The clock had hit midnight a while ago. Your birthday was over. Faintly, you could hear the clock chiming from inside the house. 4am. The cold grass licked your feet as you sat down, the steady cold air blowing against your face and through your hair. It was so familar.
"Too familiar," you thought, rubbing the ground with your fingertips. Your hands were scarred and worn from years of doing your job, but your face remained youthful. Yes, you were young, but the employment you were in took a lot out of someone.
You had been here so long you weren't sure if you were still human.
It didn't feel like it. You felt lighter, and you needed to eat and drink a lot less. You could go days without eating or drinking and not even feel hungry or thirsty. Slenderman had not only been eating the souls of the humans you slayed, but also had been clawing away at your own humanity slowly.
"What are you thinking about?" You looked up to see Toby had approached you. Beside him strode your dog, Diego. He wasn't a puppy anymore, and had scars on his face, legs, everywhere. When you stroked him, you could feel his bones that were hidden by his thick fur. The same had happened to him.
"Slenderman slowly turns us into monsters, doesn't he?" You asked, looking at the proxy. He snorted, sitting down and looking at you with his deep, empty eyes.
"You're long gone from redemption, Y/N. You know that." He responded, flicking your cheek as if you had asked something stupid.
"No, really. I don't feel human anymore. It's true, isn't it?" You sternly looked back at him, and Toby nodded.
"well, yeah. There's no use for us being human anymore. Actually, it happened to you quicker than we expected." Toby responded, then continued when he saw your confused expression, "Normally it takes longer than a few years. Maybe a decade. It's probably all the visits to the doctor. The shit Dr. Smiley pumps into us when he's treating us heals us faster, but also changes us quicker."
"So he was shooting hardcore ketamine into me when I first got here? That explains why I tried to throw down with Slender and his weird ass tentacles." You muttered, and Toby let out a shaky chuckle.
"You tried to fight Slenderman? You surprise me everyday." Toby looked at you oddly, and you both went quiet for a second, "I'm glad you came here."
"I'm glad too. As much as life has been going downhill lately, I don't know where I'd be if I was without you guys. Probably dead in a ditch or in a jail cell." You glanced behind you into the house, Toby had left the door wide open. Faintly you could see the TV flashing, presumably BEN playing video games. It was weird, thinking how Jeff was usually always there with him. And now he had betrayed them all, for you. And then disappeared into the night.
"come on, you'll freeze out here." Toby helped you up and led you inside, Diego following. You heard the door close, and headed for the stairs. "Y/N?"
You turned to look at Toby, and tilted your head.
"Sup?" You responded.
"...Nevermind." Toby said, and he seemed confused, as if even he didn't know why he had called out for you. With a shrug, you made your way upstairs, passing small groups of creepypastas chatting.
You attempted to avoid them as you headed for the proxy hallway, and let yourself into your room. Disappointingly, there was already someone in there waiting for you.
"Fuck you want, you ugly shit?" You snapped, heading to the bathroom. Homicidal Lou sat up from where he was sat and clicked his tongue.
"That's no way to talk to me~" he purred as you changed into your pjs, a white t-shirt and shorts. You exited again and glared at him.
"I can talk to you however I want, considering your brother fucked us all over." You responded, heading for your desk. Lou grabbed your hand and pulled you in, and you retracted it swiftly.
"Don't be like that! You used to be so smiley all the time, where'd my pretty girl go?" Lou whined as you sat down beside him, but left plenty space.
"what is this, a fucking Salvos? You don't own me, stitch face. Don't make me kick you out." You snapped as he moved closer, nuzzling his head into your shoulder. His brown hair tickled your neck, and you snickered at reflex.
"You wouldn't do that. You love me, don't you, Y/N?" You quickly shoved his head away, and he tutted, "you're no fun."
"Go do something useful, like find your brother so I can snap his neck like a fucking chicken." You got up and walked to your bed, preparing it for you to slip into. You just wanted some fucking sleep.
"I'm only playing! Don't be so boring. C'mere~" Lou held his arms out for you, a smirk on his face. You glared right back at him, then approached. He pulled you into his lap and nuzzled your chest with his head again, and you rolled your eyes.
"Is that all you wanted? A cuddle?" You asked, slightly amused.
"I'm not like the others, you know. I like a bit of affection."
"Oh, you're one of THOSE people. I'm not like the other boys, I listen to Tame Impala and skate!" You teased, and Lou scowled.
"Meanie." He pouted.
"Tell me about it, I'm horrible." You grabbed Lou's wrists and threw them off, then got up. "Okay, now out."
"What? Only a five second cuddle? You're so cold!" Lou sniffled dramatically as you opened your bedroom door and motioned for him to leave.
"Go." You hid a smile, and he got up and walked to the door.
"Oh, happy birthday, by the way." He kissed your forehead on his way out, and you blushed slightly.
"My birthday was yesterday!" You called after him, then slammed and locked your door.
