As soon as i got home i spent hours thinking about everything
Talking to my mom and sister for advice
They both said the same thing " forget both of them" although my mom was leaning more towards Michael like always
Its 1am , ive been texting Michael for two hours convincing him to let me go to his run tomorrow... Well technically today
He finally gave in
Its my turn to prove to him that i really want to make this work
Maybe i shouldnt but i really want to
I lay down under the covers just thinking about possible outfits to wear for this event, ive seen so many fast and furious movies with Michael all the girls that go dress all prosty , Michael likes that... But not my style.. How about the blue crop top i have with high wasted nope not going to work its dirty and i dont want to wash
Thinking about more outfits i ended up knocking out
Later that morning i wasnt in the mood to talk to anyone
I ended up ordering pizza and avoiding my mom and sister
Apparently tomorrow we were having family dinner again, which i dont know why if we had it two weeks ago
I grabbed my phone and texted Michael
See you tonight? xx
No reply
I walk to my closet and pull off a few outfits
I dont want to make it seem like im trying too hard .. Wait i actually am
What the hell Michael has seen me at my worst it really shouldnt matter
I settle for my high wasted pants and a simple tucked in red shirt
The sound of a new message notification fills my room
I really need to lower that volume
I grab my phone expecting a message from Michael but i was wrong
It was a message from Ashton
What the hell does he want
From Ashton:
Hey babe you free tonight?
Yeah like thats going to happen.
I distract myself for a few hours
Still no message from Michael
The race starts at 9pm
It is now 6pm
Which means i need to sleep to make time pass because no friends,no hobby, no boyfriend or anything gets very boring
Another message notification comes in
From Michael:
Hey sorry i was trying to practice for tonight
Yeah i really hope you come
Burgers after?
I love you..
My heart beats fast at those last words
I smile to myself and try napping
I wake up 20 minutes before 9pm
I rush to put my shoes on and grab my phone
I had 4 missed calls from Michael and 1 unknown
He wouldnt answer his phone right now so i text him
Fell asleep on my way now
I say my goodbyes to my mom and run to my car
If i miss one minute of michaels first race ill be pissed
I drive to the address michael texted earlier
The parking spot is full
This has illegal written all over it
I walk a good 5 minutes to the area
The music getting louder and louder
I thought it would be like fast and furious movies but its actuall chilled and decent
You wouldve spotted michael by his hair but in this place people have crazy hair
After a few minutes of searching i found Michaels parents standing on a pickup trunk
I walk towards them and wave at them
"Jackie! You made it!"
Michaels mom pulls me up to the trunk and hugs me
"Michael was waiting for you" she smiles
I smile back at her "where is he anyways?" I ask
"Here"
I turn around and notice michael standing right behind me
My smile widens "hi! Are you ready?" I ask him
"Always" he says in his cocky voice
I laugh "right"
A girl announces the next race
"Niall Horan, Michael Clifford! To your cars!" She says
Michael turns to me and smiles "thats my cue"
I nod "be careful yeah?"
I nods "i will" he hugs his parents
"Win it for me yeah?" I kiss his cheek
"For you"'he smiles
The crowd gets closer to the assigned cars
Michael was in his already
The other guy Nigel or something was hot
Blonde quiff, amazing blue eyes , he was hot
He got in his car and turns on the engine
My nerves were all over the place
I just wanted this to be over with, I have never seen Michael do anything like this
"On your marks" the girl walks inbetween the cars
"Get set!" She holds the flags up
"Drive!" She yells and drops the flags
Both cars take off quickly
The crowd cheered different names
Bets going on all over the place
"COME ON MICHAEL!!" I yell
Michaels parents joining me
Both cars going out of sight and clearing up a path which im guessing was the way they would be coming in through
A few minutes later nigels car comes up about two seconds later Michael comes in
People surround nigels car cheering loudly
A few others surround Michaels car saying stuff like "you were still great""next time" and other comments
I hop off the trunk and help Michaels mom get down
His dad jumps off and we make our way to Michael
I could see him gets out of the car with a smile on his face
He lost why is he smiling
"Michael!" I yell and run towards him
He picks me up and hugs me tight
I attach my lips to his and kiss him
"You're safe!"
"I told you theres nothing to worry about" he laughs
He sets me down
"You did great son" his dad says
" so proud of you baby" his mom says
Michael hugs them
Blonde quiff guy walks towards Michael with a huge smile on his face..... Show off
"Hey man you were great!" He shakes his hand and gives him a man hug
"Thanks, you slayed man" Michael says
"You're definitely in if you can keep up with me, think you can handle it?" He asks
Michael smiled widely "yeah sure of course"
"Awesome , ill be in touch!" The guy says
He turns to me and smiles
"Oh uh" Michael says "this is Jackie , Jackie this is Niall one of the best drivers in LA"
Niall not Nigel duh
"Jackie huh?" He eyes me up and down and smikes "nice meeting you" he says
"You too" i smile
"Yeah shes my girlfrind" Michael steps in front of me and grabs my hand
Wait what?
Niall laughs and nods "thats cool i guess, i have another race in an hour so i have to get going, ill definitely contact you later!"
Michael and Nig-Niall say their goodbyes
"So girlfriend?" I ask
Michael turns to me
"If you want" he says
"You're not mad at me anymore?" I ask
He shakes his head "you coming here is enough proof because i know you dont want to see me hurt or anything and you still came so thats enough for me"
I look at him in aw and hug him "I love you" we both say at the same time and laugh
"Enough corny stuff, your mother and I will get going we have to get up early " Michaels dad tells him "dont be late, and please kids behave"
I bite my lip and look down
Embarassing comments once again
Michaels parents walk away
"In n out?" Michael suggests
I automatically jump up and down in excitement "please oh my god yes"
We walked through the crowd, Michael collects money from a guy
We both walk hand in hand towards the parking space, a few people following
This is great i finally got Michael back and I really hope it works out
