Chapter 13

Derek held my hand as both existed out the room with Chloe and Carter behind us. Although they were a few feet away from us I still heard their conversation.

"Why can't we match like them? I think it's cute," Chloe whispered as she nudged his arm.

"You never mentioned it, babe," Carter chuckled.

Splendor sat on the stairs in the back porch of the mansion. He promised Y/N he was going to watch over Sally. So far, he hasn't broken the promise. The toddler was running around, picking flowers from the grass.

"I had to ask everyone in the mansion where were you only to receive no answer. What are you doing here?" Offender asked as he sat next to Splendor.

"I promised Y/N I was going to watch over Sally. I intend on keeping that promise," he replied.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but I would rather have a whole month not being able to rape a woman than having to worry about Y/N for five days." Offender admitted.

"I never thought you would've said that if I didn't hear it," Trender spoke out as he shut the back door behind him.

"Come on, I know I'm not the only one that isn't worried here." He growled as he watched Trender sit next to Splendor who's now in the middle.

"Watching over Sally made me remember the times when I watched over Y/N. I can't help but notice the similarities in how they act." Splendor spoke out.

Offender corrected him, "How Y/n used to act. She was seven when she became more reserved. It was too much of a dramatic change for a seven-year-old who was always filled with energy. I still wonder what happened to her."

Sally ran up to Splendor which a bunch of flowers in her hands.

"Do you think Y/N will like these for her birthday party?"Both Trender and Offender looked at Splendor.

"Sally, remember that Y/N doesn't like celebrating her birthday."

"I know but she said she'll celebrate it with me. She also said she'll try to come back early!" She exclaimed. "What if she comes back early? I want to make sure it's ready!"

The Slender brothers looked at each other. They didn't know how to reply to that.

"Sally what if you pick more flowers? I bet she'll love to see them," Splendor suggested. The brunette widens her eyes in excitement as she nodded. She ran back into the field to try to search for more beautiful flowers.

"I don't understand how Slenderman isn't worried about Y/N. I understand that she's his proxy, but he raised her." Offender spoke out

"Slender didn't raise her. You know who did. Slender was against having Y/n in the mansion," Trender reminded him.

"What if he cares about her? He just doesn't want to admit it?" Splendor suggested.

Offender shook his head. "If he cared about her, he wouldn't have sent her off that stupid mission. Especially when Zalgo's awakening is just around the corner," he mumbled the last part. "I have faith in her though. She was trained for almost 10 years. I know she can take of herself."

"I thought I made it perfectly clear I didn't want her name to be mentioned inside the mansion."

The slender brothers turned their head to face Slender who was behind them with his arms crossed.

"You said it yourself brother. We can't mention her inside not outside." Offender said with a smirk. He knew he won the argument.

"I have faith that my proxy will accomplish the mission."

"But you sent her off when Zalgo's awakening could happen at any moment!" Offender shouted as he stood up.

"Why do you think I gave her five days to kill three people? Knowing her, she'll return early."

"But what if she doesn't!"

Slender stood silent for a few seconds before looking at Sally who was still picking flowers. "If she doesn't return, I will assume she died by the hands of Derek or Zalgo killed her when she made her way back. If that's the case then it seems history will repeat itself. Sally will be trained to become an assassin. Masky will replace Y/N while Sally grows up."

"Both Offender and Splendor had their mouths agape. It seemed as Slenderman had everything planned out if his first proxy was murdered.

They stood there in silence until Trenderman spoke out, "Brother, I fear that your proxy will b murdered soon which will result in you regretting your actions."

Slenderman glanced towards Sally before he lightly hummed. He opened the back door and went inside the mansion without letting his brothers have the chance to speak.

"I fear you may be right brother," Splendor whispered as he stared at the sunset.

Offender looked down at him. His light-hearted brother had turned sorrowful. It broke his heart to see him like this.

Splendor sighed as he rubbed his forehead with his hand. "It will be too late when he realizes his true feelings for her."
