Chapter 54

EVELYN'S POV

I and Eros walked into the auditorium arm in arm and people were staring shamelessly at us. One of my coursemates whom I have never spoken to before walked towards me and Eros.

"Hey Evelyn" she greeted me while twirling her hair and eyeing my husband seductively.

"Wow so you know my name?" I asked her flabbergasted

"Of course I know you and your boyfriend Ethan in Business Management department" she answered still eyeing my husband

"Then I doubt you know me because if you did you wouldn't have mistaken my best friend for my boyfriend" I retorted

"Seeing how very close you guys are everyone will undoubtedly mistake you guys for the same thing" she replied me

I don't know what games this girl is planning to play but it is definitely not good at all and I don't want whatever she says to sow seeds of doubt in my husband's heart so I had to excuse us.

"Uhm I don't know you and I don't care who you are but I have to go with my husband" I told her leaving with Eros. We were searching for a seat to sit down till we found an empty one at the third pew. We took our seats and sat down. I made a silent prayer but still I felt very nervous. I didn't know my legs were shaking until Eros touched them.

"Babe you need to calm down and know that you will ace this. If your nervousness overrides your confidence then you will have to kiss your defense goodbye and come back next year is that what you want?" He asked me

"No" I shook my head vehemently

"Good, then keep calm. You don't have to look at the audience or the supervisors, you can focus your gaze at me I will be right here all the way okay"  he said and his words calmed me down. Equally my erratic beating heart stopped as well. I slipped my hands into his and he held me tighter with his more larger hands in assurance.

We stayed like that for a few minutes before the supervisors trooped in. There were about three of them with our HOD and two of our lecturers too. They took their seats and readied themselves after which they started calling us one after the other according to our registration number. It got to my turn and when they called me Eros kissed my cheek and told me that I will do good and that gave me the confidence boost that I needed. I got to the stage and greeted the supervisors and lecturers seated before introducing myself.  They asked me the title of my project and my documentation style which I answered. They asked me so many questions which I was familiar with because it was just like I rehearsed with Eros and I answered them all. After they were done with me they called out my other coursemates too, all in all the defense ended at 4pm and we were set to go

When we were seated in the car I heaved a very long sigh.

"It's all over babe" I smiled as I said to Eros and hopped on him engulfing him in a hug

"Yes darling it's all over and you did great all through the way" he said laughing while patting my back

I released him from the hug so that he could drive us home. The car was moving until it stopped in front of a restaurant.

"Babe where are we, I thought we were heading home?" I asked him

"Love with all you have accomplished today it definitely calls for a celebration so that's why we are here" he said

"Don't bother about the price and if it is not filling you can order as much plates of food as you want till you are filled okay" he completed

I smiled in embarrassment " could you forget all I said in our first dinner please" I begged him with puppy eyes

"I could never forget that" he replied laughing.

He called over a waiter and we placed our orders. I ordered a plate of pasta and steak with wine and he ordered the same thing. We or rather I devoured my food and this time it was to my fill. We toasted to love and success and clicked our glasses before taking a sip of our wine.

After we were done with dinner Eros drove us home. Mrs Teresa wasn't home when we got in but she already made dinner. Not having the stomach for another round I put the food in the refrigerator so that we could have it tomorrow. As soon as I got to our room I got a call from mum that's Eros mum. I picked the call and it was a video call. She asked me how the defense went and wished me congratulations. I moved closer to Eros So that he could enter the call as well. We spoke to his parents for another fifteen minutes and promised them to come over that weekend for dinner.

Once we were done with the call Eros went into the bathroom to have his bath while I went to the closet to take out a robe. After he was done bathing I went into the bathroom to have my bath too. I bathed with my vanilla scented soap which Eros loves and I am going to wear nothing beneath the robe. Tonight I am going to take it to the next level. All these while we have kissed and made out but tonight I want more and I am ready for it. After bathing I walked to the closet to blow dry my hair and went to lay beside my husband.

I lay on his chest while placing my legs on his crotch making sure he perceives my vanilla scent because I know it turns him on. I raised my legs up and down his crotch and he let out a huff

"Evelyn becareful what you wish for because I may not hold myself back" he said

"Can I take off your robe?" He asked me and I nodded in affirmative

He loosened the knot on my robe and removed the robe entirely from me. I felt shy because I was basically the only one naked. It seemed he noticed that I was uncomfortable because he removed his clothes too leaving him only on his brief.

"You are so fucking beautiful" he whispered to me while cupping my breast and leaving kisses all over my face.
