I go downstairs to the kitchen and see Dibby making breakfast.

"Good morning Dibby!"

The rattles of the pans scare me as my voice scared Dibby. "Miss D-Deveroux!"

He shakes as he turns around to face me. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry Dibby. I didn't mean to startle you." I see that he's spilled some food onto the floor. I walk over to him with a cloth and help him clean up. "Oh n-no, Miss D-Deveroux! You m-must not c-clean! I-I will c-clean f-for you." I gently grip his hand as he tries to grab the cloth from my hands. He flinched at my touch. I spoke to him in a gentle voice, "Dibby, I don't mind. And call me Miss Joy, please." He looks at me unsure of himself before I sigh, "You know that Binky calls me Miss Joy. You may also call me Miss Joy, and I won't hurt you, ok? It'll be our little secret." I smile and flash him a wink. He nods and gives me a half smile.

We both hear footsteps coming from the hallway. I quickly help him clean up before he gets into trouble. Dibby goes back to cooking when Draco walks into the kitchen, "There you are, love." I wave, "Hi!"
Draco turns his attention to Dibby, "Why isn't breakfast ready yet?" Dibby cowers in fear. Before he could answer, I tug on Draco's arm, "It's okay, Draco. Let's go read before breakfast. Come with me?" I look at him with puppy dog eyes, "We can wait for Narcissa, then we'll eat together." He nods and takes his focus off of Dibby. "We can go to our library."

I step away from him, "You have your own library?" He chuckles, "You already read the books in my room." As Draco brings me to their library, I look back at Dibby who looked very thankful of the distraction. I flashed him another wink before turning a corner.

-

I can't believe they have a library in this place.
It's just walls filled with books of all different genres. It's like heaven. "Why didn't you tell me you have your own library?!" I slap his shoulder. He laughs then shrugs.

"Pick your poison," Draco motions for me to choose from the many books they have.
He's already chosen something and sprawled onto the couch in the middle of the room to start reading. I too find something that seemed like an interesting read and joined him on the couch.

I could feel Draco's eyes on me the second I got on the couch. "Stop staring at me, Draco."
He chuckles, "You know, I've always wanted to shag in our library." I scoff, "Didn't have enough this morning?" He shrugs his shoulders, "I can go for round two."
I roll my eyes and lean away from him as he tried to get closer to me, "No." He huffs, "Fine," and continues to read.

About half an hour goes by before Dibby finds us in the library. "Br-breakfast is r-ready."

We get to the dining room and already see Narcissa waiting for us at the table. "Good morning, my loves."
Draco walks over to greet Narcissa, "Good morning, Mother." I took a seat across of her, "Good morning, Narcissa."

Breakfast looked delicious and I couldn't wait to dig in.
While devouring our food, Narcissa began to speak. "So what did you two do this morning?" Draco began to choke on his food. "My goodness, Draco. Swallow your food." I giggle as he gets scoldings from his mother. I answer for Draco, "We were reading in the library."

"Draco has quite a collection, doesn't he?" I look at Narcissa, "Those are all his books?" She nods, "He's always taken a liking to reading, ever since he was little." I raise my eyebrows in question as I look to Draco. He smirks, "There's a reason I'm top of the class." I scoff, "Third, actually." He gets offended, "Who's getting better marks than me?!" I smile, "Well me, of course. Then there's Hermione." He scoffs, "Filthy mudblood."
I kick him under the table. "Ow!" He cries out. "Darling, are you alright?" Narcissa reaches out to comfort Draco, who shoots me an annoyed look. "Goodness Draco. You should be careful." I smile sweetly at him and he rolls his eyes.

"So Joy... did you hear from your mother?" Narcissa asks. Draco shoots her a glare, which Narcissa acknowledged but completely ignored. I didn't realize any of this was happening as I continued to eat.

I nod, "Father said she left us." The table gets quiet. Narcissa clarifies, "She left?" "Mhm." I take a sip of water. Draco interjects, "Did he say anything else?" I shrug my shoulders, "She dipped when she faked being sick. Didn't leave a note or anything. Just packed and went."
I continued to eat, while Draco and Narcissa stayed quiet. I look up at the two of them; Narcissa looking annoyed and Draco looking worried. I furrow my eyebrows, "Did I say something wrong?"

Narcissa smiles and grabs my hand, "Oh no, dear." She stands up from her seat, "If you two will excuse me, I must send out an owl." Narcissa gives Draco a look before walking away from the table.

"Is everything alright?" I ask. Draco smiles, "Of course, love." He wiped his mouth and scoots his seat back, "Come find me when you're done. I have something special planned for us today." I nod and continue to eat as he excused himself from the table.

'What the fuck was that about?'
