"Frank." He croaked, slipping his thin pale hand into mine. "She's gone."
Gerard looked so damaged, after all his grandma Elena had been very close to him. I pulled down next to me in bed and lay with him in my arms. "I-I don't know what to say." I whispered, sadness filling me. Everyone loved Elena. She was always extremely supportive of the band, she even helped buy our first trailer. Gerard choked back a sob. "Sshh. It's okay, she's in a better place now." I whispered, feeling a tear slide down my own cheek. "Yeah." Gerard whispered, curling closer and letting out a shaky sob. Soon his crying became uncontrollable and breathless. "Pass my my lyric book." He mumbled.
"Babe it's like 3am." I said, confused.
"It doesn't matter, I have inspiration. I have to do this for her." He replied, shakily wiping away tears that had fallen down his pale face. I nervously chewed on my lip ring before handing him the worn black book and a pen. "Thank you." He whispered in a sad voice before going silent and scribbling furiously.
At 6 am I was awoken by Gerard again. He was still crying but he had calmed down a bit. "Read this. I want to put it on the album." He said, laying down against me, burying his face in my neck. I scanned the lyrics and my jaw dropped. "Gee this is amazing!" I exclaimed. Gerard didn't hear he was already asleep on my chest. I smiled sadly and wrapped my arms around him, drifting into a light sleep.
