Chapter 36

After Sam and I finished watching Annabelle he got up and turned the lights back on.

"That was the scariest movie I've ever seen" he says as he hops back onto the bed.

"Yeah that was pretty scary. You scream like a little girl" I say laughing.

"Don't judge me" he says laughing.

"I was just making a statement."

"And you were judging me."

"Whatever" I say still laughing.

He grabs me and pulls me into a hug.

"Ok, so what do you want to do now?" he asks.

"I don't know. I really just want to go home."

"You only have to be here for a few more hours princess."

"I know. Sam can I tell you something?"

"Sure, what's up?"

"I just want to thank you for always being there for me."

"You're welcome. I'm glad I can be here for you. And I promise I'll try not to let my feelings get in the way of our friendship."

"Sam, I don't want you to feel like you have to pretend to be someone you're not. I'm just telling you now though, I will not be getting into any kind of relationship any time soon."

"It's ok. I promise I won't try to make you fall in love with me" he says jokingly.

"Oh, shut up" I say playfully hitting his arm.

"Oh come on, you know you I'm just playin'."

"I know, I know."

"Ok, but seriously what do you want to do now?"

"I don't know. What time is it?"

"It's like almost 9 o'clock."

"Oh my god, it's that late already?"

"Yeah."

"I thought it was only like 5."

"Nope. That was like 4 hours ago."

"Wow, I really need to stop sleeping all day."

"Yeah you do. I miss spending time with you. Every time I tried to come visit you, you were sleeping."

"Aw Sam, now I feel bad."

"Don't feel bad. I'm glad you're getting your rest."

He grabs my hand and holds it in his.

"Let's just watch another movie."

"Ok" Sam says kissing my forehead as he grabs the remote.

We start to watch The Dark Knight, and I fall asleep in Sam's arms.
