Yondu: We should be going up!
Quill: We can't. Ego wants to eradicate the universe as we know it. We have to kill him. Rocket!
Rocket: Got it!
I was concerned.
Blake: So I guess this is another adventure in which we might not survive.
Quill: It could be if we're not careful. We just have to get in, blow up the core and get out quick before Ego revives.
Rocket: So we're saving the galaxy again?
Quill: I guess.
Rocket: Awesome. We'll really be able to jack up our prices if we're two time-galaxy savers.
Quill: I seriously can't believe that's where your mind goes.
Rocket: It was just a random thought, man! I thought we were friends! Of course I care about the planets, and the buildings, and all of the animals on the planets.
Blake: Yourself included?
Rocket: Shut up.
Quill: And the people.
Rocket: Meh.
Blake: Yeah. Didn't think so, either.
Mantis: The crabby puppy is so cute he makes me want to die!

We kept drilling.
Yondu: Tell me why Ego wants you here.
Quill: He needs my genetic connection to the light to help destroy the universe. He tried to teach me how to control the power.

I was confused.

Blake: I can't really say I'm surprised. Was a frisbee or a baseball set that hard to come up with? I fail to see where you're going with this.

We made it through the ore and to the center.
Mantis: There. That's Ego's core.
Blake: There it is. All we have to do is destroy that before he finds us and get before we're crushed. Sounds simple enough. Last words for anybody?
Gamora: That ore is thick, Rocket.
Rocket: I got it covered.
He activated the main blaster.
Mantis: We must hurry. It will not take Ego long to find us.
Rocket: Keep it steady.
Then we fired the laser.
Zoe: Seems simple enough. What could go wrong?
Quill: We drill into the center, we kill him.
"Captain?"
Blake: Is that Kraglin?
His voice came from the radio.
Yondu: Yeah, what is it, Kraglin?
Kraglin: Hey, remember that Ayesha chick?
Yondu: Yeah, why?
I saw them out the window.
Blake: That's why.
Yondu: Oh, no!
The Sovereign fleet we're closing in on us.
Blake: Taserface must've sent them our coordinates before the ship exploded.
We had to move.
Zoe, Drax, Gamora, and Mantis fell out the hole and landed on their feet.
Quill: Why aren't you firing the lasers?
Rocket: They blew out the generator. I think I packed a small detonator.
Nebula: A detonator's worthless without explosives.
Rocket: Well, we got these.
He held out the batteries.
Quill: Is that thing strong enough to kill Ego?
Rocket: If it is, it'll cause a chain reaction throughout his entire nervous system.
Quill: Meaning what?
Rocket: The entire planet will explode. We'll have to get out of here fast. I rigged a timer.
Quill: Go.
We all flew out and went though the hole.
Meanwhile, with Zoe, the ground began to glow.
Mantis: He's coming.
Drax: Didn't you say you could make him sleep?
Mantis: When he wants. He's too powerful. I can't.
Drax: You don't have to believe in yourself, because I believe in you.
All the sudden, he came towards them.
Mantis put her hand on the ground.
Mantis: SLEEP!
Then, everything calmed down.
Drax: I never thought she'd be able to do it with as weak and skinny as she appears to be.
Mantis: I don't know how long I can hold him.
Meanwhile, with us
Rocket shined a light where we made a hole.
Rocket: The metal's too thick. For the bomb to work, we'd actually need to place it on Ego's core. And our fat butts ain't gonna fit through those tiny holes.
Quill: Well
We all looked down a Groot, who was playing with a leaf on his shoulder.
Rocket: That's a terrible idea.
Quill: It's actually the best one we have.
Blake: He's the only one who can fit.
Rocket groaned.
Rocket: Unbelievable. Rocket, do this. Rocket, do that.
Quill: What a day, ay Blake?
Blake: Yep. Watch your six.
Then we flew in to attack.
