Drinking was something Slytherins did best at, honing it at their 3rd year in Hogwarts just as they got their first taste of freedom in Hogsmeade. Only that, his first taste of the addicting liquid was sweet and not at all bitter as what he was drinking now. He remembered that aftermath of the gruesome day of 3rd year, a week straight of being drunk, another week nursing his poor hang over. Some events blurry, but at some point he was sure that he wrestled an over grown Venus flytrap in the green house, and lost of course. Never the proudest memory, fabricated by his intoxication or not.

But the point was that, due to the nature of their tolerance for alcohol, they were somewhat able to tolerate its effects. At least to Theo's knowledge as he started his fun at 7pm just before the ball started. Stealing a bottle of Fire whiskey that he and Blaise have been saving for a rainy day, he suddenly had the craving of drinking the moment he saw Blaise pre gamed his snogging in their room.

Not really up to bother his friend about roommate decency, he walked out their dorm, walked out the dungeons, up the stairs to the astronomy room. Loosening his tie before opening the large whiskey bottle, each ten steps up the staircase was a long swig from the bottle until he arrived in the empty tower. He should be in the great hall right about now, he should be with his friends, he should be with his date— wait, what date?

He scoffed at himself as he sat down on the floor, with his feet close to the balcony edge of the tower, letting the cold winter breeze get to him. The idea of asking someone to the Yule ball was a joke, he didn't really intend to go with someone at all at first. It was of course until he met Heart, Finley's new friend, pretty and cheery, not annoying at all. Bonding over food and their innate curiosity for gossip around their respective schools. She was his first choice to ask to the ball, only he was too late that is, pesky ginger head Weasley twin got to her first.

Then there was Blaise, they both decided that it would be fine to go to the ball together, stag of course as what he, Blaise, and Finley agreed when they heard of the Tournament tradition. Only that Sebastian just had to ask Finley out that he and Blaise were pressured to get dates. Turns out that he was the only one without a date after all.

"Hey," a familiar voice spoke, catching hid attention, looking back towards the tower entrance, he could see Finley standing there. Face sad for some reason, his only guess was that Malfoy ruined her night.

"Hey," he greeted back, placing down the bottle he was about to drink from his lips, setting it on the floor. He could see that she was holding her shoes, her eyes welling up with unshed tears, knowing that she was trying to keep herself together as she was too stubborn to cry for anyone, especially Malfoy, that blond ferret shit.

She slowly walked towards him, setting down her shoes beside her. "Fire whiskey?" He offers her, handing her the bottle, watching her as she took a long swig from the bottle. "Have you been drinking alone for the whole evening?" Finley asks him.

"I haven't seen you in the great hall at all," she tells him. Making him force out a smile, a humourless smile.

"Been here since Blaise and his date had a pre snog in our dorm, took a bottle of fire whiskey from under the floor boards for good measure," he tells her, not telling her the whole truth that he didn't want to show up at the ball alone, and that mystery date he told them about was non existent. "I thought that I didn't want to be sober in there."

"I should've went with that too."

Letting the peaceful silence cover the both of them, Theo let Finley on his shoulder, having her head's weight kept him grounded. Keeping his mind from wandering into places he didn't really want to visit.

"Where have you been?"

Theo stopped in his tracks as he entered the common room. Seeing that the area had been mostly empty apart from the one male who sat on one of the emerald couches, wearing his dress shirt and slacks, two button of his shirt open. Sporting a scowl on his face, only a handful of times was that scowl ever purposely directed at him, this counted.

"I was with Finley," he shortly answers, taking off his tie and his robes completely.

"The whole evening?" Blaise raised his brow at him, if it wasn't for the fact that he was mildly drunk, he would've conjured a joke to ease away Blaise's wrath. But the part where he drank in itself, he didn't want to deal with all this.

"Yeah," he simply say, walking ahead to the dorms, stopping by the entrance to the dorms. Turning a side eye towards Blaise who looked like he was evaluating him, he doesn't know if he should be offended or not. "What?"

"Are you alright?"

'How could you tell?' He wanted to say, but didn't or else more questions would be flying from his best friend's mouth, he'd be too drunk to answer them.

"Yeah, mate. Why? Something wrong?" He asks him back in a light tone.

It didn't seem like it was enough to convince either of them that Theo dropped the act all together. Blaise's silence accompanied with a pointed look, it told him to fess up, but really there was nothing to fess up to.

