JACKIES POV
The whole night we couldnt sleep. the nurses kept on coming throughout the whole night so I could feed the baby, the good thing was that the baby got both the formula and my breast which made it easy for Luke to help me out at night even if he got pissed because we didnt let him sleep.
The morning came and I was tired, Luke was sleeping while I changed the baby into a cute outfit
I wasn't that worried about the DNA results either or I will be fine with whatever it is
the nurse walks in quietly and checks every monitor on me
"how are you feeling?" she asks
"good still sore but good" i smile
"you and the baby are both doing very good and the doctor said you can leave today but I need you to fill out the birth certificate for me"
"uhm is there any way I can sign it as a single parent while we get the results?" i ask
"you can put your last name and just sign under mother and for the father or any changes we can process it later if you like"
I nod and fill out everything
"Michael James Vasquez" i smile and sign the birth certificate
"perfect, I will just need to get some release papers and you'll be ready to go by Noon" she says
i nod "thank you"
I play with baby Michael and he laughs, oh my god he has a little dimple
the door swings open and in walks my parents and Katie
they each have gifts , my mom has flowers and balloons, my dad has balloons and a gift bag and Katie has more balloons and a cute carseat
"surprise" they say
i laugh and smile "Lukes asleep" my moms face drops
"mom please dont start anything yeah?"
she took a deep breath and nods
My dad never knew much into the whole Luke story, he's never been the judging kind not like that, hes tough and all but he treated people fairly equal unless you gave him a reason to treat you like shit
"did he stay the whole night?" mom asks
i nod "he's been here through everything"
she frowns "I wish I was too baby but i couldnt get out of work until visiting hours were over"
"mom its fine"
they all show me their gifts and I thank them, i totally forgot about the car seat
"let me carry my grandbaby" my mom says without giving me a chance to pass him to her she just gets him and cuddles him
"he is so beautiful" the three of them say
Luke awkwardly wakes up "uhh morning" he says
my mom doesnt say anything
"morning" dad and Katie say
he sits next to me and kisses my forhead "have they brought you your breakfast already?" he asks
i shake my head "not yet"
"they were suppose to bring it at 8 and its 9" he's getting mad
"Luke its fine"
he puts his shoes on and excuses himself
i sigh
"is he mad?" Katie asks
