Chapter 24

There stands Luke
Staring at us without blinking
I quickly push Michael off and put my shirt back on
Luke slams the door and walks back out of the apartment
I see Michael smile a bit
"Uh back to the speech" I make my way to the table and sit back down
"Sorry about that" he says
"It's fine but let's not confuse this okay? we still have a lot of stuff to fix between us, but we can be friends if that's okay I mean "
"As long as it's while we work up to our relationship again, yes anything you want " he says
I smile and thank him
After a few minutes we came up with a intro to the speech
"First off i'd like to welcome parents, family and friends to this lovely graduation ceremony.
My fellow classmates today is the day, the day we make all these 12 years worth it, the day we no longer have to count down each class period for freedom. We did it, it's been a few long hard working years but we finally did it. Today is proof that working hard towards something helps you achieve your lifetime goals, but we couldn't have done it without our teachers who help and guide us the right direction along with our parents who have Been supportive through everything. It seems like yesterday we were freshmen scared of what to expect from the new school and new people.... "
"I think it sounds good so far" I say
"Agreed" Michael leans on his chair and stares at the paper
"Just don't forget to add Atleast a little about your experience throughout high school" he says
I nod
"Thanks"
By the time I look at the clock it's passed 3
The door opens and in walks Genesis and Calum
Genesis noticed Michael next to me and smiles
What happens when your sister just knows half the story ...
"Uh well I have to go" Michael gets up and and kisses my cheek "I'll see you later and Goodluck " I walk him out the apartment and shut the door
"Are you guys back together? " Gen asks
"No no no no way Nope, he was just helping me with my speech" I say
"I guess"
"Where are the guys? They said they would be here " Calum asks
"I don't know they kicked me off the balcony then left" I shrug
"Alright well I'll start making dinner" he says
"Do you need help?" I ask
He quickly shakes his head
"I've heard enough of your cooking experiences, you're banned from the kitchen" he laughs
"What! That's not even true I am a decent cook!" I turn to Gen
"Decent enough to burn your eggs , hash brown, make raw chicken-"
"Okay! We get it" I cross my arms and pout at her
"I have to talk to you about something" she says
I nod and she drags me to the living room
"I told Calum about Luke" she says
"Why?" I ask
"It's only fair that he knows since you both will be around here, he said he will talk to Ashton about him too" she takes a deep breath "he has been staying here because apparently he's homeless right now so Calum doesn't want him here anymore" she says
I knew he was having place problems but I didn't expect him to be completely homeless
"No! That can't happen! Luke needs it much more than I do! If something I'll leave but not him!"
"Don't be stupid he-"
I interrupt her "he didn't do anything! you only know what mom knows but nothing else, hell none of you know the real story !"
"Then tell me!"
I sigh "you have to promise you won't say anything to our parents "
She nods
I lay back on the couch and tell her everything , the parties, the cheating from both me and Michael, the escape, the kidnap, the bonfire , just about everything that happened since I met Luke
Thinking back to it, it has been a week and all of this happens
"That fucking asshole!" She yells "and I smiled at him when I came in! Fucking Michael is done! Luke I don't know if I should hate him or thank him!" She says
i roll my eyes
"this is why i dont want to get back with Michael until we fix and figure out everything" i say
she nods "I have to talk to Calum again then"
"yeah.."
she gets up and makes her way to the kitchen
i look at the clock and 3:30 flashes over it
its too early to be sitting around doing nothing
I can hear Calum and Genesis talking about the whole situation
just thinking about everything makes me dizzy
my life was good, my grades were perfect
Everything was beyond good I haven't even made a Uni decision yet

I snap out of my thought as the door opens
Ashton pokes his head in and looks around
His eyes land on me and sneaks his head back out the apartment leaving the door open
5 seconds later him and Luke walk in
Luke doesn't even look at me
"Stay here" Ashton tells Luke
Luke rolls his eyes as Ashton walks to what I guess is his room
"Food is read-oh" Gen says as she walks out the kitchen "babe Luke and Ashton are here already!" She yells
"The food is ready!!?" Ashton storms out his room and into the dining room
"Damn" I laugh
Who would've thought that food made this boy so happy
I sit across from Ashton , Luke sits besides him
Genesis sits besides me and Calum sits on her other side
We all grab a plate and dig in
"This absolutely amazing" Ashton says
"Thank mate" calum winks at Gen
"It's alright " I say
Luke smirks
Calum rolls his eyes and laughs
I examine Cal, once his mouth is full I take advantage to ask him something
"Hey Calum are you daddy AF?" I smile
He nearly chokes on his food and I can't help but burst out laughing