What? Tell Blaise that he really didn't want to be in a ball when he was the one who didn't have a date? Even Weasley and Longbottom had dates, the humiliation that would bring him.

"Who did you stood up at the ball?" Blaise asks him, causing Theo tense up, unsure if he should be making up a name or what. The backlash of that is that Blaise knew everyone, either through flings, or through benefit buddies, or just past times, it was his reputation after all. What would Theo tell his best mate?

"No one," Theo truthfully says, looking down, no use in lying.

As if the night of him drinking alone would be enough to get him knocked out on his bed for a night's sleep, he was wrong. Wordlessly, Blaise went and opened that floor board for the second time that evening, taking another bottle from their whiskey stash. No words were needed to be exchanged as they sat by the indoor pool passing the bottle after a drink, why was Blaise drinking? Didn't he have a good night?

Perhaps not, as Theo sat beside him, watching his good friend drinking from the bottle as if he was drowning something with whiskey.

"I know you didn't ask anyone," Blaise started just after taking that long drink, catching Theo off guard.

He only stared at Blaise like a deer been caught by hunters, humiliated and surprised, yes. But how did he know?

"You should've told me, you know. I could've stood up Mildred for you mate."

"Her name was Pauline," Theo pointed out, not bothered by the fact that his good friend could easily forget a person's name he has been snogging the whole evening.

"Mildred, Pauline, sounds the same to me," Blaise waved it off with a grin on his lips.

"Those two names don't even remotely sound the same, you idiot," Theo rolled his eyes at Blaise, a grin starting to grow on his lips before taking his turn in the bottle. Falling into comfortable silence, he has been drinking his second bottle of whiskey for the night, and he doesn't at all seem drunk, and he wonders why. Even if was sharing it he would be drunk on instant, was his mind still sober perhaps?

"So, how was Pauline?" He asks Blaise, finally after a couple of seconds in silence. "I saw you snogging with her in the dorm, I'm surprised that you brought her in our room at all. I thought you don't bring girls on your bed."

"Well, technically. I was on snogging that girl on Malfoy's bed," Blaise mischievously grins, knowing well that if this information broke to the ferret faced blond, he would be demanding his father to burn the good bed that might've served generations to Slytherin students.

"The albino peacock of a father he has will go mad," Theo laughed along, oblivious to the gaze Blaise had been giving him.

Has Theo's jaw line always been this sharp?

'This is must be the liquor speaking,' Blaise scolded himself. His grin fading into a straight line as he watched Theo take a swig at the bottle they shared. Seeing an escaped drop of whiskey on the side of Theo's lips, he could see his Adam's apple bob up and down as he drank the whiskey.

It was Blaise's turn to gulp, shaking his head to clear it of any thoughts that involved Theo.

'I'm fucking drunk,' he concluded before turning to Theo, this time his cheeks were now pink. Guessing that he was finally drunk, but it certainly didn't help the dilemma the handsome one was having, seeing his friend bite his lip as he stared intently at him.

Blaise had always been the superior one in terms of physical relationships, he refuses to submit to anyone, much less play bottom to someone who was a few inches shorter than him.

But why?

Why was Theo a sudden exception?

"Hey, Blaise," Theo finally spoke after the intense staring he had given Blaise. "Will I remember this in the morning?" He asked.

"Remember what?" Blaise asked. Not noticing how both of them were being drawn closer by an unknown force. No words, just the both of them getting closer, and closer, and closer—

"We should stop here, don't you think?" Blaise managed out, his chest pounding for some goddamn reason. He wasn't sure anymore, what was this feeling?

"No," Theo answered, his hand finding itself holding the back of Blaise's neck, crashing their lips together. Shocking the other boy, eyes wide as he felt his friend's lips move on his, trying to find reason and resist. He couldn't find a single one, a million things could go wrong from this, and yet it felt so right, it was confusing.

With both arms now clasped around Theo's shoulders, Blaise suddenly had a wave of craving Theo's mouth that tasted like liquor. Addicting it was, and they couldn't get enough of, and it was scary if you think about it.

What would their families think?

Surely Blaise already had his reputation, but Theo didn't.

'Stop'

'Don't stop'

Two contradicting thoughts of two drunken minds.

If only they forgot it all in the morning.

Hi!

I accidentally deleted this, and I even edited it. Sorry about that. It's still the same content though, I just took out the last part.

Again, sorry 'bout that.
