EVELYN'S POV
In as much as I slept in my husband's arms which draws me to deep slumber but last night was a different scenario. I kept having this weird dreams were I showed up late to my defence and at times it was when I flopped during my presentation. Needless to say I couldn't sleep a wink all through the night. It was around 4am when I was able to calm myself down that I peacefully closed my eyes and slept off.
I just got woken up by my alarm and when I checked the time it was 7am already. If I remember vividly I had just closed my eyes barely 5 minutes ago so how come it is 7am. Eros was still soundly asleep and when I woke up I was cuddled next to him. He must have been really tired yesterday that the alarm could not wake him up. I shook him to wake him up since he had to prepare for work.
"Babe you should get up and prepare for work?" I said to him while shaking him
"What time is it now?" He asked me stretching himself to get the drowsiness out of his eyes
"It's 7am already and you know you have to drop me off at college first before heading to work" I reminded him
"What time is your presentation?" He asked me yawning
"It's by 10am so I have less than 3hrs to be fully prepared" I answered him while getting up from the bed.
"Okay then go and prepare I am waiting for you" he stated standing up and heading downstairs.
I rushed into the bathroom, did my business and had my bath. With the towel tightly tied around my breast and another on my wet hair I went into the walk in closet. His closet is very big even with my stuff neatly arranged together with his there is still room for 2 more person's stuff.
I took my hair dryer and dried my hair. I put on my clothes and packed my hair in a ponytail after which I applied a mascara, a lip balm and wore my silver stud earrings. I slipped in my shoes, slipped on my wedding band , carried my bag and headed downstairs. I checked the time and it was 7:50am so I went straight to the dinning. Mrs Teresa was there already whipping up some pancakes when I arrived.
"Good morning Teresa and how are you doing?" I greeted her
"I am fine dear and what about you" she asked me as I settled down on the chair
"I am fine thank you. Have you by chance seen my husband this morning" I asked her because after dressing up I haven't seen Eros anywhere
"Ooh dear he is at the gym, according to him it's been so long he burned some fat" she answered me smiling
"I will be right back" I told her standing up and heading to the gym.
I got to the gym room and when I opened the door I was met with the hot, sweaty, shirtless body of my husband on the pull up bar. As he pulls himself up his ripped and pulsing muscles bulges out and he looks more sexier. As he does this I couldn't get my eyes off of him and the room grew hotter by 50°. I was fanning myself and imagining myself under him when the sound of him clearing his throat brought me out of my reverie.
"Like what you see?" He asked me smirking while getting off the pull up bar
"Ehrrmm...you weren't at the dining neither where you in the room so I thought to come and check you here" I answered him evading his question
"You still haven't answered my question darling, do you like what you see?" He asked yet again. This time around he came closer to me with a towel wrapped around his neck which he was using to wipe off the sweat on his body and whispered into my ear
"Because they are all yours" he said kissing my lips slowly and heading out
"I will just take a quick shower and be with you shortly" he finished saying before he was out of my sight
"Oh my god, what was that. I am definitely in deep shit" I muttered to myself
I went back down to the dining to have my breakfast and when Mrs Teresa saw me she was giving me a knowing smile. I wonder what she is thinking in that head of hers. She served me my own plate of pancakes with a glass of milk and I thanked her for it. I was almost done with my breakfast when Eros came down dressed in a grey sweatshirt and blank pant and I am very sure that's not his work outfit so I looked at him with an eye demanding for explanation
"I may or may not be going to work today so chill" he said sitting down and taking his plates of pancakes and glass of milk. I waited for him to finish his breakfast since he was my ride to the college while I went through the soft copy of my work in my tab. Once he was done we dropped our plates in the dishwasher and Eros helped me to carry my bag as a good gentleman that he is.
"Goodluck on your defence dear" Mrs Teresa wished me and I thanked her as we left. I waited in front for Eros to drive the car out of the garage and when he stopped in front of me I entered and he zoomed off.
We got to my department by 9:15 am and Eros found a spot to park his car. I was about to get off from the car when Eros stopped me
"Hold up mi lady for the rest of the day I gat you. You don't need to lift a finger and that's why I am here. I worked my ass off yesterday just so I could clear my schedule for today and be your bodyguard" he said smiling and getting off from the car while coming to my side of the door to open it for me. So tell me why I wouldn't fall for this guy so quickly.
I got down from the car and he took my bag from me. He closed the door and gave me his hand for me to hold. I slipped my hands in his arm and we walked together into my department. All eyes were on us as we walked in, most especially the girls eyes were on him ogling him with their jaws dropped to the floor and others whispering and giggling. I have never had so much attention directed at me in my life like I am having now. I may not have liked being at the center of attention but right now I am enjoying it so much having my hot, handsome husband with me.
I have always being a loner in my department and only interacted with Ethan but recently I started talking with this Cayden guy and he was really helpful to me during my finals. So when I saw him talking to one of our coursemates I called out to him. He turned and smiled at me but when he saw I was linking arms with my husband the smile was wiped off his face.
"Cayden with a C what's up?" I greeted him
"Evelyn how are you?" He asked me looking between me and my husband
"I'm good and you? Knowing you I am sure you are gonna wow these supervisors today" I told him smiling
"You are one to talk you know you aren't bad as you claim to be" he said. I was about to respond to him when Eros nudged me. I totally forgot for a second that my husband was here with me
"Where are my manners...uuhmm Cayden meet my husband Eros and babe meet Cayden my coursemate turned friend" I introduced the both of them
"Husband?" Cayden asked shocked
"So you are married?" He asked me yet again
"I am very much married" I responded to him smiling while showing him my wedding band
Cayden brought out his hand for a handshake but Eros was just looking at his hands and leaving it hanging so I nudged him
"How can I shake him when you are clinging to me like this" he whispered to me and I disentangled our hands so he shook him with the hands I freed since he was carrying my bag in the other.
"So are the supervisors here" I asked Cayden slipping my hands back into my husband's. With the eyes these girls were throwing at Eros I had to claim him publicly and protect my territory
"Yes they are all here and set to start we are just waiting for the stated time " he replied me
"Okay thanks, I will just wait at the auditorium with my husband and goodluck today" I told him before patting ways with Cayden and heading to the auditorium with Eros.
