My second day at the hospital has been pretty much the same as the first. I'm starting to learn where everything is and Olivia doesn't have to show me around as much anymore.

After dealing with the initial appointments Olivia had for the day, Lucas and I are sitting free in the hospital cafeteria. It's a small place, mostly used by all the omegas who work here. He is helping me go over one of the books I got from the library yesterday. I am trying to learn werewolf anatomy when Olivia joins us at the table. She greets us and then turns to face me.

"April, I wanted to talk to you about something," he begins.

"Is everything okay," I ask.

"Yes, yes. I was just going through my files and I came across this," she says, sliding a folder across the table. I open it and begin looking through and Lucas joins me as well.

"Chloe is actually a human," Olivia informs as Lucas and I skim through her file. I see the results of numerous tests, all of which seem to be normal.

"She seems fine to me," I say as I continue scanning the file.

"Yeah," Lucas agrees.

"Yes, all of her test results are normal. But her and her mate have been trying to have a baby for more than a year now and there hasn't been any luck," she explains.

"What about her mate," I ask.

"Werewolves don't experience infertility. Neither male, nor female. But even then, we checked him out and all his tests were normal as well."

"The truth is, until you, we thought it was simply because werewolves and humans couldn't procreate together." She finishes.

"Oh. I didn't know that," I say, nervously. "I don't know how I can help with this, though" I add.

"I was wondering if you could tell me about your parents. Did they experience anything like this or was everything normal for them?"

I begin to explain to her how I didn't really know my father until I was eighteen but considering the sudden situation of my mother's pregnancy, it's pretty clear they didn't experience any problems in that department.

"We could do some research and see if we can find more people like me," I add. "I mean, I knew it was uncommon for werewolves to have human mates but I didn't realise it was that rare."

Our conversation is cut short when someone mind-links Olivia to let her know a boy broke his arm while training. I offer to deal with the situation and she gladly agrees. I get up and leave for the emergency room, navigating easily through the building. Upon entering the room, I spot the boy sitting on the bed, his arm limping on the side. He looks around eighteen or nineteen.

I walk over to him and introduce myself as I begin examining his arm. He winces a little but doesn't make a sound.

"Looks like a dislocated shoulder," I say assessing the injury.

We are interrupted by faint sounds of people yelling.

"Wonder what that's all about," the boy murmurs as the ruckus outside slowly grows louder.

"Why don't you find out," I say pointing to his head, suggesting he mind-link to see if someone can tell him what's going on.

He nods and begins concentrating and I take the opportunity to pop the bone back into the socket. He yelps in pain and I give him a huge smile. "All fixed," I say. He slowly moves his arm around, smiling. "You should be back to normal in a couple of hours," I inform.

The noise outside begins to grow and we both snap our head in its direction direction.

"There's been some kind of attack," the boy says in a serious tone and I turn my gaze towards him.
