Realizing the words that came out of your mouth you sit up and move out of his hold. He's still trying to catch his breath as you straighten your clothes. You move away from him, trying to create space between you. You were feeling vulnerable, exposed. And like you'd just betrayed Tyler with just a few words.

"I'll, um, see you in class Professor Hotchner." You keep your eyes trained on the ground.

"Wait, Aisha. Don't go yet." He reaches for you and you dodge his hand, backing up. You wonder how many of these books he's actually read.

"This was a mistake; I need to go." You look around his office, anywhere but then at him.

"We're both adults and we've both wanted this from the moment we met, how is that a mistake?"

You think you detect a sadness in his voice and something inside of you twists. This is why you didn't let yourself feel. Guilt courses through you. Your thoughts are consumed with Tyler. But that was none of his business and if you told him, he'd start the pity party. "It just is." You say simply, shaking your head.

"Well, your mistake has something for you." He glares at you as he opens the top drawer of his desk and pulls out a book. You instantly recognize it, it's Sylvia Plath: The Collected Poems.

"How did you-"

"In your survey you said you liked to read and write poetry. And that if you could have one thing it would be this book." He shrugs, trying to look nonchalant.

The survey he'd given everyone that asked about interests, weakness, strengths. He was using that to get to you.

"Aaron-"

"I don't know what I've done to make you so disgusted with me, but I still want you to have it. I'll leave you alone." He walks over to you and holds the book out.

"You don't disgust me, Aaron." You run a hand through hair in frustration. You hate that you cared about hurting his feelings.

"Then what is it with all this back and forth?" He's right in front of you now, you can feel the heat radiating from his body. And you know you shouldn't be turned on, you shouldn't want to kiss him again, but you do want that.

"I'm damaged goods." You look up at him, your eyes meeting his. They're soft and full of concern, and that scares you. You didn't want him to care about you like that.

"So am I, so screw it." He throws his hands up. Curiosity flares in you but you quickly beat it down.

"We shouldn't." You're taking steps back as he leans in closer to you.

"Tell me you don't want me inside of you again." He's backed you against the wall now, the two of you are nose to nose.

"I...Aaron..." You can't get the words out, the smell of his cologne and the intense look in his eyes are making your thoughts scramble.

"Tell me you don't get turned on every time you see me." He's teasing you now.

"I can't, I would be lying." You say in a hushed voice. It was true. That was some of the best sex of your life and you wanted it again. He didn't have to do anything to get you hot and bothered, he just had to be him. But there was something else there too and you weren't ready to think about it just yet.
