Y/N pov:
Christmas soon came around and I untangled myself from my sleepy boyfriends arms. His face was pressed against my neck, his warm breath hitting it in rhythm. His arm was wrapped securely around my waist, as if not letting me go, almost protectively. Our legs were tangled together, his being placed over mine. His ginger hair was ruffled up, and in some parts stuck up, the others hanging low into his eyes. When I shifted, I had to be very careful and quiet, I didn't want to wake him up for what I was about to do. It was only seven in the morning, and he wouldn't wake up for at least another 30 minutes. That's when George came in to wake us, anyway, precisely 5 minutes before Molly would head over to wake the twins. This gave Fred enough time to go and get into his own bed, pretending that he had been there the whole night.
I got dressed in the dark, the light mornings were non-existent, and even at seven o'clock in the morning, the only light emitted was from the moon. That's when I took my opportunity, I took out a quill and parchment before messily scribbling a note:
Fred. I've gone out to do something. If my parents fine out, tell them I'm safe.
Love Y/N. Xxx
I took one last look at my adorable teddy bear, being Fred, and apperated. The feeling of dizziness, I had certainly not missed had returned. As I landed in front of a little house, with a freshly mowed lawn. The sign read, 4 Privet drive, I had no doubt that this was the house I needed to be at. Have it being seven in the morning, I didn't know what to expect and who might be awake. However, there was no car in the driveway, and I only hoped that they hadn't taken Harry with them. I clutched my wand behind my back, and walked up to the front door. I knocked loudly, announcing my presence, and almost instantly the door swung open.
A quivering boy stood in front of me, his hands trembling. I laughed to myself, he definitely remembered me. I mastered a smile as well as I could, if I was going to get Harry out of these place, I needed to at least be nice.
"Harry home?"
"Y..yes. H..have y..you got one of those stick things too?" The boy indicated to the wand I held, to which I thought was out of sight.
"Yes now may you please shout your cousin." I said sternly.
The boy instantly ran off, leaving the door wide open, and I could hear the faint shouts in the faded distance.
"Harry. There's a girl here. She's got a stick thingy like you."
"What? I'm coming." In a blink of an eye, I had the younger boy, I called my brother in my arms, hugging me tightly.
"Hey brother." I laughed.
"I've missed you. What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Well it's Christmas Day, so I'm here to take you where you belong. Missed Sirius?" I say.
"What? Really? I get to stay with you and him?" The boy said happily.
"And all the Weasleys, and my uncle Remus, and a girl names Tonks sometimes comes, she's my cousin. Oh and Hermione will be arriving at some point this morning." I say.
"But what about what Molly and Remus said? About me having to stay here?" He questioned.
"Look Potter, grab your shit, tell that strange cousin of yours that you'll not be back till summer, and get your arse over here so I can apperate you. I'll take the blame." I ordered.
He gave me a huge grin and ran back into the house to grab his things.
"Ready?" I asked, when he returned.
"As I'll ever be. Does it hurt?" He asked worriedly.
"Just makes you a little dizzy, that's all. You'll be fine. When we get there, I'll have apperated into my bathroom, you've got to stay there, until I make sure the others are in the kitchen, then I'll come and get you. Alright?"
"Alright."
I held out an arm, which he took straight away, not even looking back at his 'home', even though it wasn't much of one to him.
When we arrived in my bathroom, Harry lunged over to the toilet, and it was fairly obvious what he had, had for dinner last night. Not very appetising, that's for sure.
"Shit. I'm so sorry Y/N," he said, he looked genuinely embarrassed.
"Hey, don't sweat it, it happens to all of us first time. Now you stay here and puke your guts up, I'll come and get you in a minute."
I walked out of the room, to see the bed messy, the note I had left gone, along with Fred. He must be downstairs. The corridors were silent, and I heard panicked voices coming from downstairs.
'I need to find her'
'We will have to send out the order'
'She's going to be alright Fred, don't worry she's tough'
'She could be dead!'
'Sirius, don't be stupid, she's not dead'
I thought this was rather funny, so when I entered the room to see all but Fred and my dad sat at the table. I couldn't hold my laughs. Fred and dad were pacing in the same way, head in their hands, they hadn't even noticed me come in.
I took this as an opportunity to mess with them, and began making ghost noises, strutting around the room. The younger kids, including George of course, found this rather amusing, the adults not so much.
Within seconds I was securely wrapped in Freds arms where I felt his breathing had increased from what it was normally. My dad and Molly, well, they looked a little angry with me. Oops.
"Where the hell have you been?" My dad said sternly.
Fred released me from my arms as if to say, 'I love you, but your on your own.'
"Well?" My dad was falling impatient, I'd never seen him so angry.
"Would you believe me if I said I'd been for a walk?"
"You tell me the truth young lady, or mark my words." He threatened
I gulped, "fine I'll tell you. But can you please stay open minded. I want to live until my 18th."
I wondered out of the room without explanation and went to fetch Harry. He had finally stopped throwing up, and walked down the stairs with me. I bent down so I was slouched, "jump on." I laughed.
He obeyed, and god was he heavy. I had no idea why we were doing this, but may as well make a good entrance if it were to be our last.
When I reached the door, I swung the door open forcefully, "introducing, god brother, Harry!" I laughed, spinning him around on my back.
Everyone ran to greet Harry, even dad, who Harry seemed most happy to see. When the greetings had stopped, I knew my dad was about to blow.
"Y/N! GROUNDED!" He screamed.
I tried not to laugh, I really did but couldn't help myself.