You headed towards your bed and slipped inside, feeling Diego's fur against your feet as you rested your head down and drifted to sleep.

With a groan, you woke up with a pounding headache. You did usually. Sitting up, you grabbed a bottle of water by your bed and your packet of painkillers and popped one in your mouth. It slid down your throat with a gulp of water, then you laid in bed until the pain subsided. Getting up, you headed to the bathroom and splashed cold water on your face, and started brushing your teeth.
"Yo, Y/N!" You almost choked on your toothbrush as Sam popped his head through your mirror, and was hit with a spray of saliva and toothpaste froth.
"Sam! I don't feel like practicing my deepthroating this morning, you bastard," you growled through a full mouth, and continued to brush your teeth as he wiped his face.
"Heh, sorry. It's just you normally wake up around 8 and... well it's nearly 5pm. I was worried." Sam turned his face towards you as he stepped out of your mirror, his reflective eyes shining back at you.
"Ah shit. Well, I was up until past midnight last night, cut me some slack." You waved your hand dismissively after spitting into the sink, then you started washing your face.
"We're planning on going out tonight, wanna come?" Sam suddenly asked, and you looked at him with a surprised look.
"Me? Damn, everyone has been telling me how painfully boring I am lately. Woe is me! People don't like my company! Like I'm trying to impress them, fucking loonie bastards." You grumbled half to yourself, but Sam still chuckled.
"Woah there tiger! Yeah, we want you there. You're the life of the party, N/N!" Sam rested his head on your shoulder and watched as you rinsed off your face wash, giving you the best puppy eyes he could.
"Okayyy, since you guys are feeding my god complex. I'll come." You grinned and Sam clapped his hands excitedly.
"Awesome! I mean, cool. I'll see you in a bit then." He hopped back on your bathroom counter and sat half in your mirror, shyly hesitating. "Love you~"
"Love you too, Sam. Now get your Jack Frost lookin ass out of my bathroom! I gotta piss." You grinned as he blushed and leant back into your mirror, disappearing.
You quickly did your business, then stripped down and hopped in the shower. As soap suds washed down your hair and skin, you thought. Did they really want you there? The only people who had called you boring were Toby and Lou, and they aren't exactly the best sources of information. One biased proxy bitchface and the brother of Jeff The Killer. Yeah, not very reliable. And plus, you were still grieving over, well, everything. You had lost your best friend, and your siblings. Who could blame you?
You hopped out of the shower and quickly dried yourself, putting on your (F/C) underwear and heading into your room. You sat in front of your mirror with your makeup bag emptied out in front of you. You loved putting on makeup, doing your face up, the beautiful art of eyeshadow and eyeliner, the confidence after. Not the mention blending your foundation out with your sponge was sort of satisfying. You set out doing your makeup, and chose (F/C) eyeshadow to go beneath yo ur eye, grey eyeshadow on your lid and black eyeliner. You decided to go without blush, it made you look edgier. After doing your makeup, you did the best you could with your hair. After all, it had been cut in prison by those random bitches who you quickly dealt with. Then you chose an outfit. You decided to go with a skin-tight black dress, with a (F/C) belt decorated with chains, fishnet sleeves and stockings, (F/C) lace-up boots and a choker that had chains dangling off of it along with a star charm.
After getting ready, you exited your room, coincidentally just as Toby was. He looked at you, surprised. He was dressed up too, black jeans, black boots, a brown sweater with a shirt underneath and the sleeves rolled up, and was wearing a bit of eyeliner and foundation.
"Oh, I didn't know you were coming." He said, looking you up and down. You felt a bit hurt.
"Yeah, thanks for inviting me, dickhead." You clicked your tongue at him mockingly and made your way down the stairs. You heard Toby mutter behind you, then hurry to catch up.
"Come on, I didn't mean it like that. You know I didn't. Hey!" He grabbed your arm and you snatched it away quickly and grabbed his wrist, yanking him in close, "Y-Y/N!"
"Don't grab me like that or I'll rip your throat out." you snapped, then let him go. He seemed a bit shocked, and flushed in embarrassment. You felt guilty quickly, and sighed, "Sorry. I just have a thing about being grabbed."
"yeah, I know. I just... Forgot. Sorry." Toby bit his lip, then blinked his brown eyes and his face went back to default. "anyway, you look nice."
"I could say the same about you. Makeup looks nice on you." You smiled as you both walked down the stairs.
"I like wearing it to go out. I feel pretty." Toby responded, and you giggled.
"Yeah, same. I'm kinda jealous at how good you are at blending your eyeliner though." You pouted, and Toby huffed in a way that seemed like a laugh.
The two of you got into the living room where everyone else was, and Toby looked at you.
"Wanna be my party buddy?" he asked.
"what's that?"
"We just stick together and make sure we don't do stupid shit."
"Oh, for sure. I already know I'm boutta get more fucked up than Jeff's face."
Toby huffed again, and the two of you headed into the living room together to talk to your fellow creepypastas.
