - Tighter. - Alessandra looks at the flames the Jasper and Emmett lit, until closer her eyes by the burning in her body. Alice gets away to approach James and rip his head off. Alli opens her eyes, seeing the blurry image of how James is ripped apart and burned. - You have to suck the venom out. - Carlisle tells Edward, who immediately shakes his head "no".
-Alessandra. - Rosalie watches how the girl lets several tears out.
-You know I won't be able to stop. - Edward reminds, the brown-haired screaming by feeling her insides slowly burning.
-Find the will to stop. Choose. She only has minutes left. - Rosalie starts shaking her head.
-Edward! - She exclaimes, trying to make her brother react.
-You'll be okay, Alli. I'll make it go away. - The girl glances at Edward, noticing his desperate and regretful expression.
Alessandra sobs in pain, multiple tears coming out when feeling how Edward bites her wrist, sucking the venom out. The brown-haired slowly starts feeling relief in her body, the pain and the burning slowly fading.
-Edward. - Rose warns, rubbing the human's arm.
-Her blood's clean. You're killing her. - Carlisle watches hos how son has no intentions of letting Alli's wrist go.
-E-Edward. - Alessandra sobs in a whisper before falling unconscious.