"Grounded. What am I supposed to do ungrounded?" I laughed. I heard the twins and even Bill and Mr Weasley snigger, but then others seemed to watch in fear.
My dad looked so mad so I continued, "relax. I got permission. I owled Dumbledore, and he said, it was safe for me to get Harry. I apperated to fetch him, left Fred a note and apperated back. We were safe the whole time, and the only person who saw us was Dudley, Harry's brat of a cousin. I wasn't going to let him spend Christmas in that dreaded house, look how skinny he is."
Sirius let out a huff, "come here."
Wearily, I walked over to him, and flinched when he put his arms around me. I honestly thought he might flip at me, "I'm going to talk to Y/N upstairs for a moment, please excuse us, and Harry, help yourself to some food."
He lead me to my room, where he sat on my bed, no evidence left of having Fred there.
"Y/N. Why did you just flinch when I hugged you?" He asked calmly.
"Oh it's nothing." I lied.
"You didn't think I'd hit you?"
"No of course not. It's just, it's what I'm used to. I know you wouldn't do that dad, it's just a natural reaction for me."
He instantly looked so down, to the point where I could see tears release from his eyes.
"Dad. It's fine. I know what your thinking. And it's not your fault. You did what you thought was best for me, and I will be forever grateful for that." I said hugging him.
"I'm sorry." He cried, tears steaming down his face, I had no excuse but to join him. I don't cry very often but for some reason, I couldn't help myself. I guess the reason why I don't cry, was because I thought it made you weak. I know it doesn't, and I know it's healthy to cry sometimes, but I would always feel so embarrassed.
After a few minutes, we had dried our tears, but our eyes remain puffy. We headed back downstairs to join the general conversation where people were sat eating at the dinner table. I didn't fancy anything for breakfast, and I hoped that I hadn't fallen into my old habit of skipping meals, but I promised myself that I'd eat lunch, it's only breakfast, right?
As we entered the room, everybody looked up from where they were sitting, and Fred noticed the tears in my eyes, he jumped up immediately, embracing me in a hug.
"Are you alright love?"
"Yes, Freddie."

Freds pov:
"PRESENT TIME!"
Everyone had crowded in large living room, and I had to resist the urge not to pull Y/N onto my knee, like I normally would. Maybe Sirius wouldn't mind? I'm not sure, so I think I'll let Y/N make the first move. That's when it hit me, it's Y/N's first proper Christmas, her first one with her family. As last year, she was in her dream sleep for months.
I take a seat on to the couch, George by my side as usual, and our remaining family and friends joining us. Y/N walks up to me, and sits on my lap, which I happily let her. Remus and Sirius share a stern look towards me, but Y/N just rolls her eyes at the pair, and places a hand on my thigh, making me shudder at the sudden touch.
People had begun handing out the many presents that were crowded in the corner. I was nervous, I had gotten Y/N a ring, a promise ring, was it too early? Probably. After all, we had only been dating around a month now, but it felt that we'd been together years. It was different from when I dated another girl, she was mine, and I was hers, we were each others laughter, happiness and stability. We were meant to be with one another, and although we were moving fast, I don't see why I can't show the love for my girl.
I leaned down to whisper into Y/N's ear, "I'll show you your present later love."
She muttered a quick, "same." Before her attention was grabbed by her dad calling her name.
He walked over towards her, and handed her a box. Opening it, I saw the pools of water threaten to form in her eyes. The box revealed a photo, her and her dad, being only a baby, laughing giddily as he held her in her arms.
"It's wonderful dad. I love it, thank you."
"Thank you for my gifts too Y/N, you didn't have to do all that for me." Her dad says.
"Well actually, I've got another gift for you, and I just hope it's alright." She stutters. Even I didn't know about this present, so when her dad looks to me with a questioning glance, I simply shrug my shoulders, indicating I have no idea.
Y/N pulls out a piece of paper from the back of her pocket, handing it over to the man. His eyes follow the paper and his eyes well up with water, as he drops to his knees.
People start passing the paper around the room, and when I finally get a chance to look at it, I understand the situation. And why Y/N and Sirius are hugging each other tightly, beaming .
Y/N Wood, has legally changed her birth name, to
Miss Y/N Lily Black.
Signed,
Y/N.

Y/N pov:
Time skip.
I was sat on my bed, as Fred nervously stood in front of me, crouching down to my level. I notice him shaking out of nerves and so place a hand on his shoulder.
That's when it happens, he pulls out a ring, a silver ring engraved with Y/I and F. I hold my breath, surely he wasn't asking me to marry him. I'd want nothing more than to one day, but we'd been dating less than a month.
He seems to notice my flustered expression as he lets out a soft chuckle, "before you get too panicked, no, I'm not proposing. However, what I am doing, is promising. This is my promise to you, Y/N Black, that I will stick by you through thick and thin, because I love you more than anything in the world and will always continue to do so. I've asked myself if this is too soon, and I know we've been together a month, but god Y/N, it feels like years. So here's my promise to you." He slips the ring on my finger and I immediately jump into his arms, clinging on for dear life, kissing him passionately.
It soon becomes time for my gift, and so I hold out a piece of parchment, he looks at it confused. It's obvious as he reads it, it becomes more apparent as to what it is, when a big smile forms on his face. I had gotten him and George a company name, which meant that no one could take their products away from them, or sell them as there own.
"I know it's not much, but I thought it would help you out that's all." I say quietly.
"It's amazing! Thank you love. Me and George were actually looking into this.
God I love you."
"I love you Freddie, always."
