*Sam's POV*

We walk into my house and my mom greets us right away.

"Hi Sam- Oh, who's this?" she asks.

"Mom, this is my friend Alyssa."

"Nice to meet you Alyssa!" she says.

"Nice to meet you too!" Alyssa says.

I grab Alyssa's hand and lead her upstairs.

I hear the door close downstairs, which means my mom just left for work.

I lead Alyssa into the family room we have upstairs.

"Ok, you can just chill here. I have to jump in the shower and get ready."

"Ok" Alyssa says smiling.

Her smile is perfect.

I head to the bathroom and jump in the shower.

I get out ten minutes later and I run into my room.

I hear laughing downstairs, so I guess Jack and Jess are here.

I change into my clothes as fast as I can and run downstairs.

*Alyssa's POV*

I heard a knock at the door so I got up and answered it thinking it was Jess and Jack Johnson.

"Hey gu- Oh sorry I thought you were someone else. Can I help you?"

I've never seen this guy before. He's really attractive. God are all the guys from Omaha this attractive?

"My name's Nate, and you are?"

"Alyssa, Sam's friend."

"Oh cool. Is Sam here?"

"Yeah he's in the shower."

"Ok, I'll just come in and wait for him then."

"Uh, yeah sure."

Was Sam expecting this kid? Why the fuck are all of Sam's friends so damn hot? Jesus Christ.

All of a sudden there's another knock at the door, so I get up and open it.

"Alyssa! What's up?"

"Hey Jack, uh, w-what are you doing here?"

"Sam invited me over. He said we're going ice skating or something."

"Um, ok. I'll be right back."

I run up the stairs to try and find Sam, and I didn't even realize he was coming down the stairs until it was too late. We both collided. Somehow Sam managed to save both of us from falling. He had one arm around me and the other around the railing.

"Nice catch."

"Thanks. I heard voices, are Jess and Johnson here?"

"Why do you call him Johnson?"

" Everyone calls him Johnson and they call the other Jack, Gilinsky."

"Oh, well Jess and Johnson aren't here, but there's some guy named Nate down there."

"Nate's here?"

"Yeah, oh and so is Gilinsky."

As soon as I said that I removed Sam's arm from my waist and walked back downstairs.

"Oh shit. Alyssa wait!" Sam says rushing after me.

"Save it Sam, I don't want to hear it. I'm going home and don't you dare try to stop me."

"Alyssa come on, I invited all of my friends. Jack is still my friend, just because you two don't get along doesn't mean I'm going to stop being his friend."

"I get it Sam, you don't have to explain yourself. I just don't want to see him right now. Tell Jess and Johnson I said sorry. I'll text you later."

I kissed Sam's cheek and walk towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Jack asks.

"Um, I-I don't feel good so I'm going to go home."

"Are you really sick? Or do you just not want to be stuck with me all day?"

"I'm not going to do this right now."

"Do what Alyssa? All we're doing is talking."

"Goodbye Jack."

I try to walk out but he slams the door and pushes me up against it.

"Why are you acting like this?"

"Like what Jack?"

"You're kind of acting like a bitch."

I can not believe he just said that. Jack Gilinsky just called me a bitch.

"Whatever."

I pushed him off of me and walked out the door.

Shit. I didn't drive here.

Sam walks out 2 minutes later.

"Need a ride?"

"Yeah, I kind of forgot I came here with you. I'm sorry."

"it's fine. I should've told you that I invited Jack. Do you want me to stay with you at your house?"

"No, go have fun with everyone and just text me when you guys are done and we'll hang out."

We get into Sam's car and continue the conversation.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

"Now I feel bad."

"Sam, don't worry about it, I hate ice skating anyways."

"How did you know we we're going ice skating?"

"Jack told me."

"Oh."

We pull into my driveway and he parks the car.

"I'll call you as soon as we're done ice skating."

"I'll talk to you later then."

I kiss Sam on the cheek and walk into my house.
